This book is actually funny and good! I hate reading Christmas books. But only read them when they are part of a series like this book. & this series has two of them. Bleh! I skip pass book 📖 4 and reading book 5… I’ll go back to book 4 after I read book 5

Book Review:

***Candy Cane had something to do with her stocking “Christmas stocking” …. which was Lucas nickname for her… 🙌🏽

I’m not going to say too much, but this story was cute. I don’t get the Christmas stories. I guess it always has to be one every Christmas when it comes to series. Which sucks. But in the end, this book was still good and interesting enough!

•••***** JUST GOING TO ADD SPOILERS HERE AND THERE******•••

So, Lucas and Lola are two complete opposites. But they both made one another happy. She even him out as well as he did for her. You always need that one person in your life who change you for the better. That was Lucas for Lola and Lola for Lucas. See Eleanor didn’t do that for Lucas, same as he didn’t do it for her. He didn’t care for Eleanor as he did for Lola… he showed feeling for Lola: Even Eleanor and her friend Blake seem to understand and see that his feeling for both girls was different. Lola, I am kind of like her minus the clothing that she wears. She’s a loner and doesn’t care what others think and what they think about her. She has her own mind and do what she wants and sees fit. She was dressing the way she wants and didn’t care that Blake or even Lucas like her style. Up until he learns to LOVE her, her weirdness, and her style. Even Eleanor and Blake began to like her and her style. More so that had something to do with Lucas. Especially when it came to swing dancing… I can’t see myself doing that dance, but it does seem like something fun to do. Especially if you someone that’s a loner., you can go out and meet those who are into the same thing as you. That is what Lola did; even though she had Lucas and his friends with her. I like in the end he finally admitted to her (Lola) that he liked (no LOVE) her and actually wanted to kiss her (not because Eleanor was just there)… and they ended up making the dance into her retro vintage style (as everyone call it “old lady clothing”) …. they ended up accepting her and her style. Which was cool!

Book Description:

Fake kisses shouldn’t taste so sweet.

When the new star quarterback at Briarwood High winds up in the hospital over Christmas break, he’s sure that’s as bad as it can get.
He’s wrong. His day is about to get so much worse. First, he’s stuck with that irritating new girl from school who’s currently dressed as a holly jolly Christmas elf as she volunteers on his floor. Then his ex shows up and asks his permission to bring her new boyfriend to his family’s Christmas party, and then…well, then he makes it all a million times worse by kissing the closest girl at hand, who just happens to be that weirdo candy striper with a penchant for Grandma cardigans and candy-cane striped tights. She also happens to be the only girl at Briarwood who doesn’t like him. He couldn’t have chosen a worse fake girlfriend if he’d tried. So the question is…if this relationship is all wrong, why does it feel so right?

Lola is a self-proclaimed freak and a military brat just waiting to graduate so she can take the first bus out of Briarwood. She’s also more than a little obsessed with all things retro. Including swing dancing. The only problem? Swing dancing requires a partner. Where on earth is she supposed to find a willing dance partner in the sea of conformist mediocrity that is her new high school? Fortunately for her, the arrogant jerk in the hospital bed needs her more than she needs him if he stands any chance of winning back his ex. So yeah, she’ll help him. For a price. But the closer they get, the more she hates the idea of handing him over to his perfect ex, and the more she has to wonder. Will she be the one paying the price…with a broken heart?

Book Review:

Yup, I liked this book it was cute and interesting. I am just going to add well no; I am just going to rate this book a 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star.

•••• There’s a possibility of spoilers in my review•••****

So let me get into why I rate it a 4 star instead of a 5 star. I am going to say because it was 100% great; but a good book. I did like Juliette and Conner story I thought they both were made for one another. Not only that they completed each other; even though they were complete opposites.

