Piece by Piece (Rumor Has It #5) by R.H. Tucker (Author)

Finally got around to reading piece by piece by @rhtuckerauthor! Very good book, I am not disappointed. But seeing the name of this book; my theme song for this book is “piece by piece by Kelly Clarkson” ⭐️📙🧡💛 Currently reading 📖 📱……. another series I enjoyed…

Book Review:

****•There’s a lot of spoilers throughout this review; so beware ******•••

I don’t know how many times I want to smack the shit out of Sasha ass because Taylor was so disrespectful to her and mean! & when he comes around or call she go running. Gah! She reminds me of two stupid females in my family! I felt like Taylor could’ve gotten over his hurt with his ex-girlfriend that died; they were teenagers then; he’s 20 years old now. But instead, he tends to push his friend Micah away and even disrespected his girlfriend and punched Micah… I only felt that Calvin just deserved that SMACKDOWN! But I believe that Taylor could’ve told his friends minus Calvin the reason behind why he acts the way he does. I think he could’ve trusted Micah, Sasha, and Ethan but he was an asshole a BIG one at that. I never knew he was going through what he was going through when I was reading the book with his best friend Micah and Veronica.. but for him to go out a mess around with girls, so he doesn’t dream of Reese and fall in love, so he doesn’t forget her is ridiculous. Because I felt like you will always have that person in your memory even when they are gone. But I still wanted to punch him in his throat and also wanted to smack Sasha… because he makes me sick for not going home more (but I understand) and pushing his main friends away Micah and Sasha. & Sasha for being dumb as heck for running every time he said JUMP. I felt like when he says jump she says how HIGH … it got on my nerves so bad that I just kept rolling my eyes. I was with her sister Felecia on that. Because I wanted Sasha to diss him or don’t speak to him to show him how she felt and even go on a date with Ian to show him she could do better; since he wasn’t over Reese.

But hearing him tell Sasha the story between him and Reese so sad, it even gave me little tears to my eyes especially with Reese being pregnant when she died. Gah! Such a tragic story sheesh! Like I said I understood why he didn’t want to tell anyone because he blames himself, but I’m glad he finally told Sasha what happened. But I also realized why no one blames him either; you look at it honestly wasn’t his fault that he gotten hurt and she died. I think that it helped Taylor in so many ways to get out everything that he was feeling inside of him when he came back well more came to Sasha apartment to talk to her. Because I think they would have a relationship if he didn’t try to fix himself especially when he actually wants to be with her but doesn’t know how but especially when he doesn’t want to forget Reese. Which I think ridiculous; because you’ll always remember a loved one. REGARDLESS. This story was so different and sadder than any of the books to this series. Like sheesh! Talk about sad; pain in the ass; annoying all in one.

I always thought that Taylor should’ve let Sasha go until he figures his crap out within himself. Instead of stringing her along. More feelings get hurt by doing that. I felt terrible for Sasha because I knew she wanted more from Taylor and he couldn’t give it to her at that time. I thought a little bit of therapy would’ve continued helping him too. & in the end, I’m glad Sasha told him that needed to figure things out. I was like yasss girl! I think that with Reece brother AJ talking to him and his talks with Reece help him get a lot of reinsurance (don’t think that’s the word but whatever). But I think that is what Taylor needed that push; he gained that understanding with AJ… I was like if he doesn’t finally admit and get his woman. I’m a smack him to North Dakota. I wanted to smack him to North Dakota too especially at that flipping supper Market. Damn he got on my last damn nerves in this book. Now I’m not even mad at him 😂 when I realize Celery McGiggles is that girl Claire he trains at the new gym he works at…

She (Sasha) did him on him (Taylor) damn it’s so funny 😂 , but it’s sad at the same time. Like the same way he pushes her away she’s doing it right back. I’m here like yasss girl pay him back. But I feel so bad for him even though he got on my nerves that wanted to body slam him a few times throughout the book. But dang poor boy; I want to say he was going to “cry on his home” or when he “get home”…
When Tara ask was Sasha eating eggs I’m like don’t tell me pregnant… but then that’s not it; I want to smack for doing that to him too. Because he was coming there to get Sasha back ugh these two irk my nerves. But couldn’t stop reading until the end! Wishing they hurry up and be together with their annoying selves. & in the end, I am like about flipping time f*ck!!! … but I have to agree Taylor would’ve made a great dad too especially how he is with Ashley, Ethan daughter. It cracked me up when Taylor had to tell her Sasha wasn’t his girlfriend & she didn’t want Sasha close. Priceless… this book was good & I wasn’t disappointed. May as well said I read it in one day…
***“I’ll always thank you, Sasha, because I don’t know that I’d be where I am now if it wasn’t for you. I know I’ve told you before, but every piece of my heart that I have left is yours. I love you.**** <<< one part of this book I like because this is true; if it wasn’t for Sasha he still is pitiful drowning in his pain & shutting people out. I’m glad he made up with Micah too. He only had two real friends anyways that was Micah and Ethan. I saw that throughout the book.

