The Tapper Twins: Go To War (with each other) by Geoff Rodkey

Book Description:

This bestselling first book in the Tapper Twins series is a hilariously authentic showcase of what it’s like to be in middle school in our digitally-saturated world, told as a colorful “oral history” with photos, screenshots, text messages, chat logs, and online gaming digital art.

Twelve-year-old twins, Claudia and Reese, who couldn’t be more different…except in their determination to come out on top in a vicious prank war. But when the competition escalates into an all-out battle that’s fought from the cafeteria of their New York City private school all the way to the fictional universe of an online video game, the twins have to decide if their efforts to destroy each other are worth the price. In a starred review, Publishers Weekly declared “This uproarious series opener… is packed with both laugh-out-loud moments and heart.”

Book Review:

Definitely a “falling for the ghost of you””

I was curious about this book, the description had me wanting to read it. Them I forgot I had the book, so when I remembered I was like let me go ahead and read this book and I’m glad I did.

Here are a few spoilers here and there in between…..

So this book was actually good, I liked Violet and Zane aka Adian story. I will say I didn’t know that that was going to be his BIG secret I didn’t even see that one coming. To find out his secrets that he was actually a “singer” the singer she liked and also her ex Matt, sister Kim also had a huge crush on. Not only that she lost her virginity to him, that is crazy but awesome at the same time. This book did have surprises towards the end, I’m glad that she actually forgave him. Because his secret wasn’t that bad, and it’s understandable why he kept that secret. Plus, her best friend end up pregnant by their substitute teacher now that is crazy like dang. Girl u had secrets too with Zane.

Plus, Zane and Violet being stepped sibling are so weird because they are dating both their parents (Violet) mom and (Zane) dad is going to have a kid. Then they both are siblings to that child. Then it ended up pregnant 5hat baby will be their daughter/son and their sibling will be that child uncle or aunt lmao. So bizarre.

Book Description:

Seventeen-year-old Violet Mercer returns home from her summer vacation in Hawaii to discover her boyfriend’s cheating on her with a friend. As if that wasn’t bad enough, her mother’s marrying a man she just met.

Things take an awkward turn when Violet meets her rich new stepfather, and his gorgeous son—the hot guy whom she made a fool of herself in front of earlier that day! Zane O’ Connor is sexy and charming, and way out of her league. He makes her forget her ex-boyfriend even existed. But there’s no way she’d ever have a chance with him…right?

Through a strange turn of events, Violet finds herself living with Zane for a month. Somewhere between the fighting and flirting, they become friends. And it isn’t long before that friendship blooms into something else…something more powerful than Violet anticipated.

But Zane is hiding something from her–something big enough to tear them apart if Violet ever discovered the truth about him. Her suspicions keep her from trusting him completely. She’s been burned before—is she willing to take that risk again?

As she and Zane spend more time together, Violet realizes it’s too late: she’s fallen for the beautiful boy with the big secret. Will she get her heart broken twice in one year—or will her love survive the truth?

For readers seventeen and older due to sexual situations and language.

Book Review:

*********++++Let’s Just Add a Few Little Spoilers here+++********

I’m never disappointed when I am reading one of Kasie West books. Her books are always interesting and pull me in from the beginning to end. And this book was good as the others, I’ve read, I cannot wait for her next book to come out in February I will definitely be reading that one too.

It may be a few spoilers in this book because I would like to state my opinion on the characters in this book. So anyways…

I already knew that Diego liked Katie and not Alana, and Frank liked Alana, but neither Katie or Alana could see it because one Katie hated Frank and Alana had a crush on Diego who Katie was trying to help Alana get but all along Diego wanted her. And she couldn’t even see for herself, not even the hits he was given when he called into the podcast. She kept thinking he was referring to Alana but it was her along then bad enough he thought she was the one that was asking him 9ut but found out it was Alana… But I assume that he wanted to ask Katie, and I was right because she finally read the magazine he had given her. But the festival had already happened, but he finally got the girl in the end. Oh, I believe Frank wanted to ask Alana too but he couldn’t because she asked out Deiago and he has no choice but to ask Katie instead. But Alana kept ditching Deiago and was always running off with Franke. She wasn’t trying too hard at all. But that was a good thing because he definitely didn’t like her.

