Just For A While by Zøe Haslie

When I first started this book, it kind of started off blah. But as I kept reading it, it caught my attention more. I was glad I kept reading. “Just For a While”

Book Review:

Hmm, pretty good!!!

••Spoilers, not that many, but a few•••

So when I first started this book, it was dulled in the beginning. But as I kept reading, it got good. I was stuck between good and ehh when it came to this book.

Was I disappointed in this book? No, because it kept my attention. No one annoyed me in this book lol. I only thought that Charlie could’ve given her father a chance in the beginning. But she was holding a grudge without even asking him his side. So many kids would love that. But at least, in the end, they ended up talking, and she forgave him & wasn’t so mad anymore about what her mom told her about her father.

Plus; Misha was mean to Charlie, I was glad he was man enough to have a talk with her about why he did what he did. Because I felt that he shouldn’t have got mad at Charlotte because she kept Olivia being pregnant from him. When she was only looking out for Olivia, I glad when he understood that and went back to get his girl because he knew that Charlotte the one for him not only that I hope that Olivia and Misha’s mom comes around and become a better mother. Because that lady is horrible, especially when it came to her husband vs. her son smh 🤦🏽‍♀️… the way I saw it Daniel was the mother thought he was a father figure to them because their father died and he once dated their mother.

Besides that, I FREAKING love ❤️ Misha’s name..😩

“Just For A While” is Zøe Haslie’s debut novel, a tale of love, friendship, struggling family relationships and, above all, forgiveness.

The Goodbye Boyfriend: A Friends To Lovers Romance (Boyfriend #3) by Christina Benjamin

This is book 3 to the “boyfriend” series & I can say that so far this one is by far the best one. Out of the other two. Though I liked book one. But Nate got me gone in this book he is hilarious 😆🤣👌 I’m loving it!… especially when he disses the three Ashley’s for Cami… 👏🏽🙌🏽. & I can’t wait until he learns what Cami secret (I was about to give a spoiler here but stopped)… I can’t for him to learn her secret because I know he’s going to think she’s beautiful regardless. Though she thinks he’s going to run when he sees her without hair (wig) etc.

Book Review:

This book made me sad and happy I even laugh a couple of times.

••Spoilers,? It depends on my thoughts!!•••

I think that this book was the funniest and the saddest. Because for one, Cami knew that she was going to die. Even Nathan knew she was going to die in the end. That what made everything sad.

But what I liked was how Cami met him in her last year of high school. He made her feel a lot of things that I was glad of because I felt like she shouldn’t want to kill herself because she didn’t want to live with cancer anymore.

The sad thing was she died from a heart attack. I knew when I read the end of that section in that chapter when Nate left her house to pick up his mom that she was going to die in her sleep. I felt it because of the way her heart was doing; the good thing is, at least she died happy and not sad. The sad thing is Nathan lost his true love.

But I think he’s going to find love again as I said that he was reading Cami letters. I was glad she told him to continue to live, be happy, and find love again. Towards the end well at the end. He met Zoe, and I hope that who he finds it in since she likes that same candy that Cami likes. I felt that Cami brought Zoe into Nathan’s life.

What I felt would’ve been nice was Nathan would’ve gotten a story with Zoe. At least.

Book Review:

***Spoilers just a little bit***

So I liked this book, the same as I did the first one.

Also, I felt like Hannah was kind of harsh towards her brother Liam. For him being around Ava, and her not wanting Ava too be with him. I was glad he talked some sense into her because she would’ve ended up hurting both Ava and her brother Liam.

When I was reading this book and learning that Hope was adopted, I felt like Darren and Dianca could’ve adopted Ava. & turn out that is what happened In the end. When Ava adopted father put her out all because Liam brought her home and she was seeing him. He wasn’t complaining when Ava was bringing them eggs, taking care of the kids, though. But I was also glad that the other children got adopted too, especially with what Liam saw in that window.

Not only that, but it was also a good thing; that Liam and Ava worked things out with each other and started dating.
Besides that, I can’t wait to read Max and Angel’s story because I can’t wait for how Angel tames the playboy, Max.

