Off Limits: The Best Friend by Kat Bellemore

Second, to the fourth book, I’m reading… so far it’s good…

Book Review:

I see the meaning behind the title but the book was a good-ok read!!

Spoilers….here and there

I kind of started with book two, now I wish I started with book one first. But oh well, not going back to read a series over just because I wanna see what happened again. But at least I’ll get the chance to read book 5 soon enough!

So with that being said. When I first started this book, it started slow. It was kind of boring so.. it took me a while to finish it. Which lead me to read other books too.

But I was glad I finally got a chance to read this book. To learn who Alexis and Charlie were. Since they popped up in the book with Gracie and Markus.

With this book; I felt kind of bad for Alexis in many ways to those girls Cynthia and Jackie being mean to her. To Charlie dissing her, for Cynthia. I mean I understood why he was mad. But he still shouldn’t have thrown Cyrhnia in her face like that when she and Jackie were evil villains towards Alexis. Rob wasn’t mean like those girls were. He just had a feeling that Charlie had a thing for Alex. Even though Alex didn’t see it until after they kissed and stopped talking for a while.

I know one thing it took them long enough to get together. Because I was like dang… they dragging this along too much when they could talk to each other and work out there a friendship with each other. Even though friendship with each other wouldn’t have worked anymore because they both wanted to be with each other. But those use other people for a distraction…

My Bully’s Dad: (The Forbidden Fun Series) by Cassandra Dee

I was curious about this book. Was trying to figure out how I could get this book. Finally got it. Because ➡️ this girl 👧 ⬅️ here was curious about the bully and the dad who banged the class mate. I was like yasss girl get yourself some pay back. If only this could happen for all bullies 🤷🏽‍♀️😏 the pay back be good especially for the older ones. I could never stand bullies. Even the stank ahh adult ones.

Book Review:

••• Spoilers just a few of them•••
Hmm, let’s see I’ve been seeing books by Cassandra Dee. In my email; I was like I want to READ these books. They sounded so interesting. My Bully’s Dad was one of them; I was trying to figure out how am I going to get this book because it’s definitely wasn’t on Amazon if it was I couldn’t find it. But iBooks have them.

I was glad I got a chance to read it because this had me curious and I was wondering would Samatha find out that her dad was smashing the girl that she once bullied. I did guess that Sam was going through something especially for her to throw that sandwich in Tilly like that which was uncalled for.

This probably wasn’t shocking for me was learning that Rob (Sam ex and Tilly and Nicole) bully actually started talking (dating) Nicole. I said to myself all along Rob probably had a thing for Nicole when they were in school but he was one of the popular kids but was to chicken shit to ask Nicole out. It took him to leave and go to college for him to be brave.

Not only that Sam’s dad Mike put not one but two babies in Tilly. But at least Sam and Tilly’s parents were accepting of their relationship I did wonder if Sam’s dad was in his early 30s or not!!!

Book Review:

Good read…..

***Spoilers. Thrown here and there***

This is the third book to this series. Glad I got around to reading. I think that it’s good. I’ve read books 2, 4, and now 3 so far in this series. I do have to read book 1. I’ll read that soon enough!

So with that being said… I just didn’t understand what Cameron had against rich people especially Amanda when he didn’t know what happened or what she been through when she lost her dad. Her mom had to be the one to go to work to make sure Amanda was good even though they both were grieving for the loss of her dad and her mom’s husband.

I liked the fact that Cameron’s mom understood that and not only that Cameron’s dad explains to Cam the reason behind his statement he made. About the guy who laid him off or whatever. & not Amanda’s mom. He should’ve known that Amanda and her mom weren’t bad people. I was glad he realizes that about her and figured it out and apologize to Amanda.

Not only that Amanda understanding the way that Cameron felt. But you could tell Cam did things that got himself in trouble because of what he didn’t have. But learning that the prank wasn’t for the drama team but actually for Blair’s brother was good to know.

Book Description:

He’s a star swimmer. She’s in the drama club. One prank will upend everything.

After star swimmer, Cameron Taylor, pulls a prank that manages to both terrify the drama club and cancel his swim meet, he’s unable to escape punishment. Suspended from the swim team, he thinks it can’t get worse…until he’s cast as young Scrooge in the school play. If he refuses? He’ll be kicked off the team permanently.

No matter what Amanda Barrett auditions for, she never makes the cut. Just once she’d like someone to notice her. But when she finally lands a role in The Christmas Carol as Belle, Scrooge’s ex-fiancée, she doesn’t even have time to celebrate before she realizes her character’s love interest is the obnoxiously arrogant and rude (though, admittedly hot) captain of the swim team.

