I don’t know why I always end up listening or reading some📖📱 erotica romance. Like I am reading the description of the book but never assumed anything until I actually listened or read it. Then I’m like may as well read it huh?
P. S. If you want to listen to this on audible doesn’t because the lady narrator voice is Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh so not fitting for the guy characters or women. U dislike a narrator with an ugly voice. 😥😶😷😭😫😫😫 But the story was interesting enough.

Book Description:

Justine is a public school teacher who is just barely able to afford rent in New York City. When she returns to the suburbs for her mother’s wedding, she meets a man in a bar and they bond. Although she doesn’t usually go home with men she’s just met, something about this one is different. They share the best night of sex that Justine has ever experienced – a night she hopes to remember for the rest of her life.

It doesn’t take long for her to learn, however, that the hot stranger is none other than the wealthy son of her mom’s new husband – making him Justine’s new (hot and wealthy) step-brother.

In this short story featuring a step-brother romance, Justine must decide whether her happiness is worth navigating the forbidden nature of their relationship. Can she overcome her reservations about his lavish lifestyle and their status as step-siblings? Or will she resist his temptations and suffer the loneliness of her moral high ground?

Book Review

Spoilers? Not really, since I really didn’t say much! Lol!

On the Fence, was a really good book, I should’ve been read this book. I couldn’t stop listening to it once I started on it. Charlie, and Braden, I knew they were going to end up together close or at the end. That’s how most stories end.

Also, the narrator did a good job when she was talking as both male and female.
Book Description:
For sixteen-year-old Charlotte Reynolds, aka Charlie, being raised by a single dad and three older brothers has its perks. She can outrun, outscore, and outwit every boy she knows—including her longtime neighbor and honorary fourth brother, Braden. But when it comes to being a girl, Charlie doesn’t know the first thing about anything. So when she starts working at chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world of makeup, lacy skirts, and BeDazzlers. Even stranger, she’s spending time with a boy who has never seen her tear it up in a pickup game.

To cope with the stress of faking her way through this new reality, Charlie seeks late-night refuge in her backyard, talking out her problems with Braden by the fence that separates them. But their Fence Chats can’t solve Charlie’s biggest problem: she’s falling for Braden. Hard. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.

Book Review:

This book was good. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I believe every book, I’ve read so far by Tijan wasn’t a disappointment I like the authors who can pull me in, in every book.

Emma, was so annoying at times lol, Gah, she didn’t listen at all to what Carter was trying to tell her. And like her friend Amanda said Carter will move heaven and earth for her and that he would. The men character is so much better than the men in the real world lmao. It’s a shame, well it depends on the book, and what it’s about at the time. But IDK why I think her (EMMA) friend Amanda going to end up with Jen (Carter Associate Friend Guy, Who Work With Him). Even though he’s creepy and look scary. It’s just that feeling. Can’t wait to read part 2 I mean listen to part 2 on audible. Hopefully, Emma and Carter don’t bang throughout the book, cause dang, I wanted them to get it on in the beginning but after awhile I’m like – Okaaaaaaaaaay Emma dang. Lol ugh! She drools every 1.5 seconds that man around lol.

P. S.

Smh, that Ben guy that’s all I’m going to say.

they can get LOUD! < Amanda saying about Teresa and Carter friend “Noah” Amanda like boop never mind I will get a room at your house, Emma!

Lmao, that doctor was hilarious, I think he was reading my mind before I gotten to the section of the book ” You need rest lots of it, that means no nothing! Carter no sex, no fighting, no nothing, if you can work from home I recommend it! And I mean it about the sex! Don’t think I didn’t see that cute honey standing looking all concern before! NO SEX! “”

And then he’s Like DONT HAVE SEX with HIM! Lmao even if you’re doing all the work!

Book Review:

Few Spoilers…

This story was really good, but I thought Dominique was a little stubborn and hard headed at what Harris was trying to tell her. Like him, I knew it had to be someone in her family. And the HATE her sister Charmaine had for her I figured it would be her the one who was doing all those harmful stalkerish things to Dominique. Not only her the dude Lloyd, he and Charmaine were showing Neeka they dislike her and Harris knew it too, But Neeka didn’t want to listen. And idk why Neeka wanted to prove herself to her family so bad because if my family dislike me or don’t want to help me, I’d be petty as hell, and be rude just like them. SMH for them to think they’re better than someone and didn’t approve of Harris. Becuase he didn’t wear a suit and Dom didn’t like the way he was dressed and looked at first but had a change of heart afterward. I also was happy that Harris and Doc build a relationship.

Description:

Fiona Davis, the author of The Dollhouse, returns with a compelling novel about the thin lines between love and loss, success and ruin, passion and madness, all hidden behind the walls of The Dakota—New York City’s most famous residence.

After a failed apprenticeship, working her way up to head housekeeper of a posh London hotel is more than Sara Smythe ever thought she’d make of herself. But when a chance encounter with Theodore Camden, one of the architects of the grand New York apartment house The Dakota, leads to a job offer, her world is suddenly awash in possibility—no mean feat for a servant in 1884. The opportunity to move to America, where a person can rise above one’s station. The opportunity to be the female manager of The Dakota, which promises to be the greatest apartment house in the world. And the opportunity to see more of Theo, who understands Sara like no one else…and is living in The Dakota with his wife and three young children.