The Almost Boyfriend (Boyfriend #2) by Christina Benjamin

I started this book on a Wednesday forgot which Wednesday could’ve been last week or week before. 🤣… This book started off boring, but when I went back to finish it.. it got good I’m glad. Though; I am not into Ireland (Irish) talk! Ha. But still good. Though 📖👌… just hope this rest, not like this one since the first book wasn’t!

Book Review:

Enemies to lovers

••Spoilers? Maybe a lot, maybe a few, I’ll see once I finish this review.•

Okay, before starting on this book and what I felt about it. I want to say that I cannot stand the word “Grand” I know I ended up with a headache because Devon, kept saying it ALOT in the book. I wasn’t too much into the Ireland language (talk). I hope that the other books to this series don’t have Ireland speaking because that “Grand” pluck my last nerve.

So anyway, besides that, I thought the book was good. But I will say this, when I first started this book, it was boring, so I went to two other books than went back to this book when I went back and read this one. It turned out REALLY good. Though I thought Sam was kind of b*t*hy towards Devon in some ways. Even though he showed her in so many ways that he cared.

Even though he was mean to her when his father died, I still didn’t think she should’ve gone to that pub. & the bad thing about it Zander wasn’t a bad person as Devon thought. It was just jealousy; I was glad that they worked it out with each other. Also, he worked it out with his stepmom, too, which was good too. Since he thought she was ONLY using his father. Which she wasn’t. She cared about his father. Not only that, she actually cared and worried about Devon too. But it took Zander to show him during the time at the pub when Sam got drugged by Sophie.

Who was I thought was trash and jealous of Sam for no reason. Sam wasn’t even thinking about her. Sophie was just jealous because Sam had Devon’s heart. Nobody told Sophie yo dumped Devon when he was off the team. When Sam comes around and Sophie learns that Devon was getting his father company she wanted him back. Then turn around and dumped Zander too. Who ends up with the company; in the end, she didn’t win nothing whereas everybody else did (Zander, Sam & Devon). I do hope that Zander does end up with Meghan. That would be awesome.

Risking It by Madeleine Labitan

My current read.. tried to add it to my currently reading section on Goodreads. But Kindle is acting up smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ second time that app messed up!

Book Review:

Spoilers? Not many… nah, it’s a lot …

I forgot who Allie was for like 2.5 seconds when I started this book. Because I had read the first book with her best friend (Indie & her brother Grayson). Then I was like ooooh okay that’s who Allie is… 🤔🤣

So anyway. I was glad this book didn’t drag their story. I was glad it was short and straightforward. That’s what I like; for one, I knew that Duane was going to fall for Allison. Soon as he started dating her, realizing she was different than Heather.

Heather got a fool too when she realizes that Duane wasn’t coming back to her. Since she was complaining about his clingy-ness and that was the reason for their break up. HA…

He wasn’t even thinking about her, only showing her that he was happy with the new girl (Allison) that he moved on with. Heather was so bitter too staring hard at Allison across the cafeteria and stuff. I felt like she tried to intimidate Allison in a lot of ways. & it affected Allie too, and she had insecurities that she had to work on. What made it worse was Duane’s sister stating that Heather was prettier than on top of that Allie seeing Heather kiss Duane in the parking lot. But I was glad that was all cleared out, and Allie forgave Duane.

Not only that, how I figure out that Duane didn’t care about Heather any more was when Allie mentioned Justin & when Justin was talking to Allie at the Ice Cream shop, which leads Duane to turn into Incredible Hulk and become jealous. Steam was coming out of his ears. He wanted to make sure JUSTIN knew that Allison was his girlfriend.. 😂 he wasn’t playing at all. I was here for it too since. They both confessed that they were in love with each other since their first kiss at age nine and ten. I was like FINALLY! But at least Grayson was happy for them both since he wasn’t into their FAKE relationship though I felt Allie was right when she said about Gray couldn’t get mad since he was dating her best friend…

I was glad Gray came around and understood. & he accepted their relationship since Duane confessed his feelings for Allie to her brother, his best friend (Gray). Which I thought was a good idea. Since Indie and Gray kept things from Allie when they were FAKE dating, but at least in this book, no one found out that Allie and Duane were fake dating.?

