My High School Christmas Boyfriend (Boyfriend #1) by Kylie Key

I like reading a book that can keep my interest. I’m almost finish reading this book. I do wonder if there will be a third book. Since this the first book and I already read the second one!

Book Review:

This was a great read interesting how they met. 🙃

Spoilers? Hmm maybe? Let’s see! There could be a lot of splashes 💦 here and there. 💦📖

I liked this book. I don’t think I would’ve ended up disappointed when I did start reading this book. Because for one, when I first started, the book caught my attention, and I didn’t want to stop reading because I wanted to know what will happen next.

Not only that, but I was also glad that Rylee found well more so Aiden randomly popped up at her house unexpectedly. Though neither of them knew that (Aiden was going to show up, though he brought his sister Krystal there for the Christmas lights and decorations) whereas Rylee spotted him outside of her street in front of her house.

But the only bad thing about when they saw each other again. Her aunt was horrible towards Aiden and his little sister, who has a disability. I wouldn’t say I liked it one bit. I like that Rylee put some sense into her aunt’s head because I think she needed to hear what Rylee thought. Plus, Rylee was ignoring her too. But what I did like was the apology that Rylee’s aunt gave Aiden about what she said about them both especially his sister. Because of how she was feeling when it came to her son that was talking from her, who also had a disability who didn’t live long and died at four months. That was just sad.

I did like that Rylee’s aunt invited Aiden and Krystal over to make Rylee Christmas better. Since technically she did ruin it and also her parents weren’t coming until later because of the weather. But she (Rylee aunt) invited Aiden’s parents and grandparents over, which was good. Rylee’s parents finally came, and they liked his mom’s candles, which was a good thing. Because I thought she could make a living off of selling candles.

It also sucked about his dad, but I also thought disabilities and health issues might run in his family. Which so sad, especially with his sister. But I thought she was adorable. 😍

My High School Fake Boyfriend (The Boyfriend Series, #2) by Kylie Key

This book is actually pretty good. First time I ever read a book. Where the guy didn’t know everything was FAKE!

Book Review:

Spoilers.. thrown here and there in this review…
I read this book in like one day. Though I finish it at 1 am close to 2 am… this book I liked it. It was different, especially when it came to Peyton, not knowing about being a FAKE date for Mattie.

I felt bad for him; only reason he found out was because of Josh. Though I think Josh hated on him. & wanted to make him feel bad about himself and have him thinking Mattie didn’t like him. She only wanted to use him to make “Josh” jealous.

When that is the TRUTH of it all, but Mattie ended up falling in like with Peyton at the homecoming dance. She didn’t care about Josh. After that, it was more so about Peyton. Even when she got her phone taken away from her, she was trying to find him. But what ends up happening was Peyton finding out the truth from her best friend, Bella.

I understood why Bella told Peyton; I would’ve too. I did felt bad for him. I also thought, 9/10, he probably was a handsome boy even though he had the “port-wine birthmark” from birth. People can be harsh and mean. I understood how he was kind of hesitant about certain things that were happening.

I also know her dad was going to like him since Peyton, a Bears fan..🤣 & her (Mattie) mom and brothers going to like him too. I wanted to see if and when he meet her parents and brothers, but that never happened in the book. But it was interesting to learn who Katrina was 🤷🏽‍♀️… and I see why his uncle Luke knew things that were going on in school since Katrina was Mattie volleyball coach. & wind up -dating Peyton Uncle Luke…. very interesting and Peyton learning who Katrina was, was priceless.

But one thing I can say I was freaking died laughing at the part about the burnt pizza that her brothers tried to make… that was the funniest part of the book. I cracked up so hard at that. & Mattie said she tried to laugh at what happened, but tbh I would’ve died laughing. Even though my mom would’ve been fussing and me ending up grounded. But Mattie holds her laughter, though!!!

Btw: I can’t wait to read the first book to this series I think it’s a Christmas book. I can’t remember 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️… but not only that, I can’t wait for the next two books to come out about Bella – “My High School Billionaire Boyfriend” and Tanchia, “My High School Quarterback Boyfriend”… I’m going to be on the lookout for those books.

