Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West

One of my favorite authors… read mostly all of her books. 📚 I can’t wait to read this one… @kasiewest @epicreads

Book Review:

*** There are some spoilers in this review****

I’m never disappointed when I am reading Kasie West books. It never takes me long to read her books. I love this story; I knew someone was targeting Lacey; I never thought it was Aaron. I thought it was Faith the whole time; the author fool me…. but at least she got her career on top and got a connection with her main castmates; plus a relationship with Donovan. I can’t say too much about this book, but it was really good; I started on it yesterday and finished it today — definitely a 5-star book.

Book Description:

Fan favorite author Kasie West delivers an effervescent story about chasing your dreams and following your heart, perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Huntley Fitzpatrick.

Lacey Barnes has dreamed of being an actress for as long as she can remember. So when she gets the opportunity to star in a movie alongside one of Hollywood’s hottest actors, she doesn’t hesitate to accept the part.

But Lacey quickly learns that life in the spotlight isn’t as picture perfect as she imagined. She’s having trouble bonding with her costars, her father has hired the definition of a choir boy, Donavan Lake, to tutor her, and somewhere along the way she’s lost her acting mojo. And just when it seems like things couldn’t get any worse, it looks like someone on set is deliberately trying to sabotage her.

As Lacey’s world spins out of control, it feels like the only person she can count on—whether it’s helping her try to unravel the mystery of who is out to get her or snap her out of her acting funk—is Donavan. But what she doesn’t count on is this straight-laced boy becoming another distraction.

With her entire future riding on this movie, Lacey knows she can’t afford to get sidetracked by a crush. But for the first time in her life Lacey wonders if it’s true that the best stories really do happen when you go off script.

The Nobody and the Popular Guy (The Sunday Lunchers #6) by Julia Keanini

Almost finish the last book to the “Sunday lunchers” … I’m still lost to why “Sara” well by a book was written about Sara… I thought I had seen her name in at least two or three books to this series… during the girls counseling sessions… but I can’t place her…

Book Review:

I liked this book it was; different than the others

****There’s definitely spoilers throughout this review:*****

<i>Omg, I’m here like Mr. Brandon, why they are talking about the counselor from books 1-5 in this series. Come to find out Blake is the actual guy who spoke to those girls (Lacey, Jamie, Audrey, Tina & Anna) through their eating disorders. Because In one of the books it mentions how he had the same problem in school and comes to find out he was the dang counselor.</i> <u>I was here ‘lost’ wondering who’s “Sara” was and why a book was written about her… I thought I had seen her name in at least two or three books to this series… during the girls counseling sessions. But I can’t place her.. but then my brain is telling me in one of these books her name is mentioned when Mr. Brandon talked about his wife. </u>
That is crazy; I liked Mr. Brandon in book 1-5, and dislike like him 2.5 seconds when he let dust bunny Britney and her friends bully Sara! I think he could’ve to help Sara! If he actually did care for her. The way he went about it hurt Sara so bad especially all those evil things they did to her. I couldn’t blame Sara for not wanting to talk to him and not deal with him. Run away when he comes around. I too think why are you here, trying to ruin my life again. But I cannot wait until he apologizes and explains to Sara why he did what he did when they were in high school together.

I’m still mad about that set up that was the plan. But I was wondering how they played that setup so well when (well, how they know Sara was going to the bathroom at the particular time)… plus Darla and Jared were both a piece of crap too. I definitely wanted to smack them both with Britney…

I like how Blake finally gave Sara an explanation of why he couldn’t tell her or diss her “treated her like crap” as he said., I knew Britney was EVIL but evil enough to put Blake eating disorders out was pure evil if that was the case behind him treating Sara the way he did. I still said he was DEAD wrong!