Book Description:

He’s the one guy she’s always wanted…

Well, it’s time for a change—and agreeing to be Duane Hollis’s fake girlfriend to make his ex jealous seems like a good start as any. There’s just one problem: he’s her brother’s best friend and the boy she’s secretly in love with. Complicated doesn’t even begin to describe the situation.

Allison knows it’s totally insane and completely stupid to help Duane out, especially when her heart is at stake. But maybe, just maybe, it’s exactly what she needs to turn things around…and finally get the guy.

Dare You to Date the Point Guard (Rock Valley High Book 2) by Lacy Andersen

I started the second book to the “Rock Valley High” series. So far so good! Kind of forgot to post my current read…. 👀📖 ..

Book Review:

Point Guard ❤️ Artist 🎨

Spoilers.. splash throughout this book.

Omg! Like OMG! Not because the book is good. Even though it was good, but I am saying OMG because I finally finished it.

That Trina girl got on my last nerves. Like man, she was so annoying, kept pushing Mason away towards Polly. When both Mason and Polly told her (Trina) that they weren’t good for each other. Even Polly told Trina that she thought that Mason and she (Trina) was dating. But Trina was so much stuck on her stupid plan 🙄 that she couldn’t see past her plan and her parent’s expectations of her. Like geez, girl gets a clue.

She couldn’t see past her own feelings for Mason. Even he show her how he felt with his confession about wanting to be with her. Not only that but with the kiss. Even mean Savannah even knew how Trina felt about Mason. She even told Trina (she loved Mason) it took Mandy to tell her the hard truth about her feelings for Mason for her to understand. During the day before her presentation smh 🤦🏽‍♀️.. Gosh this girl was annoying me because I was like girl if you don’t stop running……. 🏃‍♀️ from Mason… & he chase her 🏃 few times. The only time she felt some way was when he ignored her & when he was laughing and talking to Polly.

Oh, she was hurt and still delusional about Mason dating Polly when they weren’t dating at all. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ then after the win against that Silver Valley school. Trina still ran from Mason, and he had to chase her again. I was so annoyed that is when I was over the book, chapter twenty-five had me irritated because she kept denying his feeling and her own feelings. Until after the fact. She realizes she shouldn’t be a freaking idiot and kissed him and ran off until the sunset ugh!!

Besides that LORD I hope Mandy don’t be this annoying in her book with whatever guy she is going to catch feelings for…. the guy is “Jayden Paul”…

The brooding, obviously heartbroken, and ridiculously talented point guard of the Rock Valley High basketball team.

And better yet – thanks to my parents and their plan, we’re stuck in the same class together.

But I’ve got one mission for the rest of senior year that will make everyone happy: ace this class and convince Mason to be the guinea pig for Project Happiness. He’ll win his ex back and I’ll get to go to art camp this summer.

Should be easy!

But Mason has a way of getting under my skin.

And the smoldering way he looks at me makes me want to ditch the plan.

If I can’t pull myself together, I might just ruin everything.

Brutal Prince by Logan Fox

My next read. I know I am reading these books fast… I’m kind of glad. My current read is “Brutal Prince”… I kind of think Prince is annoying!!! I’m trying to figure out if he is RAPIST or NOT! I’ll know soon enough hopefully! Or if he’s just a mean douchebag…

Book Review:

He wasn’t that brutal, his best friend, hmm?

**Spoilers*** few here and there**

Okay, one I like to state is that dang I feel bad for Addy. She didn’t have to die at the hands of Marcus. He rapped and what it looked like he strangled her or choked her with a belt—poor girl. Bad enough, he killed Jessica too and raped her. Addison’s best friend and Briar girlfriend at the time.

What was messed up about Jessica was Briar and everybody, including his dad, thinking that he (Briar) was a rapist? But as I was reading this book. I was like Briar can’t be a rapist, for some reason I kept thinking that. But also mentioned how Marcus = Murder. Briar = rapist. But what I thought in my mind. & what came true in this book was everything lead to Marcus. He was the rapist and murder. It was something that had me like, “I think Marcus was the one who killed Indi’s mom and raped/murder Jessica. Especially with Indi’s mom… when they couldn’t find any fingerprints, I was like YEAH that had to be Marcus…

I now remember what had me thinking it was him when he mentioned to Briar. That Indi looked familiar. A lot of things, Briar never took notice. But his dad took note of a lot of stuff that Briar didn’t. Heck, not even Indi or Addy, knew that something was up with Marcus. I felt something was wrong with Marcus.

