Don’t Trash the Heartthrob (Rockford High Book 5) by Victorine E. Lieske

This book is really good 📖…

Book Review:

You can trust the heartthrob.

Spoilers… maybe•••

Oh… it sucks that this is the last book to the Rockford series. I, for sure, was hoping for a book with Jade and Chris. But oh well!!!

With that being said…. when I was reading the story with Amanda and Cody… and the ending where Stephanie found out it was Brandon Travers she was bashing online was priceless. I was so ready for this book to come, and when I finally got an email about this book is out, I was so ready to read it. I even push a few books back that I was planning to read. I was like I have to read this IDC! IDC!

I glad I did because I wasn’t even disappointed at all with this book. That’s how good it was.. the only thing I want to say was Stephanie was so quick to believe that rumor that Alisha had put out was ridiculous. I could tell that she was blinded by what Kyle did to her that she didn’t see the truth. I mean, you could tell how Alisha was when she had called Brandon that day they all went out to eat! But in the end, I was glad when Stephanie and everybody else learned the truth behind that video, and Stephanie forgave Brandon; she finally got her kiss and vise versa. & not only that, they ended up dating each other!!!!

Oh, besides that, Brandon was a fool anyways to get into that car with the guy Tony which lead him to be in an accident and almost losing his arm. Though Tony got the worse of it, he probably ends up in jail since Tony was the one who gave Brandon the pills and was going over the driving limit and running from the cops, which lead to the car flipping couple times. At least, in the end, Brandon learned his lesson…

Book Description:

He was a movie star. She was a nobody. Until their worlds collided.

Stephanie couldn’t believe it when the handsome and famous actor, Brandon Travers, responded to her Vlog. Maybe it hadn’t been the best idea to publicly state how poorly he played Xander in the latest movie craze, The Paper Pirate. Now Brandon wanted a public apology, one that Stephanie wasn’t about to make.

Brandon’s life was out of control. Every second of his life was dictated by other people. He had to play so many parts, he’d forgotten what living his own life was like. His only escape from all of the pressure was something that could end up destroying him. And he couldn’t stop.

The only thing he looked forward to was talking to Stephanie. He needed her help or he was going to end up imploding.

After His Banana by Penelope Bloom

Interesting to read about the kids to the Objects of Attraction series by @bloompenelope. I can say at least Miles doesn’t have a stick up his *** like his dad 🥊🍌🤣📖…. I can’t wait to read the next stories about the other kids…

Book Review:

It was good!!

***Spoilers in this review maybe***

So okay, I didn’t know that the author was even written a book about the kids to the Chamberson brothers. I can’t wait to read the story about Bruce’s daughter and William kids and even the others that were from the Objects of Attraction series… I also hope that Luna gets her own story too.

You could tell that Miles was more like his uncle William than his dad Bruce. I think he had both of there personality too. I also think Ares has Bruce ways 🤣 I’m trying to think if Ares, Harper, and Kingston is Harper’s family (William) wife siblings or Miles cousins; because I am not sure if there was an error or what in that section when Miles was talking with Bruce…

But at least both Miles and Rey figured out what they wanted. Also, I thought that it wasn’t any use for either of them to get mad at each other because they both lied to each other. But the story was good!!!!

Book Description:

What comes after His Banana?
Technically, that would be me.
Before you assume I’m a potassium sucking harlot,
Let me explain…

I didn’t have time for relationships, especially not with someone like Miles Chamberson. But considering my circumstances, I didn’t really have a choice.

Yes, he was the kind of offspring only generations of exceptionally attractive people could create. Practically dripping with so much perfection you could choke on it.

Then again, I was almost certain he was certifiably insane.

Within a few minutes of meeting him, he was already posing as a nude model for my clay sculpture class in a failed attempt to expose himself to me.

So when he handed me a banana, it was almost normal by comparison.

And after his banana found its way into my mouth, well… I wish I could say that was where the saga of Miles Chamberson and I ended.