Opposites do attract, and I do believe with this series there were plenty of those. They both made each other happy, even Conner sister Gina was delighted that he had Juliette in his life. Without her, I believe that Conner would’ve still held on to his fears especially with getting close to others. Thinking that his mother will move to another state in the USA. & not only that his father had an effect on his worries about people up and leaving him. There’s a lot of understanding when it comes to both Jules and Conner situations.

Book Description:

What can Briarwood’s resident bad boy teach little miss perfect? A lot, actually, since he’s her hot new tutor.

Beloved by her classmates at Briarwood High and newly minted captain of the girls’ basketball team, Juliette’s life is perfect. Except for the fact that she’s one bad grade away from failing. A tutor might help, but that would mean exposing her deep dark secret–she’s not perfect. Far from it. But if word gets out, her team will lose their fearless leader and she’ll lose her stainless reputation. Luckily there’s one name on the list of tutors who has nothing to do with her friends…or anyone else in the school, for that matter. Connor may not have friends, but it turns out there’s a lot he can teach her. And not all of it is on her syllabus. Like how amazing a first kiss can be and how hard and fast two people can fall in love, even when they both know that this secret relationship is all sorts of wrong.

The Briarwood High novels are completely standalone romances that can be read in any order.

Book Review:

All I am going to say is this book was WAY better than book 1 and 2.

It’s a possibility that it will have spoilers in my review.••••

So let me point out that I liked this book; and knew I was going to like it because the description of the book caught my eye.

But anyways, I was glad that Tina didn’t care what her friends though when she was hanging with Julian all the time. & that even his friend Alice and her boyfriend Brian (whose popular and a football player A Whole New League (Briarwood High #2)) didn’t care. They didn’t want Tina, to hurt Julian as Leila did him. I wasn’t even made with Tina when she tries to diss Julian with those remarks she made about him and why she didn’t want to be with him. I knew she actually wanted and liked him as much as he liked her.

The funny and weird thing is that Leila and Alex ended up-dating, in reality, they both deserve each other because they both were the same. I was glad that Julian changed (well no) more so he brought the real Tina out. She was hiding behind the real her when it came to her friends and even her FAMILY. Julian made her smile, be happier, feel special, etc, that is something her friends and Alex couldn’t do for her. Even she made Julian happy more than Leila could’ve done for him. I was glad she also apologize to Veronica too for throwing that drank on her at the party (in the story about Veronica and her guy Drew Remi Out of His League” (Briarwood High #1)) over Alex wack self. She was mean to Veronica in the first book to this series; I couldn’t stand her in book 1, I do believe that she was evil to Alice too in book Two I forgot…. but glad that she became a nice person all because of Julian…

Book Description:

When a mean girl kisses a nice guy, someone is going to get hurt. Or fall in love. Or…maybe both.

Tina Withers doesn’t do nice. When she kisses Julian-the-emo-songwriter-freak to make his cheating ex-girlfriend jealous it’s absolutely not out of the kindness of her heart. She’s only evening the score since he’d not only let her cry on his shoulder after her latest breakup with her jerk of an ex, but he’d kept the whole humiliating incident a secret. Her frenemies would have leaped at the chance to take her down a notch by spilling the gory details of her stockroom meltdown.

So yeah, she owed him one. Besides, a good guy like Julian deserves better than his manipulative, selfish ex. And no matter how hot his kisses might be, he deserves better than her, too. She’s spent a lifetime creating her reputation as the biggest baddie at school, and her crowning glory is in sight as she prepares to claim her throne as Briarwood’s reigning prom queen. It’s too late to change now…isn’t it? Or maybe Julian is right. Maybe a little nice goes a long way when you’re known for being mean.

Book Review:

I didn’t like this book. I mean it was interesting enough to read. But it wasn’t my cup of tea. I like a book where I cannot stop reading I will want more of it, that have you at the edge of your seat (at a football or basketball game) it didn’t pull me in. Though I did wanted to read this book to see what was going to happen… I did like some parts in the book, but that was it! I am not sure I will read the others to this series.