As their Christmas performance draws near, Amanda and Cameron will need to put aside their differences and figure out—before it’s too late—they are meant to be much more than rivals.

Off Limits: The Smarty-Pants (Off-Limits #2) by Kat Bellemore

Finally gotten around to reading this book. I’m trying to at least finish this book.

Book Review:

Good

Spoilers….just a few.

I finally got around to reading the second book to this series. I know I read like the fourth book. I believe in this series. I know I am kind of out of order when it comes to this series. But regardless of out of order, I am, I still think that this book is good.

Not only that I felt that Gracie and Mark were right for each other. Never thought that Mark was a nerd… I thought he was a different type. But felt that he was different and right for Gracie and she to him. Plus; I felt that he definitely needed to talk to his dad. About what he wanted out of life. Not only that, but it also helped so much when it came to telling his father. He finally knew what is dad felt and why his mom and dad broke up.

Plus I see that he went to MIT. I kind of forgot he was in college. Because book four wasn’t based on him and Gracie but on there other friend Sandra and the principal son Blair…

When Gracie is offered a spot on a weeklong school trip, she jumps at the chance to get out of the house. She didn’t count on the cute, but dorky, Markus Brown being there as well.

My High School Rebel Boyfriend: A Sweet YA Enemies to Lovers Romance (Boyfriend Series (River Valley High) Book 4) by Kylie Key

So far I’m liking this book. Lately I’ve been reading some boring books. I’ve been taking forever to finish them. This the second book so far that has kept my interest. Then I’ll be back to finishing off the other boring book I started bleh.

Book Review:

Good read

Spoilers, thrown out throughout this review…

I was curious about this book about how it was going to be. It was good. Was it different yes; I felt like Mitch and Harper were made for each other because they both were dealing with something that was in their life. Harper with her diabetes and Mitch with his stepfather abuse and his mother’s arthritis.

The only problem with this book I had was the repeat of Harper’s diabetes and what she had to do to keep herself good. I was like that was too much (not about diabetes) but the repeats of it. I’m not wording it right, but I felt I understood her situation and felt like the food intake, etc didn’t need a repeat in every chapter.

What I did felt bad about what Mitch and his friends did with her foods. They didn’t save any for her. I felt like you don’t go in someone’s bag. When you don’t know if there’s a reason why that person may have things in their bag. Dude to their health. I was waiting on Mitch to get a clue on how he been treating her. After her diabetes scare.., he got himself together and realize that he shouldn’t be mean to her.

I felt like he always carried out an attitude towards people, because of what went on at home. I was glad that he had Harper in his life. Because I felt like MAYBE his stepdad would get a clue; I just wish that Harper could’ve told her parents at least about Mitch and his abuse…

But she wanted to keep his secret and see if his stepfather Wade would change. Also, I think with the training, his mom probably would move around more. Harper to me brought LIGHT into Mitch family because no one seems happy until Harper popped up.

Never a Saint (Polished P & P #2) by Lila Rose

This book was actually good. Finish it one day…. can’t wait for book 3… because I’m curious…. with West. Plus I knew I was right about who Kylo was going to end up with. 😏😏 … @lilarose78

Book Review:

Spoilers. Thrown around…
I’ve been waiting to read this book, ever since I learn that it’s going to be a book 2 with Kylo and just knew in my mind that it was going to be Saint that Kylo was going to end up with and damn if I wasn’t right with my theory. This lead to to this:

I’m thinking that West “Client” is Death or Torch because they are popping up to much much in this book. Especially Death. I’m leaning more towards him. Because he seems like he keeps stuff to himself when it comes to a relationship or smashing someone.

Just as my theory for Saint and Kylo I’m thinking it’s between Torch or Death when it comes to West. But more so Death. I can’t wait for book three to come out because oh I am soooo curious… but I wonder who Mr. Hail is… guesss I’ll find out next year when West book comes out because something is definitely up. But I thought sure he’ll end up with a biker.

Next year can’t come fast enough lol wish his book could come early lol. Oh well; all I can say I definitely enjoyed this book I actually read it in one day since I wouldn’t count the early morning since i finish around 3am ish.

I been saying all along that it was Zion in my mind I was like it’s no way that it was West went I was reading the ending of Wreck and Lucas story when everyone was helping them move in and Kylo dropped the box clearly you wouldn’t known why Kylo dropped the book. He drop the box after hearing about the date that Zion had going on by his mom. But in book with Lucas I wouldn’t have known anything went down with Saint and Kylo like never would’ve known.

