Cruel Games (Knights of Templar Academy #1) by Sofia Daniel

Book Review:

Wow is what I have to say. Just sad…

Spoilers. Splash here and there

Wow, this book wasn’t that bad as others I read but dang. That chick Elizabeth is just horrible, and the thing is… Maxwell, Kendrick, and Orlando. It is just a horrible like ugh!!!

Lilah knew all along that all three of the guys were gunning for her. But they got her when her ex Sammy and her step-father Billy popped up at that fashion thing! The crazy thing was I for sure thought it was Kendrick who was looking out for her. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ the whole time it wasn’t even Kendrick, it was Maxwell. Like OMG! He also had (temporary tattoos) so that they could get at her. I don’t understand why they hate Delilah so much. I can’t wait to figure out their reason.

Smh! I am going to read the next book though I’ll have to wait until 2021 to get the third book. Because this crazy. But at least, in the end, Maxwell got locked up too, especially with what all four of them done with Lilah!!!

Book Review:

Pretty good read; had me not wanting to stop reading!

***Spoilers; splash here and there***

This book was really good. I figure her best friend, Caroline, was trash and didn’t care about Beth. Even Parker didn’t like Caroline; he probably thought that something wasn’t right with her. He also didn’t like Jared for personal reasons, but he knew that Jared was trash.

I was glad when Beth figured out that both Caroline and Jared weren’t good people in her life. I mean Jared even showed proof of that after the accident that Beth was in…. he came to the hospital to talk smack to Parker, and stated how he was going to get Beth back. Like boy no, your garbage. I was like Beth woke up and heard everything that was said. And dismissed Jared from her life for good.

She even dismissed Caroline when Caroline blew her phone up with text messages. Beth figured things out when it came to Parker and his feelings and her own feelings. At first, she pushes him away, but after talking to her sister & then the accident where he saved her, she knew that Parker was meant for her. He may have been a “Stand-In” boyfriend, as everyone stated, but he was a perfect boyfriend for her.

Beth Bennett’s life is perfect. She’s convinced she has it all—the world’s best friend and the world’s best boyfriend. Now if only she could get the two to get along. With her spring break trip to Aspen just around the corner, Beth feels the pressure to spend time with both the guys in her life. But as usual, her older sister throws a wrench into Beth’s plans by hijacking her perfect spring break with a shotgun wedding.

As Beth scrambles to balance being a girlfriend, best friend and sister, her perfectly planned life spirals out of control. As always Parker is there to catch her. The Holiday Boyfriend: A Second Chance Christmas Romance (Boyfriend #4) by Christina Benjamin

At first I am like ehhh. 20 some chapters. I am glad that so far it’s good. I just hope by chapter 15, I don’t end up tired of reading like I normally do with certain books that good!!!

Book Review:

Holiday Boyfriend

Spoiler.. thrown here and there.

Wow, I didn’t know that this book was going to end like that. Wow! I was confused!

But I can say this; this book wasn’t a disappointment. It was a good read. I liked the story!

I thought it was cute, but also believed that Emma was kind of mean towards Will didn’t give him enough credit, when it came to his feelings and when it came to Liz. She was always quick to assume things instead of thinking things through and asking questions.

I was glad she realizes her feelings for Will instead of running away from him always. She knows that he didn’t fool around or lost his V-Card to Liz when she heard Will blast, Liz, out at the rooftop Christmas party. I was glad she heard it because it shows her who Will truly was and that he didn’t change.

Also, she knew she was wrong to run away from issues, especially when it came to her father and standing Will up at the dance.

I was also glad she had a talk with her father and realize he actually still loved her and wanted her around. Even her mother knew everything, and Emma assumes her mother was still hurting. But the talk with her father made her understand a lot of things and even got her to like Tara, which turn out to be good. She got a brother out of the deal, which she learned to love and become close too not only that she had another brother on the way.

A lot of things she had to thank Will for because he helped her through a lot when it came to her family and even Will. & she also helps Will have a good family Christmas and even Colin; her step-brother ended up with the best Christmas ever.

