Grand Slam by Heidi McLaughlin

Book Review

Dude, I was itching to read this story about Travis and crack up-on his one-liners. But his story wasn’t even what I suspected even though this story, was REALLY good, I did want more of Travis one-liners, he reminds me of myself because he be saying some weird stuff.

I am glad he found LOVE throughout the book with Saylor because he deserved it even though that chicken kneck girl, lied because he didn’t want to go home with her because Saylor had is full attention, I always say, you can’t always believe EVERYTHING! These women say, about these celebrities because it can be a lie, reading this book and before reading this book, you can’t always believe everything in the news. Because ‘some women’ not all but ‘most’ will ruin a man’s imagine for no reason either for money or because they didn’t want them.

I was happy that Travis stayed with his team and in Boston, and Lucy, he adopted her as his own child, that dad of hers tired of ruining everything for both Saylor and Travis. Really like this little girl doesn’t know you, at all and trying to take her from the people she knows is wrong in my opinion.

Glad for a happy ending. Hopefully, the author gives us a story about Branch, and we learn that Travis and Saylor has a child or two on the way. (:

I do want more of Travis one-liners I didn’t get enough in the book about him until halfway until the end.

Win the game. Lose your heart.
Everyone knows who I am and that I could have any female fan I want. That’s supposed to be the “perk” of playing left field for the Boston Renegades. But I don’t want just any woman; I want her.

She should be just another face in the crowd, but I can’t stop thinking about the one night we spent together-and her look of regret the morning after.

Because Saylor Blackwell is the kind of woman who haunts a man. Smart, sexy as hell, and one of the best managers in the business. She’s every ballplayer’s dream woman. And I’d do anything to make things right with her.

I’m done sitting on the bench when it comes to Saylor Blackwell. Time to swing for the fences.