Something New by Amanda Abram

Currently reading “Something New” & hoping Cassie (the girl who has the same name as me “Cassandra”) doesn’t go back to her cheating ex-boyfriend.

Book Review:

It was definitely something new going on even something BETTER!!

Will there be spoilers? Maybe who knows until this review is written.

Okay, I would like to start and say that Elijah was trash for thinking that Cassie was going to take him back so fast. Not only that, make things into a joke, especially when he didn’t run behind Cassie when he was caught kissing his ex-girlfriend Hannah. It was Dylan who chased Cassie. Not only that, but it was also other situations between him and Cassie that he didn’t run behind her. It was always Dylan who did.

I couldn’t understand how he thought nothing was going to become of their (Cassie and Dylan) relationship. Especially when they were always together and looking out for each other.

What made it worse he didn’t want Cassie like he thought he did. For him to ruin his friendship and get mad at both Dylan and Cassie was a waste of time. Because of one, Cassie knew that he was still in LOVE with Hannah and knew that their relationship was going to end eventually. Which I agree on because he acted all shocked about getting caught kissing Hannah.

Then on top of that, he fought Dylan over Cassie for nothing when he still was in love with Hannah. If he wanted Cassie, he would’ve traded with Dylan when they had picked names out of the bucked during class. But Cassandra learned the truth behind the name picking.

Elijah didn’t want to trade Dylan; he wanted to stay partners with Hannah, whereas his best friend ended up partners with Cassandra. Like everyone else, I, too, thought that Dylan was a good match for her. She and Elijah weren’t fit for one another. Because in the back of Cassie’s mind, Elijah would’ve always had feelings for Hannah and wanted to be with her.

Heck, I figured that the before Cassie even mentioned it and even the proof where Dylan told Cassie when he learned his true feelings for her. Was when she was sitting on Elijah’s car, staring at Elijah watching Hannah in a bindi and being around Hannah and her friends all day. It was Dylan who went and kept her company until Elijah finally figured out who his actual girlfriend was.

In the end, I was glad that Elijah came to his senses after Cassie told him off to where he learned the truth of what she felt and where his feelings were at. Plus, he got the stick out of his behind when he learned that his best friend was moving away, which did it for him. Because he knew he didn’t want to lose his best friend.

I was glad all three of them work things out with each other and stayed friends, especially Dylan and Elijah! Dylan and Cassie ended up getting back together, and Dylan also got his friends back.

Though I still say that they weren’t his friends, I mean NOT one was a TRUE friend, they all sided with Elijah over Dylan, which was wack in my opinion.

They felt like just cause Elijah cheated, they will take his side over Dylan, who ended up being there for the ONE girl that Elijah hurt the most!

Book Description:

Cassie Briggs never thought she’d be married at age sixteen—especially not to Dylan Meyers, her boyfriend’s best friend. Of course, they’re not married for real. It’s just a project for their Life Economics class, where each student is randomly paired up to manage finances, make important life decisions, and deal with catastrophic events.

It was supposed to be an easy A, but now Cassie is not so sure. Getting paired with Dylan is bad enough, but then Cassie’s boyfriend Elijah gets paired with his ex-girlfriend, Hannah: the former childhood sweetheart who broke his heart. The girl who took him months to get over—if he’s ever gotten over her at all.

When the project leads to inevitable heartbreak for Cassie, she begins to find comfort in the most unexpected place: her pretend husband…her now-ex-boyfriend’s best friend…the last guy in the world she should be growing closer to. And as Elijah vows to stop at nothing to win back Cassie’s heart—despite being the one to break it—Cassie soon finds herself facing her own important life decision: does she want to give Elijah a second chance? Or could she be ready for something new?

The Wrong Prom Date (The Wrong Match Book 3) by Alexandra Moody

Ohh I can’t until she learns his true feelings! & who really wrote that poem…

Book Review:

Really Good!!!

^*Spoilers? Maybe a possibility!!

