Book Review:

A New York kind of love

This is REALLLLLLLY long book. But it seem interesting, it had me curious as to what was going on though I didn’t know what half the stuff meant inside of the book like Charlie. Then halfway through the book, I understood the meaning behind it and what it meant. Also, I kept saying Dheep? Then I realize this book is about the actual author and her life.

I had won this book through Goodreads giveaway for an honest review from the author.

His eyes gripped my soul. I love the way he’s looking at me…

Friday morning, 3am

Everyone has left.

JJ just left to meet her Tinder hookup.

Fi and the rest of her crew left an hour ago for an afterparty, at her restaurant in the Upper East Side.

And here I am.

Snorting Charlie.

On my lonesome.

Poor Little Tommy but it’s adorable

I had won this ebook of Tommy O’Tom in a Tub O’Trouble. Through the Goodreads giveaway. I won like to thank author J.T.K Belle, for this book.

My niece and the younger children enjoyed this book. I thought this was a cute little book for children 7 and younger. This was definitely funny and will have the children laughing not only the children but adults too.

In this charming bedtime read-aloud, written by JTK Belle in a laugh-out-loud, rhythmic text, and beautifully-illustrated by Mike Motz, a bathtub full of mischievous zoo animals does their best to thwart Tommy O’Tom’s bedtime preparations, and leave him to explain a bathroom mess to his puzzled mother. An illustrated big-sister’s guide to activism—the perfect gift for young feminists and long-time observers looking to enter the fray.

Have recent events given you pause? Does Trump’s America make you fearful for the future of women? Do you want to become more involved in helping to preserve women’s rights but aren’t sure how? In A Girl’s Guide to Joining the Resistance, Emma Rose Gray, Executive Editor at The Huffington Post, outlines all that young women need to know on pivotal women’s rights issues and offers a blueprint for those who want to take a stand and participate in the cause.

This groundbreaking book includes:

• Background information on key issues so you can choose where you most want to take a stand.

• A guide for learning about the first Amendment and how to choose good news sources and make sure you’re getting quality information.

• Practical instructions on how to get involved and stay involved, with examples from the author’s own experience organizing the successful “Watch Us Run” conference.

• Instructions for how to talk to your friend who says she’s “just not that political” and your relatives whose beliefs conflict with your own.

• Advice for self-care and how to stay involved without exhausting yourself.

• Extensive back-matter including numbers to call, organizations to email and donate to, and scripts for reaching out to representatives and organizations.

• Interviews with experienced activists including senator Elizabeth Warren, actress Amber Tamblyn, actress Marlo Thomas, Women’s March Co-Chair Carmen Perez, Mother of the Movement Lucy McBath, Black Lives Matter creator Alicia Garza, People for Bernie Founder Winnie Wong, and former assistant to President Obama Tina Tchen.

Featuring original 2-color illustrations throughout by New York Magazine’s Eva Hill, A Girl’s Guide to Joining the Resistance illuminates why the time has never been more important than now to get involved in helping to ensure women’s rights are protected for the current and future generations of women.

Book Review:

Every little kiss is worth the risk if you find love in the end

This book was good. Has he ending “Paxton said that’s Mens bullseye get to sleep with me. I believe if it wasn’t for Ford Paxton wouldn’t have talked much, because Pax spoke a lot more with the help of Ford and bullseye. I knew that well was hoping Liv forgave Ford for his white lie… I need a guy like Ford ❤ Jesus where he’s at (looking) anyways.

I won this book through good reads I usually don’t get right to the books I won because I am reading other books. But I’m glad I have gotten around to reading this book and happy I won this book. I will also read other books by this author whenever I get a chance.

Hopefully, it’s ones about Liv friends (I see book 1 is about Avery I plan to read that real soon. Hopefully, one about Grace comes soon.)

Book Review:

There’s nothing that single mom Liv Preston won’t do if it means making her six-year-old son smile again. After a heartbreaking two years, her little family is due for some fun in the sun. She just didn’t expect to find it in the big, rugged, Search and Rescue hero next door—who shows her just how exciting, and sexy, life’s adventures can be.

As head of Reno’s K-9 search division, Ford Jamison knows what it takes to make life-and-death decisions on the fly. He doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t do regrets, and has never doubted his instincts—until he makes a promise that turns his world upside down. Desperate for redemption, he returns to Sequoia Lake, only to find himself face-to-face with his past…and the one woman he can’t have. Not when his secret would destroy her—and everything she holds dear.

For Liv, finding love once was a gift. Finding it twice seems impossible, until the moment Ford’s lips meet hers. Love doesn’t always come easy, but when it’s right, it’s worth fighting for…

Description:

The inimitable Faith Fairchild returns in a chilling New England whodunit, inspired by the best Agatha Christie mysteries and with hints of the timeless board game Clue.

For most of her adult life, resourceful caterer Faith Fairchild has called the sleepy Massachusetts village of Aleford home. While the native New Yorker has come to know the region well, she isn’t familiar with Havencrest, a privileged enclave, until the owner of Rowan House, a secluded sprawling Arts and Crafts mansion, calls her about catering a weekend house party.

Producer/director of a string of hit musicals, Max Dane—a Broadway legend—is throwing a lavish party to celebrate his seventieth birthday. At the house, as they discuss the event, Faith’s client makes a startling confession. “I didn’t hire you for your cooking skills, fine as they may be, but for your sleuthing ability. You see, one of the guests wants to kill me.”

Faith’s only clue is an ominous birthday gift the man received the week before—an empty casket sent anonymously containing a twenty-year-old Playbill from Max’s last, and only failed, production—Heaven or Hell. Consequently, Max has drawn his guest list for the party from the cast and crew. As the guests begin to arrive one by one, and an ice storm brews overhead, Faith must keep one eye on the menu and the other on her host to prevent his birthday bash from becoming his final curtain call.

Full of delectable recipes, brooding atmosphere, and Faith’s signature biting wit, The Body in the Casket is a delightful thriller that echoes the beloved mysteries of Agatha Christie and classic films such as Murder by Death and Deathtrap.

Nico Storm and his father, Willem, drive a truck filled with essential supplies through a desolate land. They are among the few in the world, as far as they know, to have survived a devastating virus that has swept over the planet. Their lives turned upside down, Nico realizes that his superb marksmanship and cool head mean he is destined to be his father’s protector, even though he is still only a boy.

Willem Storm, though not a fighter, is both a thinker and a leader, a wise and compassionate man with a vision for a new community that survivors will rebuild from the ruins. And so Amanzi is founded, drawing Storm’s “homeless and tempest-tost”—starting with Melinda Swanevelder, whom they rescue from brutal thugs; Hennie Fly, with his vital Cessna plane; Beryl Fortuin and her ragtag group of orphans; and Domingo, the man with the tattooed hand, whom Nico immediately recognizes as someone you want on your side. And then Sofia Bergman arrives, the most beautiful girl Nico has ever seen, who changes everything.

So the community grows, and with each step forward, as resources increase, so do the challenges they must face—not just from the attacks of biker brigands, but also from within. Nico undergoes an extraordinary rite of passage in this brand new world, testing his loyalty to the limits. Looking back later in life, he recounts the traumatic events that led to the greatest rupture of all—the murder of the person he loves most.
