Crushing on My Brothers’ Best Friend (Sweet Water High Book 2) by Julia Keanini

I thought I posted this book, didn’t realize it wasn’t on here. I’m 84% done. This is 1 out of the five books I’m reading. That I need to finish. 🥀

Book Review:

Okay

Let’s see this book was cute… let’s see will there be any spoilers once I start writing.

So okay, like I said this book was actually cute. Then the last chapter the “Epilogue” I was like ugh hurry up already I was ready to finish for some reason. But anyways I thought the story was cute. I assume that she Emmy was going to be sneaking around with Ky and her brothers wouldn’t like them sneaking behind their backs, but the whole time in the book they were giving each other googly eyes and thinking that it was one-sided when it came to them liking each other. & them ending up ignoring one another; and or dating someone else. While her best friend Tori dated her brother Elijah for a while then became friends.
But in reality they both liked each other, Ky was using Janna, in my opinion, to make Emmy jealous though he was actually using her to hide his feelings for her from her twin brothers Emmett and Elijah … when Emmett knew that Ky liked her since eighth grade. But when the football players were checking out Emmy, her brothers flip out so that push Ky back and to become distant and which made Emmy upset.

Then they went to their grandparents camping place or whatever Ky told Emmy how he felt, and she ran away then felt stupid by doing it and worrying herself to death about it. But FINALLY, in the end, Ky got the courage to ask Emmy to not only the homecoming dance but to be his girlfriend… guest what her brothers weren’t even mad why? Because they realize it wouldn’t ruin their friends as it didn’t ruin any friend with Tori and Emmy when Tori dated Emmy brother Elijah. UGH, all of that could’ve been avoided, and they could’ve started dating in like chapter 4 or 5… what a waste….. but at least the book was good though; give it that…

Gorgeous, charming, and funny. Ky would be any girl’s dream guy. Too bad he’s my brothers’ best friend.

I fly below the radar. It’s kind of my thing. With twin superstar older brothers, it isn’t hard to do. But when I’m epically dumped by my first boyfriend ever, it puts me right where I hate to be–in the limelight. And suddenly, everyone in Sweet Water is alerted to my love life, especially my nosy and overprotective brothers.

I did my best to manage the attention until I discover that Ky Andrews, the guy that I’ve crushed on since elementary school and my brothers’ best friend, is also paying attention. He’s recently broken up with his girlfriend and is actually talking to me…like a girl, not a bud. Just when I think this might be the happily-ever-after I’ve dreamed of, my brothers ruin it all. Suddenly, every boy in Sweet Water won’t touch me with a ten-foot pole–including Ky.

But when I’m suddenly paired with Ky for a project in yearbook, it seems like he’s struggling to keep his distance. Now confused, I have to decide if I’m willing to take the risk and fall for Ky or protect my heart and forever remain a wallflower.

1 town. 1 high school. 12 sweet romances.

Read Crushing on my Brothers’ Best Friend from Julia Keanini. It is the second installment of the Sweet Water High Multi-Author Series.

The Nobody and the Popular Guy (The Sunday Lunchers #6) by Julia Keanini

Almost finish the last book to the “Sunday lunchers” … I’m still lost to why “Sara” well by a book was written about Sara… I thought I had seen her name in at least two or three books to this series… during the girls counseling sessions… but I can’t place her…

Book Review:

I liked this book it was; different than the others

****There’s definitely spoilers throughout this review:*****

Omg, I’m here like Mr. Brandon, why they are talking about the counselor from books 1-5 in this series. Come to find out Blake is the actual guy who spoke to those girls (Lacey, Jamie, Audrey, Tina & Anna) through their eating disorders. Because In one of the books it mentions how he had the same problem in school and comes to find out he was the dang counselor. I was here ‘lost’ wondering who’s “Sara” was and why a book was written about her… I thought I had seen her name in at least two or three books to this series… during the girls counseling sessions. But I can’t place her.. but then my brain is telling me in one of these books her name is mentioned when Mr. Brandon talked about his wife.
That is crazy; I liked Mr. Brandon in book 1-5, and dislike like him 2.5 seconds when he let dust bunny Britney and her friends bully Sara! I think he could’ve to help Sara! If he actually did care for her. The way he went about it hurt Sara so bad especially all those evil things they did to her. I couldn’t blame Sara for not wanting to talk to him and not deal with him. Run away when he comes around. I too think why are you here, trying to ruin my life again. But I cannot wait until he apologizes and explains to Sara why he did what he did when they were in high school together.