Book Description:

Everything can change in an instant.

They say you don’t know what you have until it’s gone, but the truth is, sometimes you know exactly what you have. And when it’s gone, you start to fade away, too.

Taylor Hopkins knows this firsthand. For the past couple of years, he’s focused on only three things: college, working out, and girls. School to focus on the future and forget the past. Exercising to zone out and clear his mind. And girls for all of the above. Then Sasha falls into his life …

Sasha Williams loves to cook. Skipping her second year of college to work under a head chef and owner of a restaurant was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up. After yet another breakup with a guy still hung up on his ex, she decides a night out is the perfect thing to wash away recent memories, and make sure her focus is on cooking. Of course, it doesn’t help that meeting Taylor, and a subsequent deal between them, turns into something she never thought she’d face.

While trying to break down walls, Taylor and Sasha work to come to terms with a future between them. But can you build a future on a foundation that continues to crumble away?

Piece by Piece is the fifth book in the Rumor Has It series and can be read as a stand-alone.

Misadventures with a Country Boy (Misadventures #17) by Elizabeth Hayley (Author)

I’m about to start this book! Let’s just hope that it is good! 🙌🏽⭐️📖💨

Book Review:

••**Not many spoilers throughout since its short, but there’s information the book in this review; don’t read if you are reading planning to read***••

I hate “sometimes” reading a book that is one-sided. Because I love to read the “male” thoughts and not only the “female” thoughts, it’s always one-sided…

But then I cracked open the book and got excited because the guy part is there… 😂 I was so disappointed because it didn’t have “Cole” or “Brook” in each section; which can be confusing at times.

“Misadventures with a Country Boy” I am going to say that the authors did a good job. I wasn’t disappointed at all. It didn’t take me long to finish it. I enjoyed Brook and Cole, the story they both were good for each other. I believe that if it weren’t for Cole, Brook would’ve been stuck under her parent’s thumb, what I hoped was her sister end up getting from under their parent thumb too. It sucks that they thought that Cole, was beneath Brook and the other rich people. It was ridiculous and ignorant of Dean and her parents to consider the thoughts they did of Cole. Even though Brook made remarks against Cole, she wasn’t as harsh as her parents. I was glad in the end that both Cole and Brook chose each other. & Brook didn’t continue to work under her parent’s thumb.

Book Description:

Brooke Devereaux has a lot she wants to escape from: a career she never asked for, a future she doesn’t want, and parents who’ve only ever seen her as a business opportunity. But in her desire to experience life, she quickly realizes she’s lacking in one very important skill—how to survive on her own.

Former soldier Cole Timmons is an expert at running away. Whether it’s from his rural hometown, alcoholic father, or painful memories, Cole doesn’t hesitate to leave… Until he encounters an out-of-place woman at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. The wealthy “princess” couldn’t be more different from the country loner, and the pair get off to a rocky and misadventurous start.

But sometimes exteriors are armors meant to deceive. Sometimes what’s beneath reveals more than anyone ever realized. Sometimes, in order to stop running away, a person simply needs to find something to run toward.

The Holiday Kiss (Briarwood High #4) by Maggie Dallen (Author)

The fourth book to the Briarwood series.. that I need to finish… I hope can get far in it today. 53016206_1938632289596332_7584800695845388288_o.jpg

Book Review:

***I didn’t even really add any spoilers; just my little thoughts***

I swear I believe this whole series was based on a kiss. I was annoyed by book three. & also I kept thinking I read this book, but I didn’t I am like this book sounds so familiar to another book I have read the similarities are by far to the same … I wish I could remember which book it was… I know it was some book from last year I read about two teens. But let me see if it is similar once I start to read this book and get into the characters because that description has so many similarities to that one book I had read…