Miles

I prefer to start every potential relationship with an oddly phallic, edible object.

Why, you ask? It’s simple.

Watch any woman with a suggestive object and prepare to unlock the secrets of the female psyche.

Does she favor it with a secretive little smile? Nymphomaniac. Does she flinch back, only to guiltily grab it a moment later? Cautious, but wild once she opens up. Does she throw it back at your head and score a direct hit, concussing you for two weeks? Softball player.

Or, does she pick it up and devour it, inch by inch? Does she slide that bad boy into the hatch and relish every moment of it? If she does, you have yourself a keeper.

The recipient of my latest banana was the latter, but there was one glaring problem.

Commitment and I had a troubled past. And now my old man, Bruce Chamberson, says there’s only one way I’ll earn my rightful spot in the family business. I’ve got to show him I can stick with something “for once”.

Lucky for me, I’ve got just the girl in mind.

Skating on Thin Ice (The Men of Warhawks #1) by Jacquie Biggar

Currently reading “Skating on Thin Ice”… this book is actually good. I know I will finish this book today. I like a book that can hold my attention. Hopefully, book 2, will be the same when it comes out this month… but I am so curious about who this person trying to kill Mac and possibly Sam too since she with him… does the coach has something to do with this… these snipers are no joke…

Book Review:

It was a good read

***Spoilers… splash here & there**

That’s crazy that the whole time it wasn’t just Mac coach Harris but Sam Uncle Thomas too behind everything that happened in Mac’s life, what they both were planning probably too off both Mac and Sam. That’s why Thomas wanted to go up there to the cabin, plus Harris agreeing to go too. He especially hated Mac and vise versa. He said all along he wanted to harm or didn’t like Mac. Thomas (Sam) uncle even stated he’ll kill Mac. If that wasn’t a clue, I don’t know what is…

Not only that, they had snipers out there trying to kill Mac… heck they already killed his wife and his unborn child (his daughter)…. he had to care about Sam not to let the judge stick it to her family…

Book Description:

Sam Walters has made a deal with the devil.

In order to win a much-needed contract as physical therapist to one of the NHL’s leading hockey teams, Sam must delay the recovery of their sniper, Mac Wanowski. The trouble is, the more she gets to know the taciturn hockey player, the more she aches to help him.

Mac ‘The Hammer’ Wanowski chased the Stanley Cup dream for too many years. Last time he was close it had cost him his wife. As injuries continue to plague the team, Mac works to catch a killer and keep the woman he’s come to love from the hands of a madman.

Hockey can be a dangerous sport, especially when millions of dollars are at stake.

Misadventures in the Cage (Misadventures) by Sarah Robinson

So far it’s actually good…

Book Review:

**Spoilers? There’s a possibility that it will be a lot!!!

I can say I liked this one way better than the Firefighter one. I finish this one fast. I can say like one-two days.

With that being said, I would like to point out that I understood both Callan and Josie’s parts on the breakup. But I was not too fond of the fact that Josie thought it was okay for her to up and leave Callan on the day of the fight between her brother (Xavier) and Callan. But when he does it (well technically; he didn’t want to break up only wanted to do long distance even though he didn’t want to). It was her pushing him (Callan) away again. Like this was so typical for her when it came to him. She blamed him the second time around, forgetting Michelle pregnant. Like it was ridiculous because, for one, she left him when he didn’t want her too. & plus Josie knew that Michelle and Callan weren’t in a serious relationship. It was only, but there careers.

Plus, you could tell Callan didn’t want no Michelle. She wasn’t right for him. Especially how she reacted to certain things. Though she wanted something more with him. I was glad when Josie came to her senses and realized when she got that offer for a television show in California that she made mistakes. With running away from her feelings and not telling Callan how she felt about him. When the whole time, he proves to her how he felt about her. Even when he had to stay in California when he learned about Michelle being pregnant by him, you could tell that he got her pregnant during the time both he and Michelle was drunk. A lot of times, that happens to people (in real life I know to people in my family that happened to 🤣).