I’m still mad about that set up that was the plan. But I was wondering how they played that setup so well when (well, how they know Sara was going to the bathroom at the particular time)… plus Darla and Jared were both a piece of crap too. I definitely wanted to smack them both with Britney…

I like how Blake finally gave Sara an explanation of why he couldn’t tell her or diss her “treated her like crap” as he said., I knew Britney was EVIL but evil enough to put Blake eating disorders out was pure evil if that was the case behind him treating Sara the way he did. I still said he was DEAD wrong!

But glad in the end, she knew that she should’ve forgiven him a LONG time ago; especially behind the reason, he did what he did. I also, knew that it wasn’t planned for Sara to find Blake passed out! Ha, Britney saw Blake changed because of Sara; what a hater. Glad, that Sara got Blake in the end. #truefacts

Book Review:

Good book; wasn’t disappointed.. 5 star. ⭐️

***• I’m just going to add the spoilers here•*****

So I have wanted to read this book for a while now because I wanted to know Audrey story. I am glad that I got to read her story. Which was so different from the other four girls… like I think this book was a book five idk but anyways!

It sucks that her friend Molly didn’t believe anything that “Katie” at the time said about her dad. But what it was Molly is just like her father and wanted to get in denial … I was glad that Audrey got out of her shale and became stronger than she truly was.

All it took was for Brent to come into her life again and give her that spark that she needed. I was also glad that she put Chris in his place. Because he almost ruin things for Brent, but Brent became a police officer, and Dylan became an investor… so I figure football wasn’t their calling. Not only that I was glad that In the end Dylan and Jenna finally got together. Because they wanted each other as much as Brent and Audrey each other.

I was glad that Audrey became stronger when her abuser (her ex-best friend father) came into her new home and tried to hurt her. In the end, I was glad she used her business degree to open up well more so to help those women who are a victim of abusive relationships, family members; ransoms, etc. I like stuff like that especially for women because it gives us women to protect ourselves from the evil of the world. That’s something I always wanted to do (boxing; martial arts, work out exercises) never know when you might need to kick somebody butt.

& I was glad that Audrey kicks Gary *** in the end. She needed to be happy; I also understood why she didn’t want to be called by Katie-Lynn, especially when he called her that name. Audrey was a way better name for her. I can’t stand men who prey on children yuck!!! For her friend to blame her at the age of thirteen saying she wanted to be raped by that man is just disgusting… I wanted to slap her ex-best friend, Molly.

But the last thing I want is for anyone to see me. And as part of me wants him to stay far away and leave me be, the other part wonders…what would it be like to be whole again? Could I be whole again?

The Sweet Girl and the Rock Star (The Sunday Lunchers #4) by Julia Keanini

Book Review:

This book was so good; it only took me one day to finish this though I started this almost towards midnight… I still count it as one day.

**•• Just let me add a few spoilers throughout this review”•***

So okay, I knew that Jessie boy was full of it smh, it always that one band member that will mess it up for others. Then to come to find out even Josh and Dragon didn’t even like him, that they only let Jessie stay because Tina loved him at the time. I was glad they went to that competition because they got to see who Jessie truly was.

Especially with the things, he said about her and to her. I couldn’t stand that Kelly Cook lady. She was so disrespectful, and Jessie wack self-agreed with everything she said about Tina. But not, Josh, Josh took up for Tina, that he should. But what I couldn’t figure out how Tina, never realize that it was Josh was the one who followed her around like a lost puppy. As the lady Verna I think that’s how you spell her name mention. She assumed it might be Nick I said really…

Same for when she though Nick told the Reporters that Z was her father. She was to blind to figure out it wasn’t Nick. I mean her and Josh were in the studio talking, and someone could’ve heard them and or a camera could’ve been in there at that time recording them… I still couldn’t figure out how they couldn’t figure that out. But glad everyone figured out what they wanted to do besides music and got a new guitar player. I do wonder if Dragon went to school for interior design…

In the end, I am glad, that Z and CeCe ended up together & not only that Tina and Josh finally figured out they wanted each other smh! One thing I hope is that in the next book, it doesn’t wait until they are adults to realize they want, care, find out they had the feeling for each other ugh! So annoying !!!! Happens in like the other two or three books before this one.