But enough about that let’s talk about Maya and Luke. But before I do I wonder why book five the guy name is Luke and the book six the guy name Lucas… Luke is known for Lucas the short version “nickname” I was confusing by that too …

But other than what I mentioned above, this book was good at one point, but then I got bored and tired of reading because the chapters (it’s was 11 chapters) but the chapters were so long! I was over it by chapter 8. Even though I was over it; I did enjoy Maya and Luke story. ***in the end, this book, wasn’t like the book I have read”** I DID NOT LIKE THIS BOOK PERIOD!!! I am glad I did read this book last because book 5 was actually GOOOD

Book Description:

When an uptight nerd is forced to spend her holiday vacation with a cocky jock…well, let’s just say Christmas at the beach has never been so hot.

With early acceptance to Harvard under her belt and graduation just months away, life is good for Maya Rivero. She’s ready to celebrate Christmas in Mexico with her mother, like every year, leaving behind the Briarwood classmates who’ve never understood her. She can’t wait to say adios to Luke Perona, in particular. Archnemesis, captain of the swim team, and all-around arrogant jerk, he’s become more of a nuisance than ever now that her mom has befriended Luke’s newly divorced mother. They’ve become such good friends, in fact, that Maya’s mother feels compelled to invite the entire Perona family to join them on vacation. Including Luke.

Her vacation is ruined with one fateful invite. But when these two polar opposites are forced to spend time together outside the confines of Briarwood High, the truth becomes startlingly clear. They have more in common than they’d thought. In fact…these long-time rivals might even like each other. And it only takes one major holiday, two meddling mothers, and an epic holiday kiss to make them see it.

Each Briarwood High novel is a completely standalone romance and they can be read in any order.

Misadventures on the Rebound (Misadventures #16) by Lauren Rowe

About to read “misadventures on the rebound” I’m hoping this one is actually good….

Book Review:

••*** so there it spoilers throughout this review•***

So the boy that she lost her virginity to has to be Mason, and I bet Aiden was someone she didn’t know or someone she knew of but he wasn’t popular and or a trouble maker. Ohh I cannot wait to figure out who is Aiden, and will she ever see Mason again…. at the class reunion…

But other than that the first beginning of this book is so freaking hilarious like omg, the part where she mentions about beginning a virgin and losing her virginity dress like a chicken. But; when she went running like a chicken with its head cut off. To find a hiding place, because they were playing truth or dare/hide and seek. When she was found she “Buh-gawk at Mason 😂🤣…Man, I was done for after that…. the author a good job on that… had me dying laughing…

What I did like was Aiden admitting he was Dyslexic, and Savvy didn’t care that he was. I have, and regardless of that learning disability, you are smart in your way. Just like Aiden, I’m not school smart ( I’m in between smart on somethings school), but I’m more street smart among other things. I could tell that he actually liked her, and was glad that he didn’t try to con Savvy; especially with her having to deal with Mason, her dad, and wack Derek….at least Aiden came to his senses, but it sucks that he has to pay for his dad mistakes again…. instead of making himself happy. I can’t wait until he does with Savvy. But I want Savvy to get pregnant for some reason. But 9 out of 10 probably not going to happen. Though; between that I want Aiden to go with Savvy to her class reunion to show Mason she bad a$$…

But all that money that Aiden has to come up with to save his dad life, “seventy-five grand” once and I hope once he does save his dad life I hope his dad gets himself together. Because it’s ridiculous that Aiden has to sale himself to a woman who is 50+ and his only twenty-four bad enough she wanted him when he was only sixteen, talk about pervert … I hope that Aiden ends up finding a way to get that money by Sunday, without having to be with that lady Regina for fourth eight hours. Then he more likely has to see her too. I was hoping her (Savvy) friend Kyle can help her money wise since he is a friend well as he called it a baby sister to Lucas the rockstar .. the book I’ve read before 🙌🏽👌🏽 Misadventures of a Rockstar.. but wait or was it the Night Shift it was one of them 😂 I think it was the Night Shift yes. Misadventures on the Night Shift…!!! But anyways I do hope that Savvy comes up with a solution to help Aiden… I wouldn’t blame him for not wanting to lose his father.

I love this book; I am not disappointed at all. The author did a good job; I hope that I will not get annoyed or be over the book by chapter 20 + … because it tends to happen a lot!!! But what I’m trying to figure out did they use a condom those three times, (1) inside of her SUV, (2) once they got to the hotel, (3) the last day that they were going to see each other once Sunday hit (ext; chapter sixteen).