I was excited to read this book; I actually couldn’t wait to read it because I wanted to see what happened when it came to Hayley and Ethan. I also was wondering why Teagen wasn’t brought up in this book a lot the way Hayley was brought up in the other two books. Heck, even Evan wasn’t brought up that much in Hayley’s book either.

Other than that, it was good. Kept me wanting to read more. I was glad that Hayley didn’t fall for Owen bull-crap, and finally figured out what type of person he was. I mean, everybody was telling her how Owen was, and she finally saw his TRUE colors. & realize how amazing Ethan was after she fell for him though she was blinded by who Ethan liked. I mean, his best friend Isla was giving her so many clues as to who Ethan wanted, but clearly, Hayley couldn’t figure it out. Even after they broke up (fake relationship), she still thought Ethan liked some other girl (Laurie), and only time she knew he wanted her was when they were on the way to prom, and he had candles lit. But he had to tell her who the girl was.

Which was her. Smh! I was glad she figured it out and understood which brother she needed to be with. But what I wanted to happen was him telling her who that poem was written about in seventh grade.

Book Description:

Can a fake relationship land her the prom date of her dreams?

Hayley Lawson had no chance of getting a date to prom. Thanks to a rumor gone wrong, the boys at school were all convinced she was only interested in dating college guys. She certainly wasn’t holding her breath waiting for someone to ask her to the big dance.

But, when her long-time crush returns to town, Hayley’s hopes of landing her dream date suddenly reignite. Owen Beck was everything she ever wanted in a guy, but after years of waiting, she couldn’t rely on fate alone to bring them together. If she wanted to go to prom with him, she was going to have to put her heart on the line and ask him herself. Her promposal doesn’t exactly go to plan though, and when Owen’s twin swoops in to ‘save’ her, she ends up in the arms of the wrong brother.

She might still have a chance with Owen though. Ethan knows his brother better than anyone, and he seems to think a bit of good old fashioned jealousy might just get Owen to ask Hayley to the prom himself.

A few weeks faking a relationship shouldn’t be too hard. After all, Ethan is nothing compared to Owen. Right?

Misadventures with a Master: A Misadventures Novella by Meredith Wild, Mia Michelle

This cracks me up because it’s ‘light’ (tiny)… but I love the fact that I got all the books to the Misadventures series.

Master. That’s what they call him.

I’ve spent my life in a cage, cloistered by politics and social maneuvering. A prisoner to expectation. Yet I’d give anything to be a certain man’s slave.

Now he’s all I can think about. I can’t breathe until he makes me his. Except he won’t take me until he breaks me. And I’m not an easy submissive to break.

The Wrong Costar (The Wrong Match #2) by Alexandra Moody

Currently reading… “The Wrong Co-Star” ….. I’m at 48/100 in my reading challenge. Though it’s a lot of books I want to read that I am trying to get around to reading. This is one of them.

Book Review:

Spoilers? The possibility there’s spoilers listed!!
So okay! This book was as good as the first book. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I knew that both Teagan and Liam were going to end up falling for one another.

Not only that, I felt that Teagan was mean to Liam and didn’t give him the chance to show her who he was. She judged him based on what she saw on the blogs, news, magazines, etc. She learns he was a nice person when he saved her from those guys who were fighting in front of her.

I was glad she stopped being mean to him. Because he wasn’t mean to her, I think he was doing things to get attention from her. Plus, she had a stick up her behind because of what was going on with her mom.

When it comes to her mom, I was glad that she talked some sense into her mother. & her mother finally figured out that she needed help. Not only her mother, Liam finally sticking it to his mother. What I realize a lot of times teenagers and children who are thirteen and younger parents control their lives and also become money hungry when their child becomes a star (actress). I don’t even understand half the time why children or even teens look for their parents to become their managers. Half the time, the parents can be evil and controlling. I was glad that it took what that director Jake? 😢 I think that was his name 😩🤣 I don’t know how I forgot. But it took for that guy to talk some sense into Liam for him to stick it to his mother. & I was glad.