That did surprise me with finding out something happened way before Lucas and Wreck moved together. Not only that Kylo parents were horrible people. Especially his father he was a bad man from killing Samantha (his wife; Kylo mom) I felt bad for her because at least she did care about Kylo in her own way. Especially when trying to stop Henry dusty self from harming Kylo in the end he still did. But in the end Kylo got the last laugh when they found Henry and he killed him. I mans he did deserved it for what he did. Including calling him all of those names and begging for forgiveness along with not wanting to go to jail etc.

I was like he preaching to the choir. Ain’t nobody listening.

Kylo and Saint definitely wasnt listening in the end they ended up moving together. It’s also interesting enough to learn that Saint gave himself to Kylo also. Kylo MC name was interspersed I mean “Gun” suited him because of what he did when he came to Zion when he got shot….

Grayson Hawkins’s marriage fell apart when he caught his wife with his best friend. Emotionally bankrupt, he’s left her and his high-pressure job to start over in a new town. A clean slate for the artist. A new coffeehouse to patronize. A fresh page on which he can draw his illustrations.

Grayson and Isla form an unconventional pact where he agrees to be her sex guru to help her gain the experience she seeks in trade for permission for him to sketch her comical dates for his newspaper’s Instagram page. But such a pact doesn’t come without pitfalls, and Isla must make a decision. Does she apply her newfound knowledge on one of her dates, or will she realize her Sexpert was always the one?

Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They’re the perfect bedside read, a ‘quick blush’ for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.

The Dare (Briar U #4) by Elle Kennedy

This one has me curious.. but I cracked up at the pretend sex in the beginning. Hilarious 😆 … especially when you proving something to horrible people….

Book Review:

Just a few spoilers are thrown here and there…
Before I started my review, I like to point out that this one was a little different for me. Then the other three before this one. I don’t know, but I was a bit over reading it when I got to chapter 39 even by 35. Whereas the other ones I wanted to know what happened next so fast like I was zooming through them lol. Whereas this one I’m like GAH. When am I going to be done? But through all of that, I still thought this book was good. I gave this one a three-star ⭐️ rather than a 4 or 5 star.

But I will say this…… I felt that Taylor was right for Coner and Coner was right for Taylor. They both fit each other well. Because they both had these insecurities and fucked up situations. Such as her weight/breast to his situation with Kai and acting out before he came to Briar.

Both of them did get on my last nerve, though, with breaking up with each other. Because something was going on with them, I wish they could’ve talked it out instead of breaking up. I did felt bad for both Rebecca and Taylor for Jules and Kevin did. I mean, I felt like Kevin May have had a hard-on for Taylor. Like get real, you have to talk about someone’s weight is ridiculous. No matter what size you are small/slim, big/fat, medium size, we have insecurities and talk about it.

I wish that Taylor didn’t felt the way she did. Because look at Abigail, she had insecurities about her breast too. I realize that people who are bigger than someone small. Always point out smaller women are PERFECT. When that isn’t true. Smaller women have body issues too. I was glad that Coner showed Taylor that regardless of her big-oh-bittes, he cared and loved her despite what others or (her – Taylor) thought. She wanted to show her she’s beautiful.

I think she got it in the end after what went down with the video. Now I figure out why Rebecca probably kept staring at Taylor. She may have liked her in some way.

When I was reading book one…. & realize Hunter got his own book. I was like I definitely have to read his book. Because I felt bad for him in book one. Though I was like duh boy what you expect. But I can say I am not disappointed at all while reading this book. Currently reading 📖 The Risk. I’m still waiting on Brenna to tell her friends she’s dating the enemy. But here like ahh Hunter got him a Latina/Black girl I see 😏 plus he way better in 🛌 than her ex 😅… I’m like “you go girl” 👏🏽

Book Review:

Spoilers… thrown here and there+**
Well… I can say for this series this the main book I wanted to read because of what happened in book one with Summer bad Fritz. I felt kind of bad for Hunter and his feelings. But felt like he and Fritz could’ve talked it out. But learning that they are cool now; it makes me happy.

I think that Hunter needed to learn a lot from his mistakes and what he was doing in book two with Breena, especially fooling no banging all of the girls. Especially that guy girl. He figured out what he needs to do, which led to him becoming a Monk. Until Demi stepped into his life….. I was so rooting for them to get together. I was like rushing; lol her and Nico to break up 🤣 … because I wanted Demi to get better D and a better relationship. That she did. Also, I was glad that her dad finally took a liking to Hunter. Because lord knows he one hard man to please. It took Demi saving one of her best friend TJ for her father to look at Hunter as a good guy. I was glad of that.

Because he was kissing Nico ass even when he found out that Nico beat up Hunter, I was like dude??? What are you seriously telling your daughter to get back with a cheater? Just because it’s someone who she dated since she thirteen. And because y’all families are close. I said to myself; I wonder how he felt if he learns what type of father Hunter has; he’ll think differently. But in the end, I’m just glad that things worked out for them.

