Don’t Fall for Trouble (Rockford High Book 2) by Victorine E. Lieske

I’ve been waiting on this story.. finally got a chance to read it… I am waiting on her dad to find out that she’s hanging with the kid he sent away… though I want him to realize everything that happened with Christian and his mom police boyfriend was a LIE …. but Christian name reminds me of ‘Christian Black’ from the funny version of the fifty shades movie…

Book Review:

Good book
**** There are a few spoilers here and there****

Oh, I can’t wait for the next book, “Don’t Trust the Impostor.” To come out…. because for one I want to know what will happen between Eli and Destiny I knew they were well hoping they were going to get a book.

To me after reading that ending, I don’t think Eli made a bet or a deal with Jack… at all…. and really not an impostor but I will see once that book comes out and I get to read it…

But back to the story about Jessica and Christian.., I was glad that it was Jessica who shown Christian that it’s okay to stay in school and taken Mr. B advice; at least he had someone in the school system which was looking out for him… I also was hoping that they clear his record because what he did to protect his family’ from Michael was important and acceptable heck anyone do anything to protect his or her family. That man was horrible…

Reading this book and learning that his mom boyfriend name… I see that he’s an abuser… I am like aren’t that something… my family member boyfriend an abuser and a got the same name….. but at least, in the end, he didn’t leave, but I do wonder will his mom and sister come back to a new home or their old home since that police officer was going to jail for the crimes that he committed… I mean clearly, people should’ve known something was fishy regardless of him being an officer… not all are good people, and it was BAD that he got away with so much … and it took him taking Jessica in and harassing her to let them go into more investigating Michael…

I’m just glad he got something coming to him (cop) and Jessica and Christian got to be together in the end, her dad accepted their relationship…

Scarred by Joanne Macgregor

This my second book by this author. I actually like it… but I don’t understand how Sloan can have feelings for Luke when he is so mean to her smh! I’m not going to give a spoiler but I do want to smack him into next week. I’m just hoping I don’t get bored with this because I tin to get bored and distracted by books that have more than 20-30 chapters… but so far it’s good I’m on chapter 25 📖⭐️ …. reading this book is one reason why I really hate when people text and drive or talk and drive like that conversation isn’t that important to lose your life or someone loses their life for some other person stupidity… maybe I did add a Spoilers oh well…

Book Review:

Really good

••*** There’s going to be a lot no there’s a lot of spoilers in this review****
So okay; I am not a person who accepts texting and driving. I hate it. & wish people will stop doing what they are doing when it comes to this dangerous situation. What I didn’t like was how Sloane was so in like with Luke when the look was so mean to her because he blamed her for his brother died. Yes, she the one that grabs the steering wheel to avoid those two little girls but what happened was Luke brother Andrew ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. It did suck that he ended up dead.
But what Luke and his parents didn’t realize that Sloane had lost someone too her mother (though her mother; shouldn’t be driving and looking down at her freaking phone) smh! Not only that Sloane ended up hurt by what happened in that accident, but she also lost a lot too. But I was glad in the end Luke realize that she wasn’t the blame even though he was petty with that Juliet situation.
I also felt bad for LJ if it weren’t for Tyrone ignorant self none of that lockdown with the school shooting wouldn’t have happened. The thing I realize was this happens so much in real life with the “school shooting” and “driving and texting” people losing their lives. But glad; that no one died. But I think LJ could’ve gotten some help. What happened was he had enough of that crappy teacher and someone how it pissed him off when it came to Luke (but I was like he shouldn’t think Luke is perfect when his home life is horrible), but LJ didn’t see that because he didn’t know. I still think he could’ve shot that teacher Perkel or whatever his name spell like in his *** that would’ve been priceless. Because the whole time he was bullying that boy left and right what I didn’t understand how no one did anything about it but wanted to be scared when LJ come into the school with the gun. He didn’t want to hurt anyone, but mostly he wanted to hurt Tyrone (who put his real name out there), Perkel (his teacher) and Luke (the pretty boy) … but he didn’t hurt anyone besides Sloane and Luke because he hit her with the gun and ended up shooting the desk and the bark from the desk stabbed Luke in the chest…