Because Liam went ahead and did the play and didn’t ruin it for Teagan and the other castmates she in drama class with, at least he (Liam) was committed, and Jake (the director) understood and didn’t fired Liam from the movie. He gave Teagan a position in the film, which was GREAT!

I can’t wait to read the story with her best friend, Hayley.

Book Description:

When Teagan lands the lead in her school play, the last thing she expected was for Hollywood heartthrob and notorious bad-boy Liam Black to be cast as her costar. The whole school is buzzing with his arrival, but she couldn’t be more annoyed. How can she possibly shine on stage when the limelight is focused entirely on him?

Liam might be at Lincoln High to prepare for his next movie role, but just because he can act doesn’t mean he’s the perfect guy for the part. He’s got a bad reputation. He doesn’t take their play seriously. And, worst of all, he and Teagan can’t stand each other.

They’ll have to learn to work together if they want the play to be a success, but the more time they spend together the harder it is to ignore the sparks flying between them on stage.

Good chemistry is just a part of acting though. Teagan and Liam are only pretending. Right?

This book is a full length, standalone romance.

Misadventures in the Cage (Misadventures) by Sarah Robinson

So far it’s actually good…

Book Review:

**Spoilers? There’s a possibility that it will be a lot!!!

I can say I liked this one way better than the Firefighter one. I finish this one fast. I can say like one-two days.

With that being said, I would like to point out that I understood both Callan and Josie’s parts on the breakup. But I was not too fond of the fact that Josie thought it was okay for her to up and leave Callan on the day of the fight between her brother (Xavier) and Callan. But when he does it (well technically; he didn’t want to break up only wanted to do long distance even though he didn’t want to). It was her pushing him (Callan) away again. Like this was so typical for her when it came to him. She blamed him the second time around, forgetting Michelle pregnant. Like it was ridiculous because, for one, she left him when he didn’t want her too. & plus Josie knew that Michelle and Callan weren’t in a serious relationship. It was only, but there careers.

Plus, you could tell Callan didn’t want no Michelle. She wasn’t right for him. Especially how she reacted to certain things. Though she wanted something more with him. I was glad when Josie came to her senses and realized when she got that offer for a television show in California that she made mistakes. With running away from her feelings and not telling Callan how she felt about him. When the whole time, he proves to her how he felt about her. Even when he had to stay in California when he learned about Michelle being pregnant by him, you could tell that he got her pregnant during the time both he and Michelle was drunk. A lot of times, that happens to people (in real life I know to people in my family that happened to 🤣).

But like I was saying, I was glad she came to her senses and went to work things out with Callan when she moved to California. Because she knew she still had a feeling for him and vise versa. Plus, it was good that she accepted his daughter Alice by the model Michele. Not only that, she (Josie) ended up pregnant in the end with Callan, son. That was also good for them both, plus getting married. Though she asked him; not only that her (Josie) and Michelle worked things out with each other for the sake of Alice…

Btw: But I still can’t get over the fact that they bonded over burying a sex doll in the desert.🤣

P.S. Though, I was wondering what her race was being the author was saying something down the line like “creamy brown skin”, “dark brown skin.” I’m like he’s (Callan) is Irish, what in the world is Josie?… I was okay. She not black, but maybe she’s a Kim Kardarisan skin color, I reckon, I mean someone who’s not white are those who have brown or dark skin.. unless you, get yourself a tan...

Dating the Quarterback (The Bet Duet #2) by Maggie Dallen

Currently reading book 2,…

Book Review:

Spoilers? Yes? Maybe? Who knows it a possibility of it!!!

I will say this when you were reading book 1… I was soooo ready to read book 2.. but after I started reading book 2. I was like, ehhh… it’s okay… I can say this book 1 was good and better, in my opinion.

I can’t pinpoint what I feel about Harley because she was kind of a complainer, annoying, a little whinny. I mean Both Tristan and Conner told her something that she needed to hear. Since I thought she was better. No the more popular people were somewhat better or had a life better.

