Book Review:

Awesome book

Challenge Accepted…

Was actually a really funny good book.

I was not disappointed at all. The author truly had my attention from beginning to end, I love when an author can actually do that and I don’t get bored in the middle of the book wishing that it can be over already.

••••. spoilers. •••• Just a few…•••

So okay, in my opinion, I understood what.. no, I realized why Emma was mad with Logan about how he treated her since they were little kids. But if you think about it, I believe he actually did like her that’s why he always was picking on her. Once they began to get older; when you were told to apologize to Emma and all the time they were spending together they ended up falling in love with each other; which in the end; was giving them their true feelings for each other since they were kids. Even their parents; Sophia wanted them together lol! But they hated each other so much they couldn’t see that they were falling in like with each other. But the funniest of them all was Logan, it was hilarious when he was trying to deny his feelings for Emma; not when he was rude when Grace recorded him. But when done things he couldn’t believe he said or done; among other things. Everyone could see that he wanted Emma except him it was hilarious; because deep down he knew he wanted her and visa versa for her.

Book Description:

Emma Dawson and Logan Reynolds have been neighbors and enemies for as long as either one can remember. Despite the fact their BFF fathers have been encouraging them their whole lives to be friends, they’ve managed to avoid each other at all costs. Emma thinks Logan is a callous jerk who cares about nobody but himself. Logan thinks Emma is a stuck-up goody-two-shoes with no life. The two couldn’t be any more different…which is why Emma is so confused when the Emerson High Computer Club’s “Summer Fling Compatibility Test” concludes they’re a perfect match.

But Logan’s not confused. He lied on the test to make his “sometimes girlfriend” think they’re not meant to be and now Emma is furious that he made her lose out on the chance of having a swoony summer romance with the perfect guy. Forced by his stepmother to make it up to her, Logan decides to help her win the heart of her lifelong crush: his best friend, Matt.

He knows how much of a challenge this will be. Matt is good-looking, popular and outgoing. Emma is quiet, bookwormish, and scared of everything. However, Logan is convinced that with some major tweaking, he can transform Emma into someone Matt could fall for. But as the summer heats up, so does their budding friendship… and soon, they may be faced with the biggest challenge of all: falling for each other.

New Tricks Goodreads Giveaway Review:

See that’s what I love when an author actually goes out of there way and take the time out to talk to someone about the job that their characters in the book have. I like how this author actually did that with this book by going to the animal hospital and made sure She got the veterinarian thing down packed. Awesome awesome. This even makes me more curious about this particular job, but I do love zoology and Wildlife Biologist.

But any-who before I begin this review. I would like to state that I have won this Kindle edition of “New Tricks” by “Kelly Moran” through the Goodreads giveaway. I will be leaving an honest review.

Funny how a guy could go his whole life knowing someone and never truly see them.<<< this fact is actually true.

This book was really good I was not disappointed at all. But I did felt like it was a drag; though I believe it has something to do with me being in school having to read and finish this book along with my classes.

I enjoyed Zoe and Drake story. Though, glad for a happy ending between two friends. But I’m real life, sometimes dating your best friend will mess up a friendship, this happens to plenty especially those I know.

I was hoping Zoe would become pregnant in the end but, Drake asked to marry her which I thought was very cute.

Between, Zoe kind of got on my nerves because she kept running from everything because she didn’t want to hurt Drake which I thought was ridiculous right along with Drake. But glad she came to her senses in the end.

Book Description:

Loving someone is something you never forget how to do . . .

Zoe Hornsby has enough on her plate. Her pet grooming business tucked inside her friends’ veterinarian clinic is busy, and all her free time outside of work is dedicated to caring for her mother’s ailing mind. Dating is certainly not on her agenda. For all she cares, the town gossips of Redwood Ridge, Oregon, can set their matchmaking sights on someone else. Because no way would she consider sexy veterinarian Drake O’Grady her perfect guy. Once upon a time, she may have harbored a little crush, but he’d only had eyes for her best friend. And the crazy attraction building between her and Drake now? Down boy, down.

After Drake lost his wife to cancer, he’s finally clawed his way out of grief and beginning to feel more like a part of the human race. But he’s appalled to learn his prying family thinks he’s ready to jump in the dating pool. And the woman they thrust at him couldn’t be more inappropriate. As his dead wife’s best friend, Zoe is off limits. Even if they seem to share a common sadness, she is too potent a personality to get romantically tangled with. Yet she’s making his heart beat and blood roar like he never thought it could again. And he doesn’t want to just exist anymore . . .
