Book Review:

Twice Burned but with a happy ending 🌺🥀💕😄

>>> SPOILERS INSIDE OF THIS REVIEW OF TWICE BURNED BY AUTHOR EMILY GOODWIN<<<<

I swear Lucas and Alexis are one irritating couple I swear lol. UGH! Like you have Alexis, who was always whining and believing everything that Luke, brother Cole has told her, which always end up as an LIE. And she knows he lied before and she still believes him. And stay flipping crying, and as I was reading this book, I am like GIRRRRRLLLL if you don’t ask Luke and stop believe his damn brother. I know this a book, but ol’ girl was annoying I swear lol. ‘

And there’s Luke, who always ends up leaving Lexi and not telling her he’s leaving he did it not once, but twice, now I understood the meaning behind why Lexi was upset with him and didn’t want anything to do with him. When he left the second time, I was like “I swear Lucas better not leave and go to freaking Chicago and without telling Alexis that he’s going up there for his best friend who’s in a coma and they will pull the plug soon. He better tells Alexis because if they break up again, I’m going to be really irritated.”

And boy was I irritated smh, but I was glad when she went to Chicago after she talked to both Caroline and Heather and they both told the story of why Cole hates Luke. I thought that it was amazing how the author had Luke, best friend Jose, taken his last breath, once he realizes Lexi was there in the care center with Lucas when he (Jose) took his last breath.

The ending was beautiful he took them to Disney World, not only that he asked her to marry him. Not only that but with the help of his parents, her sister, and her kids who had held the Will You (Paige) and Marry Me (Grace) signs up. With an arrow pointing at Luke in the picture so adorable. Plus, when they had themselves a baby I thought it was so cute. Even the name Harper wasn’t too bad.

Book Description:

I’ve been burned before.

Once by love, twice by fire.

And I don’t know which hurt worse.

For years, I’ve been playing with fire. Both in the sheets and in the streets. But after a life-changing accident, something had to give. Moving from Chicago to New York to live with my estranged brother is less than ideal, but it’s only temporary. To make it through the next year without killing each other, I need to stick to a few simple rules: no dating, no drama, no getting in each other’s business. Easy enough, right?

Then I met her, and the rules went out the window.

Problem is, he met her first.

**TWICE BURNED is the highly anticipated finale to HOT MESS, book one in the Love is Messy Duet**

Book Review:

Luke and Lexi (two L’s equals LOVE)

•••• Spoilers…. here and there•••••

I want to know who is awake. It had to be someone who was in the fire with him. Is it someone he worked with or a friend (could be someone he works with who is a friend). Also, I understood why he holds out on telling Alexis why he left Chicago and the reason he got burned. It could be a touchy feeling for someone who had gone through so much. Plus, he was in the hospital for 10 days, I believe not once did his brother ‘Cole” came to see him. I still want to know why Cole hates his brother Luke so much and don’t want to see him happy. He even trying to ruin the relationship he has going on with Alexis. Plus, I want to know why Luke left Chicago and why he was burned I know he used to be a fireman but what was behind him getting burned. I am interested in finding out why Cole, hates Luke I mean he keeps saying ask Luke or Luke you know why, and I am here like does Luke know why he hates him so much? Is it because of women maybe its the women name Caroline perhaps it’s not. Luke has a lot of secrets, and I am hoping in all comes through in book 2 and not only in book 2 but closer to the freaking beginning and not towards the end because that is annoying.

P.S. Also, Alexis, ex-husband/baby father, evil one evil man like GOD he wasn’t even trying to be a co-parent at all he may as well let Lexi get full custody and Luke be the step[father to those kids. Because he spent more time with them and evil played with them, unlike their dad, who put a movie in and gave the one girl a phone. Like I cannot stand those type of parents, even those who work in daycare or babysitter who doesn’t do anything with the kids.

Btw: Alexis, did get on my nerves because I felt like she was so Whiny and didn’t want to give Luke a chance when he was actually coming to see her texting and calling, even wanting to spend time with her and the kids.

Book Description:

My life is a hot mess.

Single, working, and raising two daughters, it’s a miracle I get us up, dressed, and fed every morning. Forget about dating–nobody’s got time for that. Even if love hadn’t left me jaded, I’m not settling for anything less than perfect this time around.