It took for Briar’s dad to talk to him at Angels Fall, where I think 🤔 Jessica was killed at or something can’t remember. But his dad was the one to show Briar that looks son; your best friend is the devil and a bad seed. Then learning about him killing/ no learning that Marcus was the one that rapped Jessica then plan to do the same to Indi. I know it had hurt him and then had to be there with Indi and find a way to get Marcus from Indi. No Indi from Marcus. & getting rid of that gun. I was glad in the end that they ended Marcus and his (Marcus) dad Brandon got what he deserved too for all that he and his son put everybody through. Not only that, learning that Brandon had something to do with Natalie (both; Briar & Marcus) mom. Oh, that also a bad one, Briar, learning that Marcus was his brother. I had to wonder who is the oldest were they, twins. I can’t remember their ages. But I think they were in the same grade or one was behind each other since they all were in a class with one another.

But in the end, every TRUTH came out, which was a good thing. Especially with what happened with Jessica, Indi (mom), not only them but Addy too. Poor, girl I wish she would’ve left with her family. But she wanted to stay like a fool that she was smh!

Besides that, I didn’t want Marcus to die. I wanted him to rot and see what will happen to him in jail for what he did to those women/teens… but at least Briar got his wish. He murder (well Indie) killed Marcus, and the police didn’t have to get him (Marcus). Because both he and Indie did. I was glad because that boy was sick.

The Quarterback and the Ballerina (The Ballerina Academy, #1) by Anne-Marie Meyer, Maggie Dallen

This book is really good. I would’ve finished this book (a.m -morning)… but had to make myself go to sleep. 😂🤣..

Book Review:

Really good book. I can tell this series will be that of football players and ballerinas.

Spoilers… splash throughout.

This book was good. It didn’t take me long to finish. One thing I’m trying to figure out what to say about this book lol—somehow, I can’t think of anything for some reason. Though, I am always writing a review for my blog!

But anyway, I would like to point out that Collette was kind of whiny and complain a lot about everything, especially when it came to her dancing. Everybody saw how great she was except herself. I was kind of glad Bianca even told her about herself. Also, when Bianca was mean at some point. You can tell that Collette dealt with body shame from everybody. And she had that stuck in her head so much she couldn’t see it until Ethan came along.

As I was reading this book, I was like, uhh. There a skinny, fat, medium, between dancers. No matter what size there are skinny and thick, big female dancers. I was glad that Collette saw that in the end. Especially her mother, who needed to see that too. Since she put that in her head and made her daughter have doubts. About her dancing, she had her thinking only skinny females care better.

Besides, I can’t wait to read Ryan and Bianca’s story. And learn about what is going on with her. I can tell she was dealing with a lot. Plus, I think she may have been sort of jealous of Collette too. Ryan is the one that is going to change Bianca I can tell… and she is the one to slow Ryan down also.

P.s. At least Ethan, stick it to his dad after what happened after his performance with Ryan band. Because his dad needed to hear what Ethan told him and show him that he didn’t want to be who his father wanted him to be. I think a lot of children growing up need to be themselves and stop trying to be what the parents want them to be. Especially if that’s not what they want. I think this book shows and proves that you can stick it to your parents. And follow your dreams. Ethan proved that to his dad because his dad needed to be knocked down a couple of inches.

Book Description:

He thought he knew what he wanted.
Turns out, all he wanted was her.

I’d kill to be the kind of dancer my mom wants me to be, but it’s just not in the cards. I’m sick of dieting. I’ll never fit into the perfect ballerina mold and I’m tired of wishing that I could.

I’m over it. I’m done trying.

I’m perfectly content to dance alone in the dark while the rest of the school is sleeping.

Coach says our football team needs discipline. That dancing alongside a bunch of prissy prima donnas is how we’ll learn our lesson.

Only problem?

I don’t have time for ballet. Not when I’m busting my butt to be the star quarterback, the dutiful son, and the perfect student…all so I can achieve my father’s dream.