But end the end, they both ended up happy and married with Aiden getting a record deal; I knew all it took was her friend Kyle to hear and see him play. Not only that I was glad, but she also got to tell both Mason off and especially Derek wack self. He was just horrible, especially at her class reunion, I was happy that Mason took up for both Aiden and Savvy… when Derek has punch Aiden; after Aiden beat the dust out of Derek. HA, priceless.

Book Description:

After getting canned from her dream job this morning and played in spectacular fashion by her boyfriend this afternoon, Savannah “Savvy” Valentine is having a truly awful day. Which is why she’s currently drowning her sorrows in whiskey and self-pity in a shabby bar along the route to Las Vegas.

In light of today’s double whammy, Savvy isn’t sure why she’s still heading in the direction of her five-year high school reunion. The only reason she’d wanted to attend the reunion in Vegas in the first place was to show the captain of the football team, the guy who took her virginity and then promptly rejected her, that the captain of the math team grew up to have all enviable hot things: hot body, hot boyfriend, and hot career. Now, the only “hot” thing about Savvy Valentine is her mess.

But when a gorgeous stranger with sandy hair, a leather jacket, and motorcycle helmet walks into the bar, Savvy’s awful day suddenly looks a whole lot brighter. The man is perfection. Sexy and mysterious. And he’s heading to Las Vegas, too.

Can one wild night with a sexy stranger in the middle of nowhere lead a girl to fall desperately and deeply in love in Las Vegas? Savvy Valentine is about to find out.

Lord why this so funny to me. The chicken 🐓 part 😂😂 just why … I will always crack up at #chickenwithitsheadcutoff

Misadventures with a Professor (Misadventures #15) by Sierra Simone (Author)

So okay, I was reading the “good wife” but I literally got bored with that book … I had to put it on pause … so instead I started to read “professor” which is actually better and more interesting… though I am still curious about why in the book “good wife” her husband left then came back I just hate reading books that don’t pique my interest!!!!! So far “Misadventures with a Professor 👨‍🏫 “ is actually good. 🙌🏽📖🛌⭐️🔥📘 after this one, I more than likely go back to the “good wife”. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤯

Book Review:

>>^^^**** There are many possibilities that there are more no; they’re going to be spoilers in this review of Misadventures with a “Professor”…

In my opinion, I hope that she doesn’t tell him. I hope that she up and leave, and he ends up chasing her due to the fact, that he found those THREE pregnancy tests that she had taken. End the end I do want to know what will her father say about her and the professor “Oliver” being together. But I want to say this, how OLD is the professor like he was a student of her father, so he must be at least in his 30 or 40s… I hate when books mention the female age, but never the male age. It’s ridiculous.

But what I did know was she was going to leave him, which I was right but he ends up coming for what he wanted once she set him straight… I was waiting on him to realize that Zandy wasn’t Rosie she was so different and she accepted him for who he was and what he wanted.

The only thing I didn’t like was when they were playing teacher/professor and student he got on my last nerve 😂😂 I know he was a professor but gosh #Gahd

Zandy Lynch never planned on going to grad school a virgin. So when her professor father finds her a job abroad as a research assistant the summer before she starts her master’s program, she sees her chance. She’s got one night in London to lose her V-card to a Mr. Darcy lookalike before she has to join some ancient professor in the country.

Oliver Graeme is not looking forward to having some American co-ed hovering around while he’s trying to work, but he owes her father the favor, and besides, his office is an untidy mess of uncatalogued research. He needs the help. Still, he decides to take the edge off his frustration while visiting a colleague in London, and winds up having the sexiest, sweetest night of his life with a stranger, who vanishes in the morning without a trace…

To Zandy’s shock when she arrives at Professor Graeme’s house a day later, the door isn’t opened by a fussy old scholar, but by the wild, passionate man she met in London. Cold and reserved by day, Oliver is ferociously greedy with her at night, and it’s not long before Zandy finds herself falling for both versions of him—the aloof professor and the generous, rough lover. The trouble is that summer only lasts so long, and Zandy already has a plane ticket waiting to take her home…

The Candy Cane Kiss (Briarwood High #6) by Maggie Dallen (Author)

This book is actually funny and good! I hate reading Christmas books. But only read them when they are part of a series like this book. & this series has two of them. Bleh! I skip pass book 📖 4 and reading book 5… I’ll go back to book 4 after I read book 5

Book Review:

***Candy Cane had something to do with her stocking “Christmas stocking” …. which was Lucas nickname for her… 🙌🏽

I’m not going to say too much, but this story was cute. I don’t get the Christmas stories. I guess it always has to be one every Christmas when it comes to series. Which sucks. But in the end, this book was still good and interesting enough!