My High School Fake Boyfriend (The Boyfriend Series, #2) by Kylie Key

This book is actually pretty good. First time I ever read a book. Where the guy didn’t know everything was FAKE!

Book Review:

Spoilers.. thrown here and there in this review…
I read this book in like one day. Though I finish it at 1 am close to 2 am… this book I liked it. It was different, especially when it came to Peyton, not knowing about being a FAKE date for Mattie.

I felt bad for him; only reason he found out was because of Josh. Though I think Josh hated on him. & wanted to make him feel bad about himself and have him thinking Mattie didn’t like him. She only wanted to use him to make “Josh” jealous.

When that is the TRUTH of it all, but Mattie ended up falling in like with Peyton at the homecoming dance. She didn’t care about Josh. After that, it was more so about Peyton. Even when she got her phone taken away from her, she was trying to find him. But what ends up happening was Peyton finding out the truth from her best friend, Bella.

I understood why Bella told Peyton; I would’ve too. I did felt bad for him. I also thought, 9/10, he probably was a handsome boy even though he had the “port-wine birthmark” from birth. People can be harsh and mean. I understood how he was kind of hesitant about certain things that were happening.

I also know her dad was going to like him since Peyton, a Bears fan..🤣 & her (Mattie) mom and brothers going to like him too. I wanted to see if and when he meet her parents and brothers, but that never happened in the book. But it was interesting to learn who Katrina was 🤷🏽‍♀️… and I see why his uncle Luke knew things that were going on in school since Katrina was Mattie volleyball coach. & wind up -dating Peyton Uncle Luke…. very interesting and Peyton learning who Katrina was, was priceless.

But one thing I can say I was freaking died laughing at the part about the burnt pizza that her brothers tried to make… that was the funniest part of the book. I cracked up so hard at that. & Mattie said she tried to laugh at what happened, but tbh I would’ve died laughing. Even though my mom would’ve been fussing and me ending up grounded. But Mattie holds her laughter, though!!!

Btw: I can’t wait to read the first book to this series I think it’s a Christmas book. I can’t remember 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️… but not only that, I can’t wait for the next two books to come out about Bella – “My High School Billionaire Boyfriend” and Tanchia, “My High School Quarterback Boyfriend”… I’m going to be on the lookout for those books.

Dating: For the Assist: A Sweet YA Best Friend’s Brother Romance, Eastridge Heights Basketball Players, (Book 4) by Stephanie Street

Currently reading 📖…. “Dating to assist”. This was the main one I wanted to read since I was curious about Dannika feelings for her best friend twin brother…

Book Review:

Spoilers…just a few****••…

I wasn’t expecting this book to go into five years later. It was very interesting to read. Learning every one of the guys and the girls grown up to become an adult. To Luke and his twin, Piper was learning about who their birth father is. I don’t know why I think it was KARMA. It would be me of me to say that about their dad (Michael) who went into the army. But he did fool around with Bella, aka Lily behind his twin brother (Robert) back. 🤷🏽‍♀️… but at least, in the end, Lily got her happy ending with her true love Robert.

But anyway, I liked this book. I was glad it didn’t take Luke a long time to figure out his feelings for Dannika. As he said, he may have been in denial about how he truly felt about her. Glad it took a kissing game for them to become closer and want to be more than friends. That was a good thing! But did suck when Piper broke up with Drew that was cute together, but at least they figure things out in the end.

I don’t have much to say about this book, tbh since after they all graduated, it went into Mia/Grayson, Luke/Dannika, Noah/Tierney, and Drew/Piper. It was all their story leading into Luke and Dannika’s wedding.

What I realize is out of all the guys, Drew was the only guy from the basketball (from the close friends) that went into professional basketball, whereas Will, Noah, Luke, Grayson, Mateo, Zeke, and AJ went a different route. Very interesting to see. But at least they all stay close even with busy schedules and marriages/careers and children/to-be…

Dating: For the Block: Eastridge Heights Basketball Players (Book 3) by Stephanie Street

Just started reading 📖 this book yesterday. I think I figure out what the title of this book means now.