Lucky for me, the perfect man just happens to work in my office. But there’s just one small problem: he’s my boss, and is totally off limits. But hey, if it’s meant to be, it’ll find a way, right?

Then a night out with friends turns into a night in with the walking-talking bad boy cliche of a bartender. It’s just one night. No harm, no foul, right?

Except when the hot bartender turns out to be my boss’s trouble-making brother, who wants more than just one night with me. The more I resist the spark between us, the more I find myself wanting him too. Which puts me in the middle of what could be the biggest sibling rivalry of the century.

Life is messy.

And love?

Well, love is even messier.

Book Review:

I actually enjoyed this book as I did part 1 with Bell’s sister Waverley.

Few spoilers…. Here and there…

I knew that Dane was truly in love with Bell even though he tried to fight it he was falling in love with her just as she was to him. This story reminds me of the fifty shades series, but it’s entirely different from fifty shades. It only relates to the Dom and the Sub. Winter Renshaw has not disappointed me as of yet with either of her books I have read. Even though it was 1 book I didn’t so much like, I did enjoy this series. Cannot wait to read the story with Dane brother Beck, though I did read a few pages of part 3 before I realized that I was reading book 3 instead of 2. 😄

Book Description:

I’ve never felt more alive than when I’m on my knees before my master.

Some would say I should be ashamed.

Others might say I’m filled with sin.

I say I’m just a woman with unstoppable determination, doing whatever it takes to secure her freedom before the opportunity fades forever.

Nobody knows about us. Not my father, my three mothers, or my seven brothers and sisters.

I was bred to be chaste and true, expected to find a respectable polygamous man and carry on the tradition of our faith.

But this man? The one who owns me with biting kisses and the crack of a leather paddle? He might be the only thing that can save me.

Submission equals freedom. It’s an equation I never thought possible until the day Dane Townsend showed up in my life.

I’m Bellamy Miller, and this is what happens when an angel loses her wings.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is a stand-alone spin-off of Amazon Top 10 bestseller, Arrogant Bastard. You do not have to read Arrogant Bastard first though this book does give away the ending. No cliffhanger. HEA.

I’m over here like what in the world is a “sister wife” so I’m searching google📱👀 like “sister wives meaning” 😩😂 literally. As I am reading this book, I get to thinking I am sooooo this boy “Jensen” in this book because there’s no way I would be living the way these people “the women and children “ in that house 🏠 (the main house) the second wife house 🏡 and third wife house 🏡 so many flipping roles. Even bathroom rules bruh💀 I would have an attitude every day. The main character guy “Jensen literally mentioned “he literally will go to school with a beat up face. There’s No cable. No internet. No music. No transportation. And he literally loafed on Kath’s (his mom) sofa and stared at a wall for four hours today between naps. 💀😩 I am crying literally 😂 chanting take me foster care, please 🙏

Book Review:

Jensen was arrogant but he spoke the truth and didn’t give two ***** what anyone thought of him

•••••• There are a few spoilers I have mentioned inside in this review. So beware of a lot of spoilers throughout this book especially if you know you plan to read this book. ••••••••

This book was good I was not disappointed at all. I will say just like Jensen had mentioned that family was weird as fuck with their beliefs. It’s crazy how certain people believe this is what God wants for them and their children. And expect their children to follow their path and the beliefs they drill in their heads. I believe it is not right for a parent to marry off their daughter to some random guy of their (the parents choice). I am glad that Bells and Waverley ran off because I am like their father is tripping hard with those beliefs of his and bringing that creepy ass dude over to their house and Creeping his daughters out in the process. I figure that Jensen wasn’t listening to anything their father was saying. Plus his mother Kath is such an idiot seriously how she leaves one evil man for another man that is evil times two. Like Jensen said smh. This man (Mark) Bells and Waverley father had three wives they all were sister wives and had children by that man.