More Than His Best Friend (More Than Best Friends #1) by Sally Henson

I hope 🤞 I like this book and don’t become bored with it… I think 🤔 I may have been bored with because I was sleepy and didn’t realize I fell asleep while reading 😂📖

Book Review:

****There’s just a few spoilers***
I was going through book two and three and found out her parents done found out about them in book three by rumors come on now. I was going to see if I can make the pain go away by reading book two and three, but I don’t think I’ll make it because if book one feels like a freaking drag no way I’m a sit through another 60+ chapters I bet that book two and three have. Just for Reagan to be whiny every chapter I wish Stacey take pictures as she did with Cameron and Reagan just so my headache would be gone with this chick. Like gah; I hate books like this when the author drags the story on forever especially with so many unnecessary chapters ugh could’ve stopped at 20 something then made the rest into the next two books.
But the thing is this book is good omg! But I cannot take it. I just wanted Lane to stop giving in to her for once, like sheesh like hiding the crap from people…. but get mad when they spread rumors, I’m like if she doesn’t give them something to talk about. Like half the guys and her friends know that Lane liked her and their friend Tobi and both their mom sees it too. But nooooo stupid little sixteen years Reagan want to drag it, I’m like lordt Lane is eighteen he should’ve told Reagan I’ll wait for you once you turn eighteen because lord this girl whine throughout the rest of the book once Lane told her how he felt and when he kissed her. I wanted Lane to tell her father when he was talking about Paul wanting to take her out, but no she didn’t want to tell her father… I’m not going to waste my brain cells on the next books at all though I want to know what happens next if I do decide on reading them I pray it’s less than 40 chapters,….. I’m not going to lie the last few chapters I was scheming through them. Plus there’s the 4th book about their friend Cameron I more than likely will read that one, curious since he had a thing for whiny Reagan too.

The Law of Tall Girls by Joanne Macgregor

I’m feeling those pink tims… though I freaking HATE pink… “What I’m reading” 📖 I’m like glad I FINALLY get to actually read a book about a TALL female. Because I feel like every author has to put a female at 5’3-4 🙄 like dude go above the 4 pleassssse

Book Review:

••••There’s plenty of SPOILERS in this review****••

Peyton is 6 feet tall or was it 6.5. Not sure; but in my head, I’m like I wouldn’t want to be that tall. She has a hard time with a lot of things people keep calling her tall. like she doesn’t know that already. & top of that she was trying to go on dates with the tallest guys to win a bet (which was to pay college). She couldn’t even fit girl clothing… I said why don’t she just wear guy clothes lol. Her feet are a size 13 I said sheesh; I already know there’s no size 13, in women shoes, it stops at 12 as I know of. but now she’s sewing her clothing to make them fit & she finally knows what she wants to go to college for. That what I am glad of how she figured out what she wanted out of life, even when she is dealing with so much. But the thing is in REAL LIFE there are real clothing for TALL GIRLS 😂…

BTW THAT;