So, Lucas and Lola are two complete opposites. But they both made one another happy. She even him out as well as he did for her. You always need that one person in your life who change you for the better. That was Lucas for Lola and Lola for Lucas. See Eleanor didn’t do that for Lucas, same as he didn’t do it for her. He didn’t care for Eleanor as he did for Lola… he showed feeling for Lola: Even Eleanor and her friend Blake seem to understand and see that his feeling for both girls was different. Lola, I am kind of like her minus the clothing that she wears. She’s a loner and doesn’t care what others think and what they think about her. She has her own mind and do what she wants and sees fit. She was dressing the way she wants and didn’t care that Blake or even Lucas like her style. Up until he learns to LOVE her, her weirdness, and her style. Even Eleanor and Blake began to like her and her style. More so that had something to do with Lucas. Especially when it came to swing dancing… I can’t see myself doing that dance, but it does seem like something fun to do. Especially if you someone that’s a loner., you can go out and meet those who are into the same thing as you. That is what Lola did; even though she had Lucas and his friends with her. I like in the end he finally admitted to her (Lola) that he liked (no LOVE) her and actually wanted to kiss her (not because Eleanor was just there)… and they ended up making the dance into her retro vintage style (as everyone call it “old lady clothing”) …. they ended up accepting her and her style. Which was cool!

Book Description:

Fake kisses shouldn’t taste so sweet.

When the new star quarterback at Briarwood High winds up in the hospital over Christmas break, he’s sure that’s as bad as it can get.
He’s wrong. His day is about to get so much worse. First, he’s stuck with that irritating new girl from school who’s currently dressed as a holly jolly Christmas elf as she volunteers on his floor. Then his ex shows up and asks his permission to bring her new boyfriend to his family’s Christmas party, and then…well, then he makes it all a million times worse by kissing the closest girl at hand, who just happens to be that weirdo candy striper with a penchant for Grandma cardigans and candy-cane striped tights. She also happens to be the only girl at Briarwood who doesn’t like him. He couldn’t have chosen a worse fake girlfriend if he’d tried. So the question is…if this relationship is all wrong, why does it feel so right?

Lola is a self-proclaimed freak and a military brat just waiting to graduate so she can take the first bus out of Briarwood. She’s also more than a little obsessed with all things retro. Including swing dancing. The only problem? Swing dancing requires a partner. Where on earth is she supposed to find a willing dance partner in the sea of conformist mediocrity that is her new high school? Fortunately for her, the arrogant jerk in the hospital bed needs her more than she needs him if he stands any chance of winning back his ex. So yeah, she’ll help him. For a price. But the closer they get, the more she hates the idea of handing him over to his perfect ex, and the more she has to wonder. Will she be the one paying the price…with a broken heart?

Book Review:

Yup, I liked this book it was cute and interesting. I am just going to add well no; I am just going to rate this book a 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star.

•••• There’s a possibility of spoilers in my review•••****

So let me get into why I rate it a 4 star instead of a 5 star. I am going to say because it was 100% great; but a good book. I did like Juliette and Conner story I thought they both were made for one another. Not only that they completed each other; even though they were complete opposites.

Opposites do attract, and I do believe with this series there were plenty of those. They both made each other happy, even Conner sister Gina was delighted that he had Juliette in his life. Without her, I believe that Conner would’ve still held on to his fears especially with getting close to others. Thinking that his mother will move to another state in the USA. & not only that his father had an effect on his worries about people up and leaving him. There’s a lot of understanding when it comes to both Jules and Conner situations.

Book Description:

What can Briarwood’s resident bad boy teach little miss perfect? A lot, actually, since he’s her hot new tutor.

Beloved by her classmates at Briarwood High and newly minted captain of the girls’ basketball team, Juliette’s life is perfect. Except for the fact that she’s one bad grade away from failing. A tutor might help, but that would mean exposing her deep dark secret–she’s not perfect. Far from it. But if word gets out, her team will lose their fearless leader and she’ll lose her stainless reputation. Luckily there’s one name on the list of tutors who has nothing to do with her friends…or anyone else in the school, for that matter. Connor may not have friends, but it turns out there’s a lot he can teach her. And not all of it is on her syllabus. Like how amazing a first kiss can be and how hard and fast two people can fall in love, even when they both know that this secret relationship is all sorts of wrong.