Book Review:

Spoilers… hmm.. 🤔 there’s a lot!
So okay! It took me a while to get back to this series. Not even sure why I never finish this series. I’ll say I am glad I got around to reading this book.

I was like, ehh! Mm. I wonder how this one is going to be. Not once was I disappointed. I will say this Mia did judge Grayson by what she heard in the bathroom. Not only that, it made him look bad because she caught him kissing the girl (lord knows I can’t remember her name🤣 starts with a K, I think 🤔) but anyway she’s not essential.

Another thing was how Mia acted like her mom didn’t care about her, and she became a little bitter. When I was like uhh girl, you had a choice to move with your mom to Alaska. She didn’t even abandon her daughter for one. She only up and decided to move based on her husband, Mark, job. That what Mia didn’t understand. Especially when they are used to living in a certain area!!!

I was glad when Mia came around and talked to her mom about it. Not only that, but both Mia and Grayson was also mean for lying to their parents about them dating so that they could break up something that good (their parents dating; each other).

It only took them later on to realize what a mistake they made, especially Grayson though Mia felt like her father will abandon her too like she assumes her mom did.

But at least everyone came around and worked things out. Grayson’s mom Michelle with talking to him again. To her dating Dennis and getting married. & not only that, Grayson and Mia are getting together finally after all the judgment she put that poor boy through at least it works out in the end.

She (Mia) also got a little brother out of the deal. Her mom and her husband welcome a little boy. & for Grayson to finally talk to his (REAL) father, which I was glad too, though I felt his hesitation about seeing and meeting his dad since his father was always not there in his life and was dead beat. Funny how his father wanted to talk to him when he decided to get married, that was interesting.

Plus, at least Grayson got a (STEP-father) figure in his life always that was his basketball coach. Who fell in love with his mom!!! Though his girlfriend became his sister, which was hilarious, especially when she kept bringing it up at the end!!

What a mess!

Grayson Levitt was charming. Everyone loved him. Everyone but Mia. It wouldn’t matter except they had to work together to keep the unthinkable from happening. Somehow he had to prove he wasn’t the guy she thought. And if she ended up falling for him? All the better.

Can Grayson and Mia put their differences aside to put their plan into action? And were they even doing the right thing?

Book Review:

Pretty good read, can’t lie. Maybe the trade was good for him, yeah?? I mean, the book title clearly says it “The Trade.”

****Spoilers? Hmm, 🤔 there’s a possibility of a few being splash 💦 here and there in this review📖*****

Okay, so I had this book on my TBR list to read I’m glad I got to read it. Also, it’s another book I think it was “The Line Up” since I saw it floating around last year!

But anyway, I liked this book. The sad thing was all that crap Cory was going through I felt so bad for him. Especially when he got sick and on top of all the crap the media and the Rebel fans put him through!

I didn’t blame him on the break up with him and Natalie. Since he wanted a BREAK, whereas she told him they might as well BREAK UP for Good! She did that because she was upset, which I understood because he asked her for a break!

Though, he told her to stay in the hotel room. I mean, she didn’t listen. & all that crap that happened made him snap and said things that he didn’t mean. It took them seven months to get back together. Which I think was well needed, because it’s a lot of things that Cory needed to work out with himself.

I think Natalie didn’t understand, even when he came to her and ask for forgiveness at her brother Jason’s fundraiser. She pretended like she didn’t understand or didn’t hear him. But she did since she responded to him. & ended up getting him upset and walking away again. Only for her dumb self realize what JUST happened once he walked away when the guy Nicholas walked up to them.

I kind of thought Natalie didn’t understand what Cory went through; he was losing hair and everything. It took him to faint in the locker room to text her brother with worry about what was going on with Cory. For her to come around, which I was glad for. Since I could tell, she cared about him though she was in denial.

Though; that’s what I thought he was doing holding his feelings in when he saw her at the dugout. But I was glad in the end that they worked things out, and he finally got those horrible fans to approve by stating.

“They can take the bat I just used to hit this team to victory and shove it right up their asses.”

It took him to say that and putting up his middle fingers to get approval all smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ though some still can be mean to him.

Also, I cracked up when he learned the reason behind the name boss. They told him a different story; up until they told him about getting Natalie back. The whole time it was about how BIG he was packing.