As I’m reading this book, I’m like what in the world is a “sister wife” so I’m searching google like “sister wives meaning” literally. As I am reading this book, I get to thinking I am sooooo this boy “Jensen” in this book because there’s no way. I would be living the way these people “the women and children “ in that house the first wife, in (the main house) the second wife (second house) and third wife in her( own house with her children) with so many flipping roles. Even bathroom rules. There’s no possible way I could live that way because I would have an attitude every day. The main guy character “Jensen mentioned “he literally will go to school with a beat up face (which his father gave him before he had to move with his mother, Kath). Because living there is boring. There’s No cable. No internet. No music. No transportation. And he loafed on Kath’s (his mom) sofa and stared at a wall for four hours that day between naps. If I was in that situation I am crying chanting take me to foster care please I prefer living that way rather than living like a caged animal at the list at eighteen in foster care you do have some freedom and don’t get married off. I can’t wait to read about Waverley sister Bellamy’s and Dane. Btw, I hope they get all their siblings away from their parents especially their father before they are entirely brainwashed. I hope through either book 2 or 3. It happens they end up removing both (female and male) sibling from that house of stupidity.

Book Description:

The last time my father beat me to a bloody pulp was the night he walked in on me with his woman in his bed.

To be fair, she seduced me. And to be honest, I liked it. But to CPS, I was a victim.

They shipped me to Utah where my estranged mother lived with her husband and two sister-wives. And that’s when I met her. My innocent, wholesome, perfect step-sister. Well, one of many. But Waverly stood out because just like me, we’d been fighting a losing battle our entire lives.

Falling for her was a mistake, but shit, it’s not like I ever made good decisions.

F**k being “family.” I must have Waverly Miller, and I won’t stop until she’s mine. AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is a full-length, standalone, HEA romance. Contains forbidden themes as well as religious undertones not meant to offend. Please be 18+.

Book Review:

>>>>Spoliers………………….<<<<<<

Filthy was actually a good book I definitely enjoyed Zane and Delilah story. The storyline was really good, it had my attention from the beginning to the end. It’s weird because Delilah got herself a football player, and whereas her older two siblings (the woman, and the man, that they married is so different) from Zane. But it was hilarious that Zane, assume her family wouldn’t like him, because of his tattoos and money, he doesn’t realize that Delilah sister Demi man Royal has tattoos and Derek woman is wealthy. LOL, cannot wait to read the story with her twin sister Daphne because more likely he’s going to meet her family then, hope so cause I do want to know what will happen. Also, figure that he was falling in love with her, though she was too with him. And Carissa chick was definitely a headache. But I want a story with Wenson. I like him a lot.

She said “Justin Beaver”.💀😂 But I am still trying to figure out if the boy “Zane” race is black, white, Mexican. I mean it mentioned he has ‘bronze skin’ his last name is “De la Cruz” he could be Spanish. Because I have never heard of a white or black person with that name. Though I am here like girl better go get you some of that vanilla caramel 👀 apple pie cinnamon bun 👀🤷‍♀️

Book Description:

Filthy mouth. Dirty mind. Messy past. I’m no saint, and I hear my reputation precedes me, but you can’t believe everything people say.

I’ve made a living playing by the rules only when the clock is ticking, the ball has been snapped, and I’m cleat-deep in AstroTurf. But I screwed up last year. I went too far with the girls and the partying and the benders, and I created a PR sh*t storm for my team in the process. As a result, the team owner sentenced me to live in some gated, Floridian retirement village until I can “calm down.”

Football is my life, and I love my team. They’re the only family I’ve got anymore, so I’ll do what I have to do to stay where I am.

The rules are clear: no girls, less booze, zero publicity stunts. If I lay low and repair my reputation, I won’t get cut. It’s that simple. Everything was going well. For the first time in my life, I was living by someone else’s rules . . .

. . . and then *she* showed up for the summer.

My next door neighbor’s great niece is visiting, and it doesn’t take long for me to see Delilah Rosewood is the perfect mix of sexy and smart. She makes me want to break all the rules and draw every penalty just to get a taste. She’s all curves and opinions and bee-stung lips, and I’m all trying-to-do-everything-I-can-to-convince-her-to-give-me-the-time-of-day.

But there’s one problem: she hates me with the passion of a thousand Florida suns.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is a full-length, standalone romance. You do not need to read ROYAL or BACHELOR first, but for a very *limited time* both books are included FREE with this e-book version of FILTHY! Also included is an ALL-NEW series epilogue!