Plus, on the flip side… Hollis and Rupi were getting eloped, which was surprising. But I’m glad for them both….

Book Description:

A brand-new standalone novel in the New York Times bestselling Briar U series!

What I learned after last year’s distractions cost my hockey team our entire season? No more screwing up. No more screwing, period. As the new team captain, I need a new philosophy: hockey and school now, women later. Which means that I, Hunter Davenport, am officially going celibate…no matter how hard that makes things.

But there’s nothing in the rulebook that says I can’t be friends with a woman. And I won’t lie—my new classmate Demi Davis is one cool chick. Her smart mouth is hot as hell, and so is the rest of her, but the fact that she’s got a boyfriend eliminates the temptation to touch her.

Except three months into our friendship, Demi is single and looking for a rebound.

And she’s making a play for me.

Avoiding her is impossible. We’re paired up on a yearlong school project, but I’m confident I can resist her. We’d never work, anyway. Our backgrounds are too different, our goals aren’t aligned, and her parents hate my guts.

Hooking up is a very bad idea. Now I just have to convince my body—and my heart.

The Risk (Briar U #2) by Elle Kennedy

Currently reading 📖 The Risk. I’m still waiting on Brenna to tell her friends she’s dating the enemy.

Book Review:

… Spoilers are thrown here and there****
Two wait no three words “Rupi and Hollis”… so in the first book I was like I hope that Hollis gets himself a girl. Yay, he did, which I was glad for because Brenna wasn’t it for him. Rupi was lol. Which I was glad for I can say she is one bold freshman. But eventually, Hollis gave into his feelings for Rupi.

But anyways enough about them two because this book is based on Jake and Brenna. When I was reading book one. I didn’t think that Jake would end up with Brenna. But to read this one and to learn he was the main character guy in this book for Brenna, it became interesting.

Because they both tamed each other, both level each other out and was fit for one another; I did think that he push McCarthy and Brenna away from each other because deep down, I think he wanted her for himself. I mean, he admitted to her he wanted her. But at least McCarthy found someone and wasn’t bent over Brenna, not wanting to continue anything. But what was a good thing was they didn’t bang each other that would’ve been awkward, especially when she and Jake ended up with one another.

Not only that, but I was also glad that Brenna and her dad worked things out with each other, especially with the help from Jake. It did suck when he broke up with her. I still blame Hazel for their breakup, even though he doesn’t blame her. I do because if it weren’t for Hazel jealousy of Brenna, they wouldn’t have broken up. As Brenna said, she believed that Hazel had a thing for Jake, which came out to be true. You could tell by how she treated Brenna when it came to the bracelet and the relationship Bree had with Jake. Hazel knew that it was more than a hook up between them. She tried her best to ruin something that shouldn’t have been ruin in the first place.

Plus, I liked how Hollis was there for her, and Bree was there for him with. Both their relationship. But back to Bree’s father, I was glad they worked things out to learning the beef between her father and Jake’s hockey coach. I figure it had something to do with her mother. I mean, it always involves a female when two guys are beefing. (Example; Fritz + Hunter = Summer, to Chad (Bree sad) + Jake Coach = Bree mom, to Hunter + (Jake teammate = Violet (technically I forgot that kid name because he wasn’t essential, but I think his name is Jonah). I believe Heath should’ve told his friends about Jonah being mad that cost that big blow-up between Briar and Harvard. But at least that made Hunter began to think about his mistakes because lord knows I’m waiting for him and Fritz to make up he and Summer have made up. I didn’t see anything about him and Fritz.

But at least at the end of this book, Bree and Jakey made up & now are together. I cannot wait to read Hunter’s book. That is one book I’ve wanted to read since I started reading Chase because I was curious and wanted him to find a girl for himself.

Book Description:

A sexy standalone novel from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy. THE RISK takes you back to the world of hot hockey players, feisty heroines, bro banter, and steamy scenes…

Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right—I don’t let fear rule me, and I certainly don’t care what people think. But I draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. As the daughter of Briar’s head hockey coach, I’d be vilified if I hooked up with a player from a rival team.

And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel—I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me.

I need Connelly to be my fake boyfriend.

For every fake date…he wants a real one.

Which means this bad girl is in big trouble. Nothing good can come from sneaking around with Jake Connelly. My father would kill me, my friends will revolt, and my post-college career is on the line. But while it’s getting harder and harder to resist Jake’s oozing sex appeal and cocky grin, I refuse to fall for him.

That’s the one risk I’m not willing to take.