Besides that, I can’t wait to read Jason and Dottie’s story because lord, he had me cracking up because he’s ridiculous. & the crazy thing is that was the first book I put on my TBR list for this series that I wanted to READ but forgot!!!!

Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.

I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she’s perfect.

I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn’t get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.

So what’s the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can’t stop crushing on, yeah… she’s married.

At least, that’s what I was told…

The Enemy Hypothesis (Brazos High Romance #2) by Amy Sparling

I have actually been waiting for this book to come out. Glad I got a chance to read it. But what I am glad for, is that this book isn’t BORING. Like the last book that I just finished today. That had my brain 🧠 popping and flatline. I am almost finished with “The Enemy Hypothesis by @writeamysparling … Currently reading 📖…. “The Square Root of Falling”… – after reading a couple chapters I understand the title of the book! #competition ! Bleh…

Book Review:

Xx, this book was pretty awesome, short but good!!!!!

Spoilers… not really. But maybe a few**

Okay, so I’ve been waiting on this book to come out. I forgot who Abby was since the author. Took a while to put this book out., I forgot how book one went lmao.

But with book two, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Especially when coming from a book that was so boring made my head hurt.

With this book, I thought Abby was mean to Mark. Though I understood why she acted the way she acted. She wasn’t sure if he was playing a joke on her when he kept asking her out. They both were competing against each other. In the competition. So that’s understandable. But you could tell that Mark didn’t want to win anymore, he wanted Abby to win more than he did.

He showed proof when he won when he told the people that he wanted to give his win to Abby. Before Abby learned what he did, I mean she was BIG MAD I doubt she would’ve congratulated him if he didn’t decide on Abby needed the win more than him. Clearly, she hated him for that win, but they worked things out once she realizes he wasn’t a jerk. And picked the Red Jeep that Abby wanted so that he could give it to her.

I thought it was cute of him to do that for him. Especially since he liked her and vise versa.

Besides, I can’t wait until the next book comes out. I am going to be looking out for “The Theory of the Boy Next Door,”.. especially learning who the girl and boy might be. I can’t even put my finger on who it might be at all.

Being Brooke (Barley Cross #1) by Emma Hart

I started this book back in January. But never went back to finish it. Finally, I decided to go ahead and retry reading it. Since when I first start it, it was kind of dry. So far it’s keeping my interests.

Book Review:

Ehhh it was ok

**Spoilers. I don’t know if it will be*** but maybe a few••**

I’m going to say this; this review may be short because I don’t have much to say. If it ends up longer, then I have something to say.

But I am going to say this; this book was sooo boring. I started it back in January and decided to finish it this month, ugh! But it was still not that interesting.

& the thing is I’ve read other books by Emma Hart, that wasn’t like this book, this book I had to skip a couple of pages when I got to chapter twenty. Because I didn’t care… I just wanted to finish it… & I did. At least I know what happened in the end.

Not only that, I thought Brooke was a little annoying because she kept holding on to her feelings and not saying anything; it took her way to long. Even after her best friend Cain kissed her, she still was in denial about her feelings and even his. Like girl, it was a REASON behind that kiss. Even Cain brothers told her that Cain was always in love with her.

Heck, Cain ex-girlfriend Nina knew that something was there with both Brooke and Cain. End the end; I was glad that they both figured things out and started dating. & Brooke is figuring out what she wanted out of her life even though she was a disaster of a girl.

P.S., so I want to read book two with Carly and Zeke. What I will say is I pray and hope that it is shorter if not shorter but way better and more interesting than this one with Brooke. I am hoping that book two is a banger. Because I want to read that book, same way I wanted to read this one, but UGH!!!!!

Book Description:

BEING BROOKE is a laugh-out-loud, witty, and sometimes highly inappropriate romantic comedy about being in love with your best friend. And how much that freaking sucks.