Which she didn’t realize since Tristan was going through something even though he was popular. Even Rosalie, Harley realize Tristan liked her after he didn’t want anything to do with her.. once he stops coming around. I said to myself it took her long enough to stop being whiny and complaining about what some person who didn’t deserve her at her old school done to her.

I think if she was at her old school, yeah, she definitely should’ve been more cautious of what someone wanted from her. But you could tell Tristan cared about her since everything that he did for her that showed her he wanted and cared about her.

In the end, I was glad they made, and she figured out what she wanted. Not only her Tristan realize that he could also have love and live his life. Without having so much on his shoulders.

Book Description:

Harley lost the bet and now it’s time to pay up. This loner will have to face her greatest fear…and say yes to a date with the quarterback.

After years of being bullied and ignored at her old school, Harley isn’t about to make waves at Talmore High. She knows better than to mess with the cocky jerks on the football team. When the lead alpha starts to single her out she’s sure that it’s just a joke at her expense. There’s no way he could really be interested in a geeky art nerd like her. After all, Tristan isn’t just a quarterback, he’s larger than life. He’s the school’s most revered athlete, the guy all the girls drool over. He might as well be a superhero in disguise. An ancient god come back to live among mere mortals…

The guy was basically Thor.

But the more she gets to know him, the more she has to wonder just how wrong she’s been about the guy she’d thought was an untouchable god among men. Maybe he wasn’t what she’d thought at all. Wonders of wonders, the handsome hottie quarterback might just be…nice. And somehow that’s the scariest thought of all. A jerk she could handle. But a good guy? He might just be the one to break her heart.

Author’s Note: This is the second part of a duet. While this romance is standalone, it’s filled with spoilers for book one.

Charming the Cheerleader (The Bet Duet #1) by Maggie Dallen

I’m on the last chapter of “charming the cheerleader” by @mag_dallen … but I’m more than ready to read the second book! Because I wanted to read the 2nd one more lol… this one was good though!

Book Review:

**Spoilers?…. not so much!!!
Okay, so this book was good. More so wanted to read this book. But wanted to read book two more. With his (Conner) stepsister Harley…

With that being said. I wasn’t disappointed when I was reading this book. I already knew it was going to be good. & also thought it took the right person to understand Rosalie and why she seems like the ice queen. Being say makes people think your something you not. Plus her ex Danny was horrible anyways for spreading rumors about her being an ice queen etc…

At least Conner got to know her and understood that she had felt like everyone else. But I think he comes into that school was hilarious because you look at it he didn’t care what people thought of him even when he wanted to become popular again and be known with the ladies etc…

But I liked how he came to realize that is what he used to be in his old school wasn’t all that it was. Plus, both he and Rosalie help each other out. I also agreed with his stepsister about how he could become a chef and go into culinary arts… especially since he enjoyed cooking and not only that music.

Also, I was glad he didn’t let that bet (challenge) on for too long, and Rosalie accepted her feelings for him and understood that Conner cared for and understood her unlike Danny ever did…

Book Description:

Will the new guy in school be the one to win the bet and thaw the ice queen? Maybe. But only if he doesn’t fall for her first.

Conner and his stepsister are new to town, new to Talmore High, and very new to this whole step-sibling situation. As of three weeks ago they were only children…and now? Well, now their parents’ newly wedded bliss is wreaking havoc with both of their lives.

Not that Conner is worried. He might be the new kid but he’s never had a problem being the big man on campus. Until now. No one at this school seems to have gotten the memo that he’s beloved. The girls aren’t swooning and the guys are looking for any excuse to kick his butt back to California. When his stepsister throws out the challenge, it’s a no brainer. If he can make head cheerleader Rosalie “The Ice Queen” Farlow fall at this feet, he’ll have it all.

But then again, if he wins the bet…he’ll lose her. And what’s the use of having it all if he loses the only thing that matters?

Author’s Note: Though this is the first book of a duet, the romance is standalone and features a satisfying, swoonworthy HEA. The timelines of these two books intersect, however, so be sure to read book one first to avoid any spoilers!