But glad in the end, she knew that she should’ve forgiven him a LONG time ago; especially behind the reason, he did what he did. I also, knew that it wasn’t planned for Sara to find Blake passed out! Ha, Britney saw Blake changed because of Sara; what a hater. Glad, that Sara got Blake in the end. #truefacts

Lacey Barnes has dreamt of being in a movie for as long as she can remember. However, while her dream did include working alongside the hottest actor in Hollywood, it didn’t involve having to finish up her senior year of high school at the same time she was getting her big break. Although that is nothing compared to Donavan, the straight-laced student her father hires to tutor her, who is a full-on nightmare.

As Lacey struggles to juggle her burgeoning career, some on-set sabotage, and an off-screen romance with the unlikeliest of leading men, she quickly learns that sometimes the best stories happen when you go off script.

Book Review:

Good book; wasn’t disappointed.. 5 star. ⭐️

***• I’m just going to add the spoilers here•*****

So I have wanted to read this book for a while now because I wanted to know Audrey story. I am glad that I got to read her story. Which was so different from the other four girls… like I think this book was a book five idk but anyways!

It sucks that her friend Molly didn’t believe anything that “Katie” at the time said about her dad. But what it was Molly is just like her father and wanted to get in denial … I was glad that Audrey got out of her shale and became stronger than she truly was.

All it took was for Brent to come into her life again and give her that spark that she needed. I was also glad that she put Chris in his place. Because he almost ruin things for Brent, but Brent became a police officer, and Dylan became an investor… so I figure football wasn’t their calling. Not only that I was glad that In the end Dylan and Jenna finally got together. Because they wanted each other as much as Brent and Audrey each other.

I was glad that Audrey became stronger when her abuser (her ex-best friend father) came into her new home and tried to hurt her. In the end, I was glad she used her business degree to open up well more so to help those women who are a victim of abusive relationships, family members; ransoms, etc. I like stuff like that especially for women because it gives us women to protect ourselves from the evil of the world. That’s something I always wanted to do (boxing; martial arts, work out exercises) never know when you might need to kick somebody butt.

& I was glad that Audrey kicks Gary *** in the end. She needed to be happy; I also understood why she didn’t want to be called by Katie-Lynn, especially when he called her that name. Audrey was a way better name for her. I can’t stand men who prey on children yuck!!! For her friend to blame her at the age of thirteen saying she wanted to be raped by that man is just disgusting… I wanted to slap her ex-best friend, Molly.

But the last thing I want is for anyone to see me. And as part of me wants him to stay far away and leave me be, the other part wonders…what would it be like to be whole again? Book Review:

This book was so good; it only took me one day to finish this though I started this almost towards midnight… I still count it as one day.

**•• Just let me add a few spoilers throughout this review”•***

So okay, I knew that Jessie boy was full of it smh, it always that one band member that will mess it up for others. Then to come to find out even Josh and Dragon didn’t even like him, that they only let Jessie stay because Tina loved him at the time. I was glad they went to that competition because they got to see who Jessie truly was.

Especially with the things, he said about her and to her. I couldn’t stand that Kelly Cook lady. She was so disrespectful, and Jessie wack self-agreed with everything she said about Tina. But not, Josh, Josh took up for Tina, that he should. But what I couldn’t figure out how Tina, never realize that it was Josh was the one who followed her around like a lost puppy. As the lady Verna I think that’s how you spell her name mention. She assumed it might be Nick I said really…

Same for when she though Nick told the Reporters that Z was her father. She was to blind to figure out it wasn’t Nick. I mean her and Josh were in the studio talking, and someone could’ve heard them and or a camera could’ve been in there at that time recording them… I still couldn’t figure out how they couldn’t figure that out. But glad everyone figured out what they wanted to do besides music and got a new guitar player. I do wonder if Dragon went to school for interior design…

In the end, I am glad, that Z and CeCe ended up together & not only that Tina and Josh finally figured out they wanted each other smh! One thing I hope is that in the next book, it doesn’t wait until they are adults to realize they want, care, find out they had the feeling for each other ugh! So annoying !!!! Happens in like the other two or three books before this one.