But like I was saying, I was glad she came to her senses and went to work things out with Callan when she moved to California. Because she knew she still had a feeling for him and vise versa. Plus, it was good that she accepted his daughter Alice by the model Michele. Not only that, she (Josie) ended up pregnant in the end with Callan, son. That was also good for them both, plus getting married. Though she asked him; not only that her (Josie) and Michelle worked things out with each other for the sake of Alice…

Btw: But I still can’t get over the fact that they bonded over burying a sex doll in the desert.🤣

P.S. Though, I was wondering what her race was being the author was saying something down the line like “creamy brown skin”, “dark brown skin.” I’m like he’s (Callan) is Irish, what in the world is Josie?… I was okay. She not black, but maybe she’s a Kim Kardarisan skin color, I reckon, I mean someone who’s not white are those who have brown or dark skin.. unless you, get yourself a tan...

Dating the Quarterback (The Bet Duet #2) by Maggie Dallen

Currently reading book 2,…

Book Review:

Spoilers? Yes? Maybe? Who knows it a possibility of it!!!

I will say this when you were reading book 1… I was soooo ready to read book 2.. but after I started reading book 2. I was like, ehhh… it’s okay… I can say this book 1 was good and better, in my opinion.

I can’t pinpoint what I feel about Harley because she was kind of a complainer, annoying, a little whinny. I mean Both Tristan and Conner told her something that she needed to hear. Since I thought she was better. No the more popular people were somewhat better or had a life better.

Which she didn’t realize since Tristan was going through something even though he was popular. Even Rosalie, Harley realize Tristan liked her after he didn’t want anything to do with her.. once he stops coming around. I said to myself it took her long enough to stop being whiny and complaining about what some person who didn’t deserve her at her old school done to her.

I think if she was at her old school, yeah, she definitely should’ve been more cautious of what someone wanted from her. But you could tell Tristan cared about her since everything that he did for her that showed her he wanted and cared about her.

In the end, I was glad they made, and she figured out what she wanted. Not only her Tristan realize that he could also have love and live his life. Without having so much on his shoulders.

Book Description:

Harley lost the bet and now it’s time to pay up. This loner will have to face her greatest fear…and say yes to a date with the quarterback.

After years of being bullied and ignored at her old school, Harley isn’t about to make waves at Talmore High. She knows better than to mess with the cocky jerks on the football team. When the lead alpha starts to single her out she’s sure that it’s just a joke at her expense. There’s no way he could really be interested in a geeky art nerd like her. After all, Tristan isn’t just a quarterback, he’s larger than life. He’s the school’s most revered athlete, the guy all the girls drool over. He might as well be a superhero in disguise. An ancient god come back to live among mere mortals…

The guy was basically Thor.

But the more she gets to know him, the more she has to wonder just how wrong she’s been about the guy she’d thought was an untouchable god among men. Maybe he wasn’t what she’d thought at all. Wonders of wonders, the handsome hottie quarterback might just be…nice. And somehow that’s the scariest thought of all. A jerk she could handle. But a good guy? He might just be the one to break her heart.

Author’s Note: This is the second part of a duet. While this romance is standalone, it’s filled with spoilers for book one.

Charming the Cheerleader (The Bet Duet #1) by Maggie Dallen

I’m on the last chapter of “charming the cheerleader” by @mag_dallen … but I’m more than ready to read the second book! Because I wanted to read the 2nd one more lol… this one was good though!

Book Review:

**Spoilers?…. not so much!!!
Okay, so this book was good. More so wanted to read this book. But wanted to read book two more. With his (Conner) stepsister Harley…

With that being said. I wasn’t disappointed when I was reading this book. I already knew it was going to be good. & also thought it took the right person to understand Rosalie and why she seems like the ice queen. Being say makes people think your something you not. Plus her ex Danny was horrible anyways for spreading rumors about her being an ice queen etc…

At least Conner got to know her and understood that she had felt like everyone else. But I think he comes into that school was hilarious because you look at it he didn’t care what people thought of him even when he wanted to become popular again and be known with the ladies etc…

But I liked how he came to realize that is what he used to be in his old school wasn’t all that it was. Plus, both he and Rosalie help each other out. I also agreed with his stepsister about how he could become a chef and go into culinary arts… especially since he enjoyed cooking and not only that music.