Book Review:

Bachelor #2

………………….Hey, there are spoilers… In this BOOK! 0.0

I don’t know, but this book wasn’t that interesting to me at all. Idk, I didn’t even like Derek story at all, but it was still interesting. Plus, I wanted him to use his toys on Serena lmao! Like I said id this book was dry or something, but I still can’t rate this book a 3 though So I’m in between a 4 or 5! Let’s see where the end leads first before I rate it! Plus, I’m here wishing this book ends already and REALLY hoping that the stories with his younger twin sisters are better than his because man I actually wanted to read this story so bad.

I’m a rate this book a 4, This story is good, but it’s not good I don’t know.

Hmm, hmm, she did tell Poppy all about Derek lord ham pickles and grapes. I get a feeling she’s going to tell Veronica or somebody. She set Serena up acting like she missed her. I’ll see towards the end if I am right! Plus, it’s not a surprise that Veronica puts Keir, Serena ex up to that to set her up when he went behind her back and sex her two friends. But I felt like if he was man enough, he could’ve told that lady no. If you loved somebody, you wouldn’t do what someone else says to hurt the one person you love. Men, I tell you. #SMH!

Btw: like I said I figured Poppy was going to tell the TMZ news or whatever about Serena having sexual relationships-with her attorney. Like, girl, you cannot tell people everything everybody is not your friend all she had to do will spill a lie or two with the different guy name damn one day she went into the city look at what happened.

Still,
How can Serena slap Derek heck I am mad too, she actually seduced him, he kept pushing her away. But sometimes you keep pushing you to cave in after while if you like a person. She knew what she was doing, I hope he doesn’t lose his dang flipping job over some ***.

It’s also funny how their dad stays disapproving about the person that his children meet or get involved with or have known since childhood and then, later on, he has a change of heart. I can tell both Demi and Derek dad is very judgmental and realize his mistakes. I cannot wait until I read Daphne and Delilah’s story, see how their dad be with the twins when they bring the person around they love because he stank face with Demi when it came to Royal and Derek and Serena.

P.S. I thought the ending was very cute and good. 1. Glad Derek won full custody of Haven. 2. Serena Socket it to Veronica and she didn’t get an ounce of Serena dad money.

Book Description:

I, Derek Rosewood, am never going to marry.

Ever. Again.

Fresh off the heels of a bitter divorce, there are only three things I give a sh*t about: my daughter, my career, and my bachelorhood.

An attorney by trade and happily married to my job, I save the drama for the courtroom and keep women at an arm’s length. Their fragile, sequined hearts are safer that way. And besides, I’m not in any condition to offer them the love and attention they so foolishly seek from me.

Believe me, I’m not what they need. Not after what I’ve been through.

It’s not until I’m assigned as the financial conservatorship for an aloof, enigmatic heiress that I find my professional – and personal – boundaries pushed to the wayside. We’re all wrong for each other. Emotionally unavailable. Bitter. Jaded. And I’m supposed to look out for her best interests. Protect her.

But *this* wasn’t supposed to happen. And for that reason, I plead the fifth.

Misadventures of a Virgin (Misadventures #14) by Meredith Wild (Author)

Book Review:

I thought this story was really cute. I liked both June and Kase, plus their names fit well together, and I also figure…

Hold on…. few spoilers. After this.

I also figured that June was going to end up pregnant and it’s crazy how both their parents (we ’ll, Kase uncle) and June dad hold that grudge for all those years over a woman. In actuality, June father shouldn’t have gotten mad with Kase uncle because for one the woman he married didn’t want him to begin with she just ran from Kase uncle but end the end that is who she actually wanted. Though I am glad that June father was finally gotten the stick out of his butt to allow June and Kase to be together in the end, which his uncle didn’t care one bit if they fell in love or not. Also, it’s cute that she found Love in Kase, though she was a virgin she still loved and cared for her in the end. Sometimes it is hard to find that love when you are virgin because most men want what no one has ever had, also even those who have gotten someone still don’t. But towards the end the story I felt like it was a drag for some reason lol. Ugh, but it was still a good book, and it didn’t take me long actually to finish.

Book Description:

It’s been years since June Bell shared a stolen moment with her girlhood crush, Kase McCasker. It’s been just as long since Kase’s father nixed the sale of the McCasker farm to expand the grounds of the Bell’s grand hotel. Now that Kase is back home for good, June might be the only person who can persuade him to reconsider the abandoned plan. But how can she face him again after he left her without a word?