Oh thing I forgot to add, I was glad Jessie album flop especially since he went solo and blame Tina for getting them to kick out of the competition. When I still say Kelly has something to do with it. As well as brainwashing Jessie too … glad Nick didn’t let Kelly get to him. Jessie was cunt bucket idiot and showed his true colors to his bandmates.

High School Dropout (Forest Ridge High Book 3) by Sherri Renee

So far so good… I don’t hate George now… since I gotten an understanding…

51107166_1908188489307379_8183228414866489344_o

Book Review:

It was a very disappointing feeling when I realize that George and Laurie got together 😂😂 I was so for Meghan because I assume she wanted George!!!! Maybe, she still does, who knows.

•*** Spoilers; throughout this review••***

Okay, this is so weird! Amazon has this book set as “Second Chance” whereas on Goodreads it set as “High School Dropout”… & both have different cover photos which are weird too.
With that being said….. I was glad George was there to pick up Laurie because that person was waiting for her to leave that shelter… especially when it was waiting for Laurie to walk past. Then also be at her house too, 9 out of 10 it could be that art teacher she has that weird feeling about. I understand those feelings because I get different vibes from people you can’t trust…
Also, it sucks what everyone is doing, or how they are treating Laurie at school! Like they don’t know what she was going to in the hands of her uncle I was made at her in book 1 with Matt, Kristen (ex, George) because they both set Kristen up to die… but if it wasn’t for Laurie in both scenarios (her being set up) and (Laurie saving her (Kristen) …. Kristen wouldn’t have been in that situation, to begin with, but in the end, Laurie went to save her along with Matt…. but ONLY Kristen and Matt sees what she did, which sucks but I think she’ll come out stronger in the end. You’ll know who your friends are once something goes bad for you…..
As I am getting further into this book; there’s so much that both George and Laurie relate to each other. When they were in that cabin; it sucks how his brother died. I feel sorry for George because you can tell he was going through so much! When his brother committed suicide over what his dad kept demanding of him… this happens in real life with parents demanding kids to get perfect grades… you can’t do that to kids it’s can be hard on them… I will never demand my kid to get perfect grades. It’s best to tell them to do their best (you can only do the best that you can)!!!
I was glad in this story I have gotten to understand George more and why he did the things that he did… I don’t think he was able to talk to others and he did with Laurie… they both need each other in this scenario.

In the end, I am glad Rose realize Jack wasn’t the one for her and Jack got what he deserved when he did that to Laurie. Knowing darn well she didn’t want him. Glad that George, came to her rescue to have her back. If it wasn’t for Kristen, I don’t think no one would be friends with her. But now she has Kristen, Rose, Michelle, Jules, George, and Matt. That’s all she needs. I currently don’t even like Meghan, but I still want to know what her issue was.
I am glad that they well Sebastian gotten adopted and found the money; you know one thing about a dog they are very good at finding things. If Laurie adopted Sebastian, I don’t think they would’ve found that money and those evil men would’ve still been after them. Glad in the end everything turns out good for both her and George and Sebastian didn’t die…

Book Review:

This book was better than the first book!
•••••**** There are spoilers inside this review**••••***

” I hope that there will be a story about Meghan and George because, when Meghan gave Kristen to the cold “thanks”… I could tell she doesn’t like Kristen for some reason, even in book one, which was about Kristen, & Matt (ex, George)… I still believe that it has to do with something about George… If so I hope there will be a book about them both, because my nosey self is just curious and want to know what happens, and will Meghan tell Kristen what problem she has with her. I also wouldn’t mind a book about Jules, (w. Brian, Maybe)… & then I am like “Oops, my book dream is a crush, when it comes to Meghan and George since the book, three mentions Laurie and George that are going to get together? oh well!”