Smh; what Jay did to Peyton at that performance was dead wrong; I think he ONLY came to her house to apologize because of the principle coming for him and Doug’s head… not only that everybody was pissed off at him and giving him hell. Even his parents; but soon she mentions Tim name his attitude change.. like boy bye… I’m like you mad-mad but you didn’t have to pull the girl shirt off like that… where she ended up being bare-chested for everybody to see her tits…
I can’t stand Tim or that girl Tori; like sheesh I knew something was going to happen with Tim. & his mouth… that Tori girl didn’t want to lose that bet that’s the only reason she was running her lip to Tim about the bet… Peyton wasn’t using Jay for the bet she didn’t even confirm any dates she had with Jay like the other guys she went with. Tori wack self realizes that too. I hope Peyton doesn’t be cool with her again… UGH just horrible…
Plus, I am irritated at her and how she does her mother. Because her mom is trying to communicate with her. But I believe that if she actually communicates with her idiot dad maybe she could give her mother the help that she actually needs. Especially, with that house being the way it is… I kept getting irritated because I’m like she could do something about that. When her mother around and not seeing that she’s moving things. BUT, that could be hard to especially if her mom gets upset when she even thinking about moving or throwing away a broken umbrella or an old newspaper from 2006.
But in the end, I was glad her mom got the help that she needed. It took Peyton snapping on her to pull herself together for both her and her daughter which I am glad for. Especially that house getting a good cleansing. Not only that I’m not even mad at Jay anymore since he was the one to rip video and pictures of Peyton tits for everyone to see & Peyton for taking up for herself when it happened. Plus, dude I swear it may have been Tim that Rob liked dang flipping; it was actually freaking crazy Zack lol. All the denial and pretend he was doing to and come on to those women. Man; you will never know until you find out the truth. Because there’s a lot of people that hide who they truly are especially with their sexuality. Plus I’m glad; that Peyton went alone to that prom you don’t need a date to have fun and time she still won that BET between her, Steve and Tori…. even if she didn’t go to prom with Rob. I was just glad she brave her tallness and loved herself. But it also good that her dad had called her when that incident happened at the theater performance with her and Jay; I still want to smack him for that it was so embarrassing. But glad in the end; they ended back with each other and both ended up in the colleges “Juilliard and NY School of Fashion (I do wonder if the Fashion school she was attending actually name was “Parsons The New School for Fashion Design” because it’s different ones “Design, Interior, Technology, Arts, Medicine etc” I’m just saying!🤷🏽‍♀️

Book Review:

I liked this book. I already knew that Lane was going to end up liking Trudy and Trudy was going to end up falling for him too. Gabe was a crap pot… Mad because he had gotten turn down, not knowing that Trudy wasn’t even considering him at all. Especially when her sister had Leukemia and was on the verge of dying anytime. She was a shit stain.. on so many levels. But glad that she didn’t let Gabe get to her. Not only that I was glad that Lane finally showed her the truth behind those text messages that Gabe showed her. What a little prick he was. & Randy was dumb too for even considering Gabe to be his friend and wanting to be in the IN CROWD. I figure that Lane was never mean… it’s never good to bully someone because you never know what an individual is going through in their personal life. The proof was in the pudding when it came to both Lane and Trudy both of them was going through things but in different ways. I agree with her sister they both were made for each other. But one thing I was glad for was that Lane did what he did for Trudy sister that was the best gift to give someone when they are sick especially when she was a Packers fan.

But btw that UGH I want to read “Jessica and Christian story so bad :/ can’t wait until it comes out. What torture.

Book Review:

***I didn’t even really add any spoilers; just my little thoughts***

I swear I believe this whole series was based on a kiss. I was annoyed by book three. & also I kept thinking I read this book, but I didn’t I am like this book sounds so familiar to another book I have read the similarities are by far to the same … I wish I could remember which book it was… I know it was some book from last year I read about two teens. But let me see if it is similar once I start to read this book and get into the characters because that description has so many similarities to that one book I had read…

But enough about that let’s talk about Maya and Luke. But before I do I wonder why book five the guy name is Luke and the book six the guy name Lucas… Luke is known for Lucas the short version “nickname” I was confusing by that too …

But other than what I mentioned above, this book was good at one point, but then I got bored and tired of reading because the chapters (it’s was 11 chapters) but the chapters were so long! I was over it by chapter 8. Even though I was over it; I did enjoy Maya and Luke story. ***in the end, this book, wasn’t like the book I have read”** I DID NOT LIKE THIS BOOK PERIOD!!! I am glad I did read this book last because book 5 was actually GOOOD

When an uptight nerd is forced to spend her holiday vacation with a cocky jock…well, let’s just say Christmas at the beach has never been so hot.

With early acceptance to Harvard under her belt and graduation just months away, life is good for Maya Rivero. She’s ready to celebrate Christmas in Mexico with her mother, like every year, leaving behind the Briarwood classmates who’ve never understood her. Archnemesis, captain of the swim team, and all-around arrogant jerk, he’s become more of a nuisance than ever now that her mom has befriended Luke’s newly divorced mother. They’ve become such good friends, in fact, that Maya’s mother feels compelled to invite the entire Perona family to join them on vacation. Including Luke.