Oh thing I forgot to add, I was glad Jessie album flop especially since he went solo and blame Tina for getting them to kick out of the competition. When I still say Kelly has something to do with it. As well as brainwashing Jessie too … glad Nick didn’t let Kelly get to him. Jessie was cunt bucket idiot and showed his true colors to his bandmates.

Book Description:

What if the right guy has always been right there?

Actually more than decent. And if we could get the right ears to hear our stuff, we could have the future I’m dreaming of.

So when an opportunity to get on The Next Great American Band arises, we jump in. But what looked like a shiny blessing from the outside turns out to be our kryptonite. The better we do on the show, the closer our band gets to ruin. The only thing saving us is my bandmate, Josh. But just as I realize my feelings for him are more than platonic, the world, namely the girls of the world, discover the same thing I have. Josh is the ultimate rock star and can have any girl he wants. There’s no way he could possibly choose me, could he?

Book Review:

This book was good; I was rooting for Jamie, and Cole to come around!

••••**** Just a few little spoilers in this review•****••••

The “other” Jamie; she let Jamie control her and everything that is going on in her life. From her clothes, the way she looks and the guy she likes. She’s so afraid of Jamie that she doesn’t have her own mind. I cannot wait until she grows one so that she can’t stop letting Jamie control her. The other Jamie needs Cole in her life. I cannot wait until Cole; probe to Jamie that he wants the “other” Jamie instead of her ass. I can’t stand that Jamie girl. The other Jamie; she doesn’t seem to bad; especially when she becomes her true self and not be who Jamie wants her to be. Hopefully, she becomes friends with Lacey and her friends once she showed her real self. But I am wondering if the “other” Jamie is the Jamie that was supposed to be friends with Lacey and her friends before their friend Ash had died, and the other Jamie became a cheerleader… I can’t seem to remember which Jamie it was.

Oh, I love this quote of what Ella said to the “other” Jamie “Are you sure? Because sometimes, no matter how much our friend likes a guy, if the guy doesn’t like her back, it won’t work out.” Lord, I hope and can’t wait until the other Jamie (Jamie Jenkins) understand that Cole not thinking about Jamie (the evil on one). This other Jamie is so dumb she let her friend talk bad about her talk about her weight etc., and she still friends with her. Even after the fact she (her friend Jamie) disrespected her brother girl Ella & still wants Cole after the fact she knows the “other” Jamie wants him / have a crush on him. Gosh, I want to smack the other Jamie so bad for being so ignorant and dumb minded ugh! This girl is so annoying! Gah!
But, the other Jamie seems happier since she got (well so, “devil” Jamie got rid of her)… like Ella said Jamie was toxic; she wasn’t good for the “other” Jamie. Once she was done with devil Jamie. Everything went well for her again! & in the end, I was glad that the “other” Jamie made great decisions; made new and better friends; apologies to many people she hurt. She seems happier since Jamie not in her life. Funny how “evil” Jamie wanted to hurt her (“other Jamie); but in the end, she was the one life gotten ruined by getting pregnant. Glad, that the guy that evil Jamie got pregnant by; his mom was smart enough not to let her get rid of the baby like she did the first one… Cole best friend Scotty dodge that bullet! & I am also glad that Cole finally stops acting stank and got with “other” Jamie finally it took him long (prom) enough ask her out. I like in the end (five years later; Cole and Jamie got married; Payton got married to Dragon, and Jake and Ella had a baby 😀

Book Description:

He’s the one every girl wants, but he only wants me. Too bad I can’t have him.

Life as the best friend of the most popular girl in school was everything I’d hoped it would be. Granted, people called me Other Jamie behind my back and I have to sometimes be a brat in order to keep my place as said best friend…but it’s worth it. Anything is better than going back to being only known as Jake’s, not as talented, little sister.

But then Cole. I tried to ignore the way my heart speeds up every time he looks my way. The new boy is only trouble since my best friend has already laid claim to him. There are plenty of other guys and it’s something I make sure Cole understands.

But when I lose everything, it’s easy to see what’s important. But has Cole moved on?