But first let me say this, okay, so I was so rooting for Michelle and Danny in the first book with Kristen and Matt “(High School Hero (Forest Ridge High Book 1)”), but seeing well reading how he is towards her, you can tell he wasn’t feeling her the way she was feeling him. Plus, the way he didn’t want to see her and easily moved on so fast once he moved was so disrespectful. I was glad she had Jace to come around to make her happy, Jace was more of a man than Danny would ever be. The way he treated Michelle was dirty. I wanted to smack him sideways…
One thing, I did know, or figure was Jace, was genuinely sick, when Michelle had mentioned him was small, etc. & come to find out he had cancer just as her mother. I do hope that Michelle and her father get along minus her demon sister. But I would like to say this “ I really hate when I read books and the parent always dies or get sick with “CANCER” I hate reading about someone dying of “cancer” in every book. Because I know there so many diseases that are out there such as Leukemia, Diabetes, Heart disease, stroke, etc. that people can die from, even car accidents, etc. so many ways a parent can end up dying. I don’t like cancer, and I don’t like seeing that it’s the ONLY disease that is mention!
But anyways, I am so rooting for Jace and Michele; I am hoping he gives her her five kids, I mean he already has the house need more bedrooms lol! But Meghan acts like Kristen was in the wrong, and nothing was George fault which is annoying! I want to smack her along with Danny! Wish she explains to Kristen why she hates and dislikes her so much. Kristen is nice!

In the end, this book was awesome, Michelle didn’t annoy me as much as her friend Kristen I wanted to slap Kristen half through the book 😂😂😂😂. But what annoyed me about Michelle was she assumed too much when it came to Jace, like the situation with Jules and his sister Jana?! …. & with Danny, she always brushes it off…, it was just weird. Then in the end at that little practice game, glad Forest beat Whiley or whatever that team was Wiley was it? Idc 😂😂😂 Danny was going to try to come for Michelle about her moving on with Jace, in my head I was like boy bye if you don’t get your bean-head on somewhere. He hurt Michelle but wanted to come for her after the game, when he played her once he moved. Glad, she didn’t have any more feelings for him -and he told Jace to take care of her… I kind of don’t want to smack him… nah I’m lying! 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

Book Review:

This book was good; I was rooting for Jamie, and Cole to come around!

••••**** Just a few little spoilers in this review•****••••

The “other” Jamie; she let Jamie control her and everything that is going on in her life. From her clothes, the way she looks and the guy she likes. She’s so afraid of Jamie that she doesn’t have her own mind. I cannot wait until she grows one so that she can’t stop letting Jamie control her. The other Jamie needs Cole in her life. I cannot wait until Cole; probe to Jamie that he wants the “other” Jamie instead of her ass. I can’t stand that Jamie girl. The other Jamie; she doesn’t seem to bad; especially when she becomes her true self and not be who Jamie wants her to be. Hopefully, she becomes friends with Lacey and her friends once she showed her real self. But I am wondering if the “other” Jamie is the Jamie that was supposed to be friends with Lacey and her friends before their friend Ash had died, and the other Jamie became a cheerleader… I can’t seem to remember which Jamie it was.

Oh, I love this quote of what Ella said to the “other” Jamie “Are you sure? Because sometimes, no matter how much our friend likes a guy, if the guy doesn’t like her back, it won’t work out.” Lord, I hope and can’t wait until the other Jamie (Jamie Jenkins) understand that Cole not thinking about Jamie (the evil on one). This other Jamie is so dumb she let her friend talk bad about her talk about her weight etc., and she still friends with her. Even after the fact she (her friend Jamie) disrespected her brother girl Ella & still wants Cole after the fact she knows the “other” Jamie wants him / have a crush on him. Gosh, I want to smack the other Jamie so bad for being so ignorant and dumb minded ugh! This girl is so annoying! Gah!
But, the other Jamie seems happier since she got (well so, “devil” Jamie got rid of her)… like Ella said Jamie was toxic; she wasn’t good for the “other” Jamie. Once she was done with devil Jamie. Everything went well for her again! & in the end, I was glad that the “other” Jamie made great decisions; made new and better friends; apologies to many people she hurt. She seems happier since Jamie not in her life. Funny how “evil” Jamie wanted to hurt her (“other Jamie); but in the end, she was the one life gotten ruined by getting pregnant. Glad, that the guy that evil Jamie got pregnant by; his mom was smart enough not to let her get rid of the baby like she did the first one… Cole best friend Scotty dodge that bullet! & I am also glad that Cole finally stops acting stank and got with “other” Jamie finally it took him long (prom) enough ask her out. I like in the end (five years later; Cole and Jamie got married; Payton got married to Dragon, and Jake and Ella had a baby 😀

But then Cole.  I tried to ignore the way my heart speeds up every time he looks my way. The new boy is only trouble since my best friend has already laid claim to him. There are plenty of other guys and it’s something I make sure Cole understands.