My name is Brooke Barker…
And I’m a freaking disaster.
No, seriously. I’m a college drop-out working a dead-end job, my best friend Carly’s dog gets more action than I do, and I have more bad dates in my diary than there are movie remakes.
Not to mention I’m completely and utterly in love with Cain Elliott.
The problem? He’s in a relationship. With a girl who’s so plastic she makes Barbie cry herself to sleep with jealousy.
The second problem? He’s my best friend.
My shut-up-and-put-on-Harry-Potter, yes-this-is-your-shirt, help-I-have-no-power, crap-I’m-out-of-tampons, kinda best friend.
And that’s all he can be, right?

Something New by Amanda Abram

Currently reading “Something New” & hoping Cassie (the girl who has the same name as me “Cassandra”) doesn’t go back to her cheating ex-boyfriend.

Book Review:

It was definitely something new going on even something BETTER!!

Will there be spoilers? Maybe who knows until this review is written.

Okay, I would like to start and say that Elijah was trash for thinking that Cassie was going to take him back so fast. Not only that, make things into a joke, especially when he didn’t run behind Cassie when he was caught kissing his ex-girlfriend Hannah. It was Dylan who chased Cassie. Not only that, but it was also other situations between him and Cassie that he didn’t run behind her. It was always Dylan who did.

I couldn’t understand how he thought nothing was going to become of their (Cassie and Dylan) relationship. Especially when they were always together and looking out for each other.

What made it worse he didn’t want Cassie like he thought he did. For him to ruin his friendship and get mad at both Dylan and Cassie was a waste of time. Because of one, Cassie knew that he was still in LOVE with Hannah and knew that their relationship was going to end eventually. Which I agree on because he acted all shocked about getting caught kissing Hannah.

Then on top of that, he fought Dylan over Cassie for nothing when he still was in love with Hannah. If he wanted Cassie, he would’ve traded with Dylan when they had picked names out of the bucked during class. But Cassandra learned the truth behind the name picking.

Elijah didn’t want to trade Dylan; he wanted to stay partners with Hannah, whereas his best friend ended up partners with Cassandra. Like everyone else, I, too, thought that Dylan was a good match for her. She and Elijah weren’t fit for one another. Because in the back of Cassie’s mind, Elijah would’ve always had feelings for Hannah and wanted to be with her.

Heck, I figured that the before Cassie even mentioned it and even the proof where Dylan told Cassie when he learned his true feelings for her. Was when she was sitting on Elijah’s car, staring at Elijah watching Hannah in a bindi and being around Hannah and her friends all day. It was Dylan who went and kept her company until Elijah finally figured out who his actual girlfriend was.

In the end, I was glad that Elijah came to his senses after Cassie told him off to where he learned the truth of what she felt and where his feelings were at. Plus, he got the stick out of his behind when he learned that his best friend was moving away, which did it for him. Because he knew he didn’t want to lose his best friend.

I was glad all three of them work things out with each other and stayed friends, especially Dylan and Elijah! Dylan and Cassie ended up getting back together, and Dylan also got his friends back.

Though I still say that they weren’t his friends, I mean NOT one was a TRUE friend, they all sided with Elijah over Dylan, which was wack in my opinion.

They felt like just cause Elijah cheated, they will take his side over Dylan, who ended up being there for the ONE girl that Elijah hurt the most!

Book Description:

Cassie Briggs never thought she’d be married at age sixteen—especially not to Dylan Meyers, her boyfriend’s best friend. Of course, they’re not married for real. It’s just a project for their Life Economics class, where each student is randomly paired up to manage finances, make important life decisions, and deal with catastrophic events.

It was supposed to be an easy A, but now Cassie is not so sure. Getting paired with Dylan is bad enough, but then Cassie’s boyfriend Elijah gets paired with his ex-girlfriend, Hannah: the former childhood sweetheart who broke his heart. The girl who took him months to get over—if he’s ever gotten over her at all.

When the project leads to inevitable heartbreak for Cassie, she begins to find comfort in the most unexpected place: her pretend husband…her now-ex-boyfriend’s best friend…the last guy in the world she should be growing closer to. And as Elijah vows to stop at nothing to win back Cassie’s heart—despite being the one to break it—Cassie soon finds herself facing her own important life decision: does she want to give Elijah a second chance? Or could she be ready for something new?