Also, I was glad he didn’t let that bet (challenge) on for too long, and Rosalie accepted her feelings for him and understood that Conner cared for and understood her unlike Danny ever did…

50276894. sy475

Book Description:

Will the new guy in school be the one to win the bet and thaw the ice queen? Maybe. But only if he doesn’t fall for her first.

Conner and his stepsister are new to town, new to Talmore High, and very new to this whole step-sibling situation. As of three weeks ago they were only children…and now? Well, now their parents’ newly wedded bliss is wreaking havoc with both of their lives.

Not that Conner is worried. He might be the new kid but he’s never had a problem being the big man on campus. Until now. No one at this school seems to have gotten the memo that he’s beloved. The girls aren’t swooning and the guys are looking for any excuse to kick his butt back to California. When his stepsister throws out the challenge, it’s a no brainer. If he can make head cheerleader Rosalie “The Ice Queen” Farlow fall at this feet, he’ll have it all.

But then again, if he wins the bet…he’ll lose her. And what’s the use of having it all if he loses the only thing that matters?

Author’s Note: Though this is the first book of a duet, the romance is standalone and features a satisfying, swoonworthy HEA. The timelines of these two books intersect, however, so be sure to read book one first to avoid any spoilers!

One Little Word (One More Thing #1) by F.N. Manning

This book pretty book. Not sure if I’m going to read the other 5 books to this series or not!!!! I’m still thinking this kid Luke was gay on the DL anyway. But reading this makes me wanna read book 2 though!!!

Book Review:

One word can change everything.

**There Spoilers but•• not many just a few••^*

Am I going to read the other books to this series? I don’t know… I don’t think I will. Though this… even though the book was had my attention from being to end.

I think Luke could’ve been bisexual but didn’t know it until he had to pretend to FAKE date, Ryan… I mean, he didn’t say much when he and his baseball friends were joking around about “he and Zach” being gay… after learning that Zach was gay himself. It’s interesting to learn why he didn’t say anything to the other guys when they said that he was…

Maybe Zach knew deep down his best friend Luke was more likely bisexual too. & Luke didn’t realize until he got to be around Ryan. Plus; Luke kept going for Lydia but deep down she didn’t like him back nor was she attracted to guys… later on in the book she mentioned something about “her may not be attracted to them” and Luke learning that he had feelings for Ryan after the fact that he learned that Zach was gay **bisexual** himself. & asked Ryan to sit with them at lunch…

Everyone saw how jealous Luke was when it came to Ryan. The only one who didn’t see it was Luke. Until it was too late… after they (He & Ryan) fake broken up. Though both their feelings for each other were real. More than Luke realize… though Ryan knew he had feelings that ran deep.

Those football players and some of the baseball players (more so Mate or whatever that baseball player) name was on Luke’s team. Hated guys, people. The way they talked to them, especially Ryan, was horrible. You also learn who liked you once they learn you are “gay” or “bisexual”…..

Plus, I didn’t see how Luke couldn’t see Lydia had a thing for Alicia.. since they kissed that once time… when they helped Ryan out… but in the end, at least he learned his real main friends were gay. Except for Joey? Whatever his name was, lol!

Book Description:

What happens when the most popular guy in school must depend on a social pariah to save his skin?

Luke Chambers is about to find out. When one stupid word heard by the wrong ears sends the captain of the baseball team’s life into chaos, his plan to get out of trouble involves the one kid who seems to hate him.

Ryan just wants to have some fun at the jock’s expense. He won’t be stupid enough to fall for the gorgeous blonde with green eyes, dimples and impressive arm muscles from pitching. Okay, he might like to look, but it’s difficult being the only gay kid in a small town.