Book Review:

UGH, these chapters; so long, Good book, just ugh!

••••• ***Spoilers going to be throughout this review so beware mkay?**••••

I’ve been reading so many of these romance books. That I don’t know what “dick” is because I am so used to seeing/reading and saying cock” … & I don’t even use that word I say “Dick” I am like wth is a COCK? 😂 I’m so used to that word I’m here like did he say cock or dick in this book … but then I realize he said: “she rides me like a Harley on a bumpy road.” Boop oh well! Mishap😂
But I’m trying to figure out if it’s Nick or Dean, Juliet going to end up with. It better not be Johnny; that’s going to be a disappointment, at its best. I don’t even understand why Juliet and Johnny were also trying to get back with each other; they are no good for each other. For one they are both toxic. I don’t even know why he was chasing her so much, and she’s debating on going back to him.
Though I hope she doesn’t; I was glad she lost her virginity to Nick instead of Johnny. I wonder who she’s going to end up with; I so want her with Nick; I do wonder how they’ll feel if each of them goes at someone in front of each other. They are so awkward now since they had sex; I wonder if anyone would notice; especially Mack because he’s the one that’s always around them both.
It’s crazy to how Johnny got mad at her though when she admitted that she had sex with someone. Then he goes to; straight diss her… like humph I think he did this because she wasn’t a virgin anymore. Then he out there with this girl and that. I’m like mkay; boy an excellent way to show the girl you supposedly want; how you feel about her. I can tell every girl Arianna, and Kara doesn’t be mean to her like that now especially going on a double date with Ben and Arianna .. I guess Johnny was not pinning after her, so they change just a little. But I’ll see how things go once I get further, but I’m so hoping she gets with Nick ugh they shouldn’t be ignoring each other; well Juliet ignoring him ugh; I think he may feel something and was hurt by her saying it was a mistake. Smh! She rather gave her V card to Johnny instead that chick stupid dumb for real.
I’m just happy she’s talking back with Nick. They were so awkward. It ends up with her ex Johnny stepbrother Dean it’s better than Johnny. Because both are so toxic … I see she getting those sparks and electricity with Dean but not with Johnny ha! Ha! Lorena can tell Juliet likes Dean 😀 especially when she was putting a tank (aquarium) up in this room! I wanted to smack her for not giving into her feeling for Dean in chapter 37; by chapter 39 she better makes up her dang mind. She is so wishy-washy.
But since Heather her supposedly friend diss her for someone who’s getting her into drugs. I hope she doesn’t give into that friendship easily. She better do her like she is done Nike and Johnny if not that will irritate me. Because Heather was her friend, she wouldn’t have gotten mad Juliet was there for her and trying to help her. Her dang head was far up Sloane ass it didn’t make any sense. I tell you when a person falls for somebody they diss everybody who cares about them. But run back when things go sour. I’m a see what Heather mind is at soon.
Btw, Juliet needs glasses for night time she can’t see to save her life. It’s funny to me how it didn’t take her long to seek out Dean and apologize about ignoring him. But never did it with Nick; he was the one to speak first and get their friendship kind of back. I realize that she tells Dean a lot of things that she hasn’t told Johnny.

But it sucks what had happened to Johnny he made so many mistakes throughout this book. That I hope he does straighten up and go for sports medicine as Juliet told him. I always say you need a backup plan when you decide to go into sports as your career. You’ll never know when you end up hurting yourself to a point you can’t play anymore. That’s why I said I don’t understand why these football players (in real life),: don’t finish college and then get drafted into the NFL. Btw I’m so irritated because this book is so long that I’m over it now. It’s 54 chapters which I think it’s ridiculous even to have ugh.