In 1985, Bailey Camden is desperate for new opportunities. Fresh out of rehab, the former party girl and interior designer is homeless, jobless, and penniless. Two generations ago, Bailey’s grandfather was the ward of famed architect Theodore Camden. But the absence of a genetic connection means Bailey won’t see a dime of the Camden family’s substantial estate. Instead, her “cousin” Melinda—Camden’s biological great-granddaughter—will inherit almost everything. So when Melinda offers to let Bailey oversee the renovation of her lavish Dakota apartment, Bailey jumps at the chance, despite her dislike of Melinda’s vision. The renovation will take away all the character and history of the apartment Theodore Camden himself lived in…and died in, after suffering multiple stab wounds by a madwoman named Sara Smythe, a former Dakota employee who had previously spent seven months in an insane asylum on Blackwell’s Island.

One hundred years apart, Sara and Bailey are both tempted by and struggle against the golden excess of their respective ages—for Sara, the opulence of a world ruled by the Astors and Vanderbilts; for Bailey, the free-flowing drinks and cocaine in the nightclubs of New York City—and take refuge and solace in the Upper West Side’s gilded fortress. But a building with a history as rich—and often tragic—as The Dakota’s can’t hold its secrets forever, and what Bailey discovers in its basement could turn everything she thought she knew about Theodore Camden—and the woman who killed him—on its head.

With rich historical detail, nuanced characters, and gorgeous prose, Fiona Davis once again delivers a compulsively readable novel that peels back the layers of not only a famed institution but the lives—and lies—of the beating hearts within.

Book Review:

Few Spoilers here and there….

The Other Side of Dare is really good, and it getting juicer and juicer, Lord I didn’t want to put this book down and stop reading but I had to. I was like I have to find out what happened next. Lord knows I have to get and find the other book so I can find out if Andrew will learn about Paris sleeping with Darius, myself I couldn’t figure out if they did or not. And the devil not finishes with Darius, it’s like he doesn’t want help or to actually fix his marriage in the right way. He may end up losing more than what he wanted and I bet Paris will be right in the middle and lose Andrew. But I couldn’t hate Gabrielle, as much as other people but she wanted her daughter back and I thought it was right for her to get a full custody of her own child. Hopefully, she will tell her daughter Jasmin who her father and siblings are instead of holding out on secret and be whiny when the girl finds out. But this book was not a letdown nor was I disappointed.

Description:

When a battle of wills threatens to tear a family apart, a child shall lead them–straight to a shocking secret. Will they betray their faith–and each other–to keep it buried?
After seven years of marriage, Paris Simmons-Holyfield and her husband, Andrew, are still childless. Now Paris is determined to adopt orphaned nine-year-old Jasmine Noble. Trouble is, Jasmine’s in the custody of ex-stripper Gabrielle Mercedes. Worse, Andrew is vehemently against the idea–and he’s not alone. Paris’s father, Lawrence Simmons, a powerful politician, has vowed to shut his daughter down. The only man to even dare be on Paris’s side is shady Darius Connors. Unemployed and not quite out of the dog house with his wife, Darius is more than happy to help the beautiful, vulnerable, yet undeterred Paris. . .
Paris has her suspicions about why her husband and her father are so opposed to the adoption. But the reality is far more scandalous than she imagines. To get to the bottom of it, she’ll have to deal with blackmail from the last person she ever expected–and battle Gabrielle, who’ll fight with everything she’s got–including the truth. Soon, all involved will learn just what’s on the other side of dare. . .

Description:

From one of the most beloved voices in romance comes a lush new novel of a chance meeting, a forced marriage-and the surprise of a love so passionate it cannot be denied. Set against the backdrop of Regency London and the English countryside, New York Times bestselling author Shirlee Busbee’s return to historical romance is a triumph readers will treasure. Love Is Sweetest When It’s Unexpected Nell Anslowe and Julian, Earl of Wyndham, are an unlikely couple in every respect. Injured in a riding accident ten years ago, Nell was left with a fiance who abandoned their engagement, a slight limp, terrifying nightmares, and the firm belief that she will never marry. The abrupt end of Julian’s unhappy marriage formed his resolve to remain a bachelor until the end of his days. But as Julian chases down his reckless stepsister, he seeks shelter from a summer storm in a cottage-and finds it occupied by Nell, who has escaped from a fortune-seeking libertine bent on carrying her off to Gretna Green. Discovered together by Nell’s family, the couple’s hasty wedding is the only way to save Nell from scandal-but the polite union each of them expects blossoms into something much more powerful . . . Busbee’s sweeping new novel delves into the souls of a man and a woman too wounded to believe in love-and too passionate to deny the truth in their hearts. “One of the best romantic writers of our time” -Affaire de Coeur “Every romance author alive owes Shirlee Busbee a huge debt . . . now she is back and better than ever” -New York Times bestselling author, Julia Quinn