Four years ago, unexpected news shook the foundation of Kase McCasker’s world. Escaping Falls Edge for college was the perfect excuse to chase his demons and bury his pain. Now, with a degree in hand and a void he can’t fill, he’s back in the little mountain town he thought he’d never call home again. Book Review:

Bane to her Ruby 😍🤪😜

Yesssss this book was good.

Spoilers….

I’m so team Bane and Ruby. Even though he has a hideous name, I still like him.

Like I started this book and finished it in like two days of starting it. This storyline and plot were good, but as I was reading, I was considering why Ruby didn’t double Major in her theater degree. Because sometimes with those degrees like Art or theater it’s so hard to get a job at all. It’s nothing like music, dance among other degrees that’s not like music, etc. that’s why I switch up my career path because I was considering going to college for art.

Also, I like how bane got into Ruby dad *** because he was a perk just as Armstrong is a perk I believe he smashes that girl Britney in the story that’s up next about Amalie. Which I cannot wait to read that story it’s about to get juicy, and I need to know who that guy is that she will end up with during her hunny moon.

Lastly, Bane mom seems very controlling hooking him up with a female he did not want. Makes me glad I don’t have wealthy parents because ones who aren’t rich have it bit easier than the rich perks who think they are above others (not all rich). Just the boogie ones and stuck up ones, I cannot stand as in this book, and real life including the broke stuck up and boogied folks in real life too lol!

Shacking Up

Book Description:

Ruby Scott is months behind on rent and can’t seem to land a steady job. She has one chance to turn things around with a big audition. But instead of getting her big break, she gets sick as a dog and completely bombs it in the most humiliating fashion. All thanks to a mysterious, gorgeous guy who kissed—and then coughed on—her at a party the night before.

Luckily, her best friend might have found the perfect opportunity; a job staying at the lavish penthouse apartment of hotel magnate Bancroft Mills while he’s out of town, taking care of his exotic pets. But when the newly-evicted Ruby arrives to meet her new employer, it turns out Bane is the same guy who got her sick.

Seeing his role in Ruby’s dilemma, Bane offers her a permanent job as his live-in pet sitter until she can get back on her feet. Filled with hilariously awkward encounters and enough sexual tension to heat a New York City block, Shacking Up, from NYT and USA Today bestselling author Helena Hunting, is sure to keep you laughing and swooning all night long.

My mother is gorgeous, but she refused to play by the same rules as so many of the other women in this environment seem to. She wouldn’t get the surgery, the facelifts, whatever tucks and nips to keep her looking like the twenty-three-year-old my father married. So he upgraded to a newer model, and test-drove a lot of them along the way.

Book Review:

Spoilers…..”THE RUBY CIRCLE>>>>> #Bloodlines, #BOOK6…..

I started on this book back in 2015 I believe maybe it was last year. But anyways, I stopped reading this book because I got bored with it. I’m glad that I finally finished it. When I read this section (No automatic alt text available.) of the book I’m like “Hold the front door, Dimitri and Adrian are cousins”? I didn’t see that coming at all. OMG.

Sydney is RIGHT for Adrian; he used to be so inLOVE with Rose until he met Sydney, when they got together I was like “yes, yes” lol. But in this book Sydney, got on my nerves for like 2.5 seconds lol. Because she seems controlling, trying to tell Adrain what to do when he doesn’t tell her she can’t help find Jill. But she wants him to stop using magic and helping people. But she’s helping people with her magic. Like he’s family stopped speaking to him because of her. But I did and do understand her especially when he almost LOST control and let spirit take him. His dead aunt tried to make him receive the spirit and let it take him whereas Sydney wanted to save him, in the end, he took him meds to get rid of both spirit and his aunt.

At the end I glad that they found a happy ending, I figured that both Adrian and Sydney was going to end up taking care of Declan because Neil didn’t want people to know about the baby, Olive died to keep that secret, I couldn’t blame either of them. And Sydney dad still evil as ever smh nothing has changed with that man. I was glad when Jill got saved, but she got save and I’m like is this book ever going to end lol. ugh. It was good, though, but I got tired of reading.

My next read 📖 is The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead. Very good series. Love her Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series 📚 I LOVE ADRIAN HE’S SO MY BOOK BOYFRIEND 😂😂