I am so glad I am done with this book. Thought it would never end. But I was mad at Dean for how long that stupid plan he had with dust bunny Kara. Until Nick came to Juliet and told her what was going on; not only that Dani too. They all well the females should’ve had Juliet back, to begin with. They let Dust Bunny Kara control them and what they do. At least Dean came to his senses because I wanted to smack his ass silly. Also; I wish Kara got what she deserved Juliet was right everything that was BAD happening from Johnny; Dani; Arianna and Dean were all of Kara doing it’s crazy how someone can hate one person because both guys wanted another girl and not her. Good that neither Johnny or Dean didn’t do Anything with her. But btw all that I FREAKING LIKE BEN THAT DUDE IS LIFE AND FUNNY.

High School Hero (Forest Ridge High Book 1) by Sherri Renee (Author)

My current read “High School Hero by Sherri Renee” 📖… I know one thing this book is good but this girl Kristen getting on my dang nerves. 🙄 cannot stand females who think guys that harm them or others are good to stay just because they are “going through something; have a lot on their plate etc” I want to just smack her through this book even though it’s fiction! I’m here like if this heifer doesn’t go and get her “bad boy Matt” and get rid of “George” who even wanna date someone with that name 😂. But anyway!!

Book Review:

Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

Let me say this I knew Kristen was going to be mad annoying…

•••• wait before I get into what I got to say; there’s going to be a lot or a few spoilers in my review•••***

So anyways I knew she was annoying because, for one thing, she was mad dumb; naive little girl; due to the fact she let “George” do mean things to her, and not only that use her as a pond in the game him, and Laurie was playing. Instead of her dumb self removing herself from the situation; she kept herself there smh; for these men to come after her like you can’t be that stupid; then get scared; when you find out more truth; then the final truth when the game about to start. I just had to roll my eyes. Because In the beginning, I knew Laurie was up to no good; she ’s not any friend instead of keeping Kristen away from trouble (her uncle) she leads this naive girl into a lion dean. Smh; I hope in the end Matt be there for this girl because lord she’s not smart when it comes to a lot of things; there were so many signs in this book and the signs she was receiving from both George and Laurie; even seen the signs at the mall. She got a peanut brain. It’s crazy how she was that dumb smh. Not to figure out that something wasn’t right. Kristen was so concerned with George getting hurt not realizing both he and Laurie was setting her up to possibly getting hurt or killed. You could tell by the way the author wrote this book; she made Kristen naive and not bright; that’s the whole point of the book to make it more interesting to see what happens next. But; I just wanted to shake Kristen her friend Michelle, and even Matt was smarter then Kristen. Then looked dumb scared when she learned the truth 😂😂😂 I’m like girrrrrl this could’ve been avoided if you broke up with the meat-head….. heck Even Danny didn’t like George; that should’ve told her something. 😂 Towards the end though; I was ready for it to be over with already. These are the hands I would like to use for both George and Laurie 👋👋👋👋 (slaps-two hands-same time) for making that girl Kristen scared to death and scared that something may happen to her.

But I did sort felt bad for Laurie though, because she could’ve threatened her if she didn’t go along with his plan. I hope she did save enough actually to get away from her uncle. Hopefully, the police find her uncle Melvin in the end so he won’t try to hurt Kristen and even Laurie. Her uncle seems like trash for using teens and harming or killing them; like he did the last quarterback. That freaking George I still don’t feel bad, because he knew it could’ve turned bad he didn’t listen. Would’ve been worse if Matt wasn’t there to save Kristen; I was so glad he was because as I was reading and reading about the knifed and he the guy coming toward Kristen I’m like where’s Matt… At least Laurie tried to save her. But she disappears fast 💨 as heck lol. Like poof and she’s gone…. but glad in the end; It was a happy ending.
