Currently reading 📖 “Lucky In Love by Kasie West…
Lord, this girl Maddie, is so naive, her best friends are smarter than her. Except for Elise, Blair I can tell the smart one, of the bunch, this girl Maddie wins the lottery not seeing how everyone is using her especially the family she never MET, those kids at school she never once spoke too. Like a dang girl, just think, IDC if I did win the lottery I wouldn’t be buying so much stuff especially if it’s REALLY high that money is gone before you know it. Plus she trying to go to college, and use the money for paying for school before she even gets there I feel like it might disappear. It’s funny how she finally realized everyone was using her like her best friend Elise, I thought Blair did too. Thought I think she did anyway, Elise wasn’t really her friend, to begin with, smh. Then there’s her brother he used her too. She was getting on my last nerve for begin so naive and not realizing what those people want for her. And then the one person who didn’t use her “Seth” she flipped out on him when actuality he didn’t want her money he ONLY wanted her he did everything to get her attention and that was before and after the money. Like gah girl smh! I swear the way she was blowing her money on stuff she didn’t need to get I thought it was going to be all gone. I was glad when she FINALLY put it into important things at the end of college and the zoo because it was something “she wanted.” I will say Maddie is like my mother, let people use her and don’t get anything in return.
This story was actually good though, it was the second book by Kacie West that I thought was waaaay different from the ones I did read. A good story cannot wait until I read the others by her.
Can’t buy me love…
Maddie’s not impulsive. She’s all about hard work and planning ahead. But one night, on a whim, she buys a lottery ticket. And then, to her astonishment—
In a flash, Maddie’s life is unrecognizable. No more stressing about college scholarships. Suddenly, she’s talking about renting a yacht. And being in the spotlight at school is fun…until rumors start flying, and random people ask her for loans. Now Maddie isn’t sure who she can trust.
Except for Seth Nguyen, her funny, charming coworker at the local zoo. Seth doesn’t seem aware of Maddie’s big news. And, for some reason, she doesn’t want to tell him. But what will happen if he learns her secret?