The Briarwood High novels are completely standalone romances that can be read in any order.

Misadventures with a Manny (Misadventures #14) by Toni Aleo

My current; this book is actually good. I almost finish this book. Way better than the speed demon book; I definitely didn’t like. I can’t wait until her kids, accept Lincoln for their stepdad & mom boyfriend “maybe future husband”

Book Review:

*••••There most likely going to be a few or maybe a couple of spoilers in my review•••

So I have been waiting for this book to come out, and once it did, I couldn’t wait to read it. I may say I was not disappointed at all in this book. The author did an excellent job with this one. It kept my attention from beginning to end. I was so ready for Vera to get her some Lincoln. Her husband was a scum bag and wanted to see her fail but a gotten fool. I was also glad that Kiara or whatever her name was gotten rid of him too. He even cheated on her, once a cheater.. he cheated on her seven times.

This reminds me of my mom dust bunny ex-boyfriend who cheated on her 6 to 7 times and she kept taking him back unlike My mom Vera was married to the scum bag, Simon. I was glad that her sister hired Lincoln if it wasn’t for him the kids especially Charlie would still misbehave because of what their dad had done. Not only that Vera would’ve still been sad about what he did to his family.

Simon was straight trash … I wish she could’ve gotten full custody of the kids. But I glad In the end she got well admitted she wanted Lincoln because she was making me mad when she acted like she didn’t want him. When she did. She gave Lincoln a family; as well as Lincoln has her family. Both well more so she gave Lincoln a kid, I know he would be an amazing father as well as her as a mom. Though what cracks me up is that EVERYONE assumes he might be gay just because he didn’t have any GIRLFRIEND and he was a manny with an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION degree. It’s crazy how as a male people think otherwise.

The money is great and the perks are a blast, but when his family of six years moves to Germany and their plans to bring him along fall through, Lincoln is suddenly unemployed and aware of how much of himself he’s given to other people’s families.

Brought together by circumstances, Lincoln and Vera’s mutually beneficial business arrangement becomes complicated by the undeniable chemistry they share. Vera needs a manny and Lincoln needs a job, but they both may have found the very thing neither one had realized they needed―a whole lot more.

Book Review:

***•• There’s a few spoilers throughout this review**•••

So, Brooks name is ridiculous but funny he has two first names. But I thought it would’ve been better if his name was “Carter Brooks” instead of Brooks Carter … it’s just weird!!
Brooks and Faith they fell for each other quickly, I also knew they were going to have sexy time when they had tequila…. her brother Roscoe is mad annoying!

I was glad in the end that they finally told her father about them being together. Though, Roscoe caught them kissing, at least he didn’t snitch and told their father.

Also, the end I was glad that Brooks got a family in Faith and his family of his own. This review is short because I didn’t like this book that much; that’s why it took me forever to finish even though it was only 16 chapters plus the epilogue…

I also forgot to add that his mom wasn’t sh*t especially when she tried to spread those lies. & not only that found out that he was racing; thinking she was going to get some $$$ out of him. She got fool, that’s why she ran to the press. I was glad she gotten locked up for burning down his trailer, that was so uncalled for but glad he was with Faith at her house. Not only that I knew that Faith was going to end up pregnant that was one thing I was glad of, and also He (Brooks & Roscoe) became cool & friends.

Book Description:

Brooks Carter is wild, reckless, and the youngest stock car driver on the professional circuit. He’s the one everyone’s gunning for when they’re not hoping for his failure at every turn. But Brooks is too hot to be left in the dust by anyone. Even with masses of female fans, Brooks only has eyes for one woman—Faith Ridley. Unfortunately, she’s the little sister of his biggest rival, who also happens to be the most notorious hothead on the track.
Faith has spent her life around hotshots like Brooks—gorgeous, cocky, and racing from one hookup to the next. It doesn’t matter that Brooks has had her in his crosshairs for months. She knows better. Until one lapse in judgment turns into more…
As passions rev up and tempers flare, Faith gets caught in the crossfire. But Brooks has come too far to back down without a fight. Can he win Faith’s heart while earning the respect of his enemy? Or will the rivals’ macho bravado force Faith to walk away from them both?

Buckle up. It’s going to be a wicked ride…