Her vacation is ruined with one fateful invite. But when these two polar opposites are forced to spend time together outside the confines of Briarwood High, the truth becomes startlingly clear. They have more in common than they’d thought. In fact…these long-time rivals might even like each other. Each Briarwood High novel is a completely standalone romance and they can be read in any order.

The Candy Cane Kiss (Briarwood High #6) by Maggie Dallen (Author)

This book is actually funny and good! I hate reading Christmas books. But only read them when they are part of a series like this book. & this series has two of them. Bleh! I skip pass book 📖 4 and reading book 5… I’ll go back to book 4 after I read book 5

Book Review:

***Candy Cane had something to do with her stocking “Christmas stocking” …. which was Lucas nickname for her… 🙌🏽

I’m not going to say too much, but this story was cute. I don’t get the Christmas stories. I guess it always has to be one every Christmas when it comes to series. Which sucks. But in the end, this book was still good and interesting enough!

•••***** JUST GOING TO ADD SPOILERS HERE AND THERE******•••

So, Lucas and Lola are two complete opposites. But they both made one another happy. She even him out as well as he did for her. You always need that one person in your life who change you for the better. That was Lucas for Lola and Lola for Lucas. See Eleanor didn’t do that for Lucas, same as he didn’t do it for her. He didn’t care for Eleanor as he did for Lola… he showed feeling for Lola: Even Eleanor and her friend Blake seem to understand and see that his feeling for both girls was different. Lola, I am kind of like her minus the clothing that she wears. She’s a loner and doesn’t care what others think and what they think about her. She has her own mind and do what she wants and sees fit. She was dressing the way she wants and didn’t care that Blake or even Lucas like her style. Up until he learns to LOVE her, her weirdness, and her style. Even Eleanor and Blake began to like her and her style. More so that had something to do with Lucas. Especially when it came to swing dancing… I can’t see myself doing that dance, but it does seem like something fun to do. Especially if you someone that’s a loner., you can go out and meet those who are into the same thing as you. That is what Lola did; even though she had Lucas and his friends with her. I like in the end he finally admitted to her (Lola) that he liked (no LOVE) her and actually wanted to kiss her (not because Eleanor was just there)… and they ended up making the dance into her retro vintage style (as everyone call it “old lady clothing”) …. they ended up accepting her and her style. Which was cool!

Book Description:

Fake kisses shouldn’t taste so sweet.

When the new star quarterback at Briarwood High winds up in the hospital over Christmas break, he’s sure that’s as bad as it can get.
He’s wrong. His day is about to get so much worse. First, he’s stuck with that irritating new girl from school who’s currently dressed as a holly jolly Christmas elf as she volunteers on his floor. Then his ex shows up and asks his permission to bring her new boyfriend to his family’s Christmas party, and then…well, then he makes it all a million times worse by kissing the closest girl at hand, who just happens to be that weirdo candy striper with a penchant for Grandma cardigans and candy-cane striped tights. She also happens to be the only girl at Briarwood who doesn’t like him. He couldn’t have chosen a worse fake girlfriend if he’d tried. So the question is…if this relationship is all wrong, why does it feel so right?

Lola is a self-proclaimed freak and a military brat just waiting to graduate so she can take the first bus out of Briarwood. She’s also more than a little obsessed with all things retro. Including swing dancing. The only problem? Swing dancing requires a partner. Where on earth is she supposed to find a willing dance partner in the sea of conformist mediocrity that is her new high school? Fortunately for her, the arrogant jerk in the hospital bed needs her more than she needs him if he stands any chance of winning back his ex. So yeah, she’ll help him. For a price. But the closer they get, the more she hates the idea of handing him over to his perfect ex, and the more she has to wonder. Will she be the one paying the price…with a broken heart?

Book Review:

Yup, I liked this book it was cute and interesting. I am just going to add well no; I am just going to rate this book a 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star.