Relationships are never easy, especially when both people want different things. Ryan wants a boyfriend who wants him back. Luke wants things to start making sense again. But what if they both wanted the same thing? What if they want each other?

Could one terrible word lead to something great?

One Little Word is an LGBT teen fiction book for anybody who loves fun romantic comedies, fake boyfriends and silly situations, enemies becoming friends and opposites who attract. This gay romance novel also includes a ridiculous amount of hand-holding. This is the first book in a series, though this novel can stand alone.

Rock Bottom: (A Dawson Family Novel) by Emily Goodwin

ARC.. copy of “Rock Bottom” by @authoremilygoodwin … I’ve been dying to read Dean’s story. Lord knows I couldn’t stand Kara bitter self!

Book Review:

Plenty of spoilers will more likely be in this review.

This book was given to me as an ARC; for an honest review. Not only that, it comes out tomorrow (hence; Feb 17th)!!!!!!!

So okay! I couldn’t wait to read this book. And learn who Dean will end up with even though Rory’s name was mentioned in the description. Lord knows I couldn’t stand Kara… & me and probably all of Emily Goodwin fans… 🤣🤣🤣…

When I first started this book, I was like yup that heifer done cheated on Dean before he even got to his house I knew. Ugh! Couldn’t stand her more after that, especially when she popped up randomly at his new house. Thinking she was getting him back and had the nerve to ruin things for Dean, I was glad that he went and got his woman back and ran Kara *** up out of his house while he was at it… the nerve of her try to put that pregnancy on him. In my head, I was girl you know that baby ain’t his… y’all been broken up. I was glad he told her that too.

Because in the end, Elory? I think it is her real name was the one for him… she got along with everyone in his family.. especially his sister, unlike Kara bitter self… plus both their (Dean and Rory) families were similar to each other… even had the group chat thing going on lol!!!! I was just glad that Dean stops playing games with Rory and turning away from his feeling for her, too… it took for crap pot “Kara” to pop up to tell him she wants him back. For him to realize his true feelings and admit them FINALLY … to Rory, at least he got what he wanted, in the end, a family. Which he couldn’t get with the trash ex-wife of his… I’m js…

Oh btw;::::::: ugh I saw that Robby popped up in this book. I still wish that he had his own book and find love too. I am glad to learn that he getting himself together and getting along and being with his family again… plus maybe Hillary might be the one for him 🤣 idk!! I just want a book with him, but there’s no other Dawson!! Bleh oh well!!!

Misadventures with a Firefighter (Misadventures) by Julie Morgan

Finally got around to reading this book. The being was kind of dual. But afterward, it turns out pretty good!!! I still plan to get the actual paperback book!!!

Book Review:

***Spoilers…Not that many but a few***

Okay. At the beginning of this book, it was ehhhh — kind of dry. After I kept reading, I wanted to know what else happens. Still, I was stuck in between what I felt for this book. This is why I gave it a four-star instead of a five like I do, mostly my books. With that being said…
I already knew that Erin was going to snitch when Noah kept coming to the school even when he volunteered in the class with Cara and his son… I mean, you look at it. They gave themselves away with how they were touching and making side-eyes. But they never touch when the kids were around… as Erin made it seem. But in the end; she was just jealous of Cara and what she had… her true colors came about when Cara started dating one of her students (Marshall) dad (Noah)… she wanted Cara position, but she didn’t even get it…. she did what she thought Cara did to get the job that she had (**cough*** come on the principal)… what she (Erin) got was a kick out the door for doing what she thought Cara did. Karma got her good because she knew she was wrong for spreading lies…

I also thought it was crazy to have those rules of a teacher can’t date students’ parents. When in reality, Cara and Noah were talking way before he/she found out that she (Cara) was his (Marshall) teacher, and he was his father (Noah). In the end, I was glad that Cara got her job back, and she came to her senses about how she wanted to be with Noah regardless of what happened with her job!!!!!