When I meet Collette, I can’t help but take notice. She’s a vision of grace and beauty all wrapped up in snark and sass. And she helps me see that my own dreams aren’t so stupid after all.

I just wish she could see that in herself. But when I try to bring her out into the light, I can feel her slipping away. Her walls are built up so high, I fear they’ll never come down. I want to love her like she deserves—but that’s just the problem.

She doesn’t believe she deserves it.

The Best Man Wins: A Steamy Romantic Comedy by Adora Crooks

I wasn’t so sure about this book. When I first started it. But it’s actually good. Glad it is because I hate reading books that don’t keep my attention.

Book Review:

The Best Man Wins = love

Spoilers? Possibly yes?!

I wasn’t so sure about this book because of how it started. It started a little dry until I got a few chapters in that’s where it got good. I was glad. Because the book description caught my attention, and I wanted to read it because of the description and title.

This book was based solely on Braxton and Susie though everything revolves around Braxton’s sister Cora and her fiancée Ray.

I was glad that Susie found ways for Braxton not to ruin his sister’s wedding though she (Susie) had Mandy to worry about too. Not only that, the day before the wedding, the bride (Cora) wasn’t so sure what she wanted to do. I was glad that Susie talked some sense into her and got her to understand she did and do care for Ray and vise versa.

She also got Braxton on board with his sister getting married. He didn’t hate Ray after what Susie said at the diner to both he and Cora, which both needed to here. Though I also thought Susie’s ex-boyfriend/fiancée was horrible. He (Ace) was trying to get her back after he walks out on her. I was glad that she left him for the wolves to show him that she moved on to something better. Since he thought he could get her back but ended up looking like a fool when she got Braxton out of jail and left him.

Not only that, I was glad that Letty lady didn’t fire Susie because regardless, she still did a good job at that wedding, and everything went well. Even if she wasn’t there. I think nothing wouldn’t have gone to plan because I believe both Braxton and Cora needed her there and would’ve wondered and went looking for her. Since Cora didn’t look so much at Thom or that other chick, I can’t remember her name for some reason 🤣…

But in the end everybody a happy ending except for Ace lol, even Mandy knew that Ray was happy and didn’t ruin the wedding. That all that mattered. You live and learn in the end!!!

Hatemates by Mickey Miller

I’m about to start this book & I hope it’s good!

Book Review:

Hatemates = love mates

Spoilers? Yes!!!

I liked this book; it was really good!!!! So anyways, it was crazy how the guy wouldn’t change Alex’s room. But also a good thing because she had a dorm room instead of living in those hotels/motels. Where men ask her to do, she wants drugs. I think both Alex and DJ were both good for each other.

Plus, his parents needed that divorced because his father was a horrible man, especially when he went behind his back and smashed his son’s ex-girlfriend. Not only that, Jessica (DJ ex-girlfriend) wasn’t any better because she was chasing him and trying to get back with him. Plus threatening Alex about DJ but the whole time she was smashing his daddy. Just nasty 🤢 😷🤦🏽‍♀️…

I was glad that he curves that no dodge that bullet. Especially if his dad was the one who she Jessica cheated on him with at college when DJ was back home…

Book Description:

You arrive to college on the first day, ready to meet your roommate in the girl’s dorm.
A huge mistake puts you into the male dorm.
Your roommate? He’s DJ Dalton, football star and campus celebrity extraordinaire.
You can look, but you can’t touch.

Because the prettiest packages come with the biggest consequences…

Is he panty-meltingly handsome with an attitude to match? Sure.
Do I accidentally fantasize about him one (okay, maybe two) times? Fine, I’m honest enough to admit it.
None of that matters, because we’re opposites in all the ways that are important for getting along as college roommates:
He comes from a perfect life and old money. I come from a broken home and bowls of ramen.
He’s at Greene State to party. I’m here to study.
He’s a popular jock. I wouldn’t be caught dead playing sports.
To say we get off to a rocky start would be an understatement.
Ironically, that’s what causes our sizzling attraction to boil over one night. But even that comes at a price.
Because our story has a twist neither of us could see coming.
One that changes both of our lives, ’till death do us part.