•••• There’s a possibility of spoilers in my review•••****

So let me get into why I rate it a 4 star instead of a 5 star. I am going to say because it was 100% great; but a good book. I did like Juliette and Conner story I thought they both were made for one another. Not only that they completed each other; even though they were complete opposites.

Opposites do attract, and I do believe with this series there were plenty of those. They both made each other happy, even Conner sister Gina was delighted that he had Juliette in his life. Without her, I believe that Conner would’ve still held on to his fears especially with getting close to others. Thinking that his mother will move to another state in the USA. & not only that his father had an effect on his worries about people up and leaving him. There’s a lot of understanding when it comes to both Jules and Conner situations.

Book Description:

What can Briarwood’s resident bad boy teach little miss perfect? A lot, actually, since he’s her hot new tutor.

Beloved by her classmates at Briarwood High and newly minted captain of the girls’ basketball team, Juliette’s life is perfect. Except for the fact that she’s one bad grade away from failing. A tutor might help, but that would mean exposing her deep dark secret–she’s not perfect. Far from it. But if word gets out, her team will lose their fearless leader and she’ll lose her stainless reputation. Luckily there’s one name on the list of tutors who has nothing to do with her friends…or anyone else in the school, for that matter. Connor may not have friends, but it turns out there’s a lot he can teach her. And not all of it is on her syllabus. Like how amazing a first kiss can be and how hard and fast two people can fall in love, even when they both know that this secret relationship is all sorts of wrong.

The Briarwood High novels are completely standalone romances that can be read in any order.

Book Review:

All I am going to say is this book was WAY better than book 1 and 2.

It’s a possibility that it will have spoilers in my review.••••

So let me point out that I liked this book; and knew I was going to like it because the description of the book caught my eye.

But anyways, I was glad that Tina didn’t care what her friends though when she was hanging with Julian all the time. & that even his friend Alice and her boyfriend Brian (whose popular and a football player A Whole New League (Briarwood High #2)) didn’t care. They didn’t want Tina, to hurt Julian as Leila did him. I wasn’t even made with Tina when she tries to diss Julian with those remarks she made about him and why she didn’t want to be with him. I knew she actually wanted and liked him as much as he liked her.

The funny and weird thing is that Leila and Alex ended up-dating, in reality, they both deserve each other because they both were the same. I was glad that Julian changed (well no) more so he brought the real Tina out. She was hiding behind the real her when it came to her friends and even her FAMILY. Julian made her smile, be happier, feel special, etc, that is something her friends and Alex couldn’t do for her. Even she made Julian happy more than Leila could’ve done for him. I was glad she also apologize to Veronica too for throwing that drank on her at the party (in the story about Veronica and her guy Drew Remi Out of His League” (Briarwood High #1)) over Alex wack self. She was mean to Veronica in the first book to this series; I couldn’t stand her in book 1, I do believe that she was evil to Alice too in book Two I forgot…. but glad that she became a nice person all because of Julian…

Goodreads Review: The Prom Kiss (Briarwood High Book 5) by Maggie Dallen https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2682933633

40692830

Book Description:

When a mean girl kisses a nice guy, someone is going to get hurt. Or fall in love. Or…maybe both.

Tina Withers doesn’t do nice. When she kisses Julian-the-emo-songwriter-freak to make his cheating ex-girlfriend jealous it’s absolutely not out of the kindness of her heart. She’s only evening the score since he’d not only let her cry on his shoulder after her latest breakup with her jerk of an ex, but he’d kept the whole humiliating incident a secret. Her frenemies would have leaped at the chance to take her down a notch by spilling the gory details of her stockroom meltdown.

So yeah, she owed him one. Besides, a good guy like Julian deserves better than his manipulative, selfish ex. And no matter how hot his kisses might be, he deserves better than her, too. She’s spent a lifetime creating her reputation as the biggest baddie at school, and her crowning glory is in sight as she prepares to claim her throne as Briarwood’s reigning prom queen. It’s too late to change now…isn’t it? Or maybe Julian is right. Maybe a little nice goes a long way when you’re known for being mean.