The Good Girl and the Rebel (The Sunday Lunchers #2) by Julia Keanini (Author)

Just started book two of the “The Sunday Lunchers” by Julia Keanini. I was so confused at first when I started this book because I didn’t know what the girl name was because it wasn’t mentioned in the description. It was brought up in chapter two.

Book Review:

It’s was a good book

••• Spoilers throughout this review••••
So myself is here like REALLY? So they mad Rhys whatever how you say his weird name. Is madder at Anna, but all of them worship the damn grown that Aya walked on when she randomly brought herself back. After the fact that she abandoned both Rhys and her baby. Her own gramma even disrespected Anna, and her father acts as he has no say when Anna is disrespected. Neither of them doesn’t know how Anna, feels or what she’s going to especially with her being “Anorexia, puking up every time she eats food. It’s like her family doesn’t see the way she feels. Even, Rhys, it’s like they turn a blind eye, he even pushes Anna to the side when Aya came back. But now that Aya took his daughter AB, and she traded AB for money. He hates her, smh like really? You knew she had problems with drugs etc.? You trusted her 100% more than you did Anna and didn’t want Anna close because she may leave out of AB life, but Aya comes back it not a problem smh. The stupidity of some people. I didn’t like the fact he blames Anna, for AB disappearance; I understood that she could’ve taken the baby from Aya if she wasn’t so damn scared of Aya telling her family she “Anorexia” and puke up her food. But it’s really not Anna fault you as a person doesn’t know if that person will do such a thing. But now everybody doesn’t trust Aya; HA mkay… watch how quickly Rhys will want to date Anna after the fact everything is settled once AB home.

So the book Rhys name is actually pronounced as “Reece” what the what it would’ve been better with the normal one instead of confused one. Blah, lol.

I just don’t understand like I don’t get it; it’s nothing like the first one this one is a bit weird because it didn’t tell anything about them wanting each other like Lacey and Tucker. It’s was based on Anna puking; having a crush on Rhys; loved his daughter and taken care of the baby more than anyone including Aya (her cousin who also the mother of the child). It talked more about Rhys, his daughter, and Aya, with Anna being a mute and only back talked in certain parts of a chapter. But why do they always end up waiting until the end to get together like ughhhh ten years later? I bet the next book the same if so I’m a be disappointed.
10 YEARS LATER (Like an episode of SpongeBob) ugh!

The Shy Girl and the Football Star (The Sunday Lunchers #1) by Julia Keanini (Author)

This book is really good but I hate reading books like this; that makes me teary eye 😭…. so sad sheesh.

48396042_1844076562385239_6573425885792174080_o

Book Review:

Ok but “shy girl” I never got that part” because she wasn’t shy tbh
••••Spoilers will be in this review, but not too much. •••••

So, I am going to say this; I was planning to give this book a 3 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because Lacey was getting on my last nerve. But after a while, she wasn’t annoying, so I am going to give this book a 4 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I hated the fact that she kept putting girls on Tucker; when Tucker liked her and she was to blind to see it, even when she liked him herself, and put him on other girls that he didn’t want. Then she cries and whines about seeing him with Jamie or the girl Lauren .. like girl can you shut your face; it’s was your own fault. She got on my last nerve when she kept doing that. Not only that even when her friend Ash died she blamed herself when it wasn’t her fault. She didn’t know her friend had a heart condition. But what made it worse for Ash was what Charity did to her that is what pushed her to the end; like her sister, Amber stated “Ash didn’t want to die” I will agree. I think she was hurting and she wasn’t telling people the reason why she was hurt. She wasn’t eating after the incident happens with Lacey sister Charity. That was the saddest part of this book; I was even sad and teary-eyed while reading that storyline it was very sad. I didn’t even suspect that one of her friends was going to die. I was glad that Lacey finally spoke about the way she felt and embraced how she look and feel instead of continuing being sad and upset about how she looked even when she lost weight. She didn’t see in the beginning that Tucker didn’t care about how she looked. He was in love with her since he was THREE. Like she didn’t see anything his brother Jason and her weight blinded her. But in the end, they found each other and became one.

BTW: I also liked the fact that her sister Charity apologized and asked for forgiveness in what she has done to both Ash and Lacey, and she changed from who she was in high school.

P.S.
I hope that the author made or will make a story about Audrey because I want to know her story. Why she is the way, she is.