Book Review:

Talking to other people isn’t Kate Bailey’s favorite activity. She’d much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school’s podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she’ll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible.

But to Kate’s surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana. Kate is excited for her friend … until Kate herself starts to develop feelings for Diego. Suddenly, Kate finds that while doling out wisdom to others may be easy, asking for help is tougher than it looks, and following your own advice is even harder.

Kasie West’s adorable story of secrets, love, and friendship is sure to win over hearts everywhere.

Book Review:

Spoilers…

I kind of figure Cooper probably liked Abby in the end. He just didn’t want to admit to his feelings for her until she told him off and stopped dealing with him for a couple of weeks after she seen him with Iris when he was supposed to be at her art show. That I wouldn’t blame her for because you get rid of your feelings for someone that you have a love for a long time and played it off just for them, just to not lose a friendship, and that she did. When he realized she wouldn’t come back, he sent her a coupon in the mail with the place she said would be a perfect date. Then he saw her with Elliot, and he got jealous which he should’ve been jealous because he already knew about how she felt though she played it off. In the end, he still acted like she was joking, but he didn’t want to admit to his own feeling because he was afraid. I was glad that he finally told her how he felt in the end and got rid of that girl Iris.

Btw: This book wasn’t all that but it did get good once I got to character twenty.

What do you do when you’ve fallen for your best friend? Funny and romantic, this effervescent story about family, friendship, and finding yourself is perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen and Jenny Han.

Seventeen-year-old Abby Turner’s summer isn’t going the way she’d planned. She has a not-so-secret but definitely unrequited crush on her best friend, Cooper. She hasn’t been able to manage her mother’s growing issues with anxiety. And now she’s been rejected from an art show because her work “has no heart.” So when she gets another opportunity to show her paintings, Abby isn’t going to take any chances.

Which is where the list comes in.

Abby gives herself one month to do ten things, ranging from face a fear (#3) to learn a stranger’s story (#5) to fall in love (#8). She knows that if she can complete the list, she’ll become the kind of artist she’s always dreamed of being.

But as the deadline approaches, Abby realizes that getting through the list isn’t as straightforward as it seems… and that maybe—just maybe—she can’t change her art if she isn’t first willing to change herself.

P.S. I Like You.

®°°°°°©Spoliers. ®°°°°©

I already knew I was going to like this book. Because so far every book I’ve read by author Kasie West has been good. And I never was disappointed not once. I love this story. Plus, I knew that the guy she was writing those letters to was Cade. At first, I was like maybe it is Lucas, but after awhile I am not it is Chad. I also thought he only bullies her because he liked her and her best friend already knew who was writing her and wanted them together because she knew that they deserve each other. Though they dated when they were younger. Especially with the way that both Lily and Chad always arguing and continued on arguing with one another throughout the school. That Sasha girl was just jealous of Lily. Going to try to hurt her in the end by reading the lyrics but she didn’t hurt her one bit only made her stronger and confident in submitting her lyrics in the contest. Not only that with Chad support though it was about Him.

The Distance Between Us by Kasie West. The book is interesting but not as good as the fill-in boyfriend. But never was disappointed by her books so far.

Description:

Money can’t buy a good first impression.

Seventeen-year-old Caymen Meyers learned early that the rich are not to be trusted. And after years of studying them from behind the cash register of her mom’s porcelain-doll shop, she has seen nothing to prove otherwise. Enter Xander Spence—he’s tall, handsome, and oozing rich. Despite his charming ways and the fact that he seems to be one of the first people who actually gets her, she’s smart enough to know his interest won’t last. Because if there’s one thing she’s learned from her mother’s warnings, it’s that the rich have a short attention span. But just when Xander’s loyalty and attentiveness are about to convince Caymen that being rich isn’t a character flaw, she finds out that money is a much bigger part of their relationship than she’d ever realized. With so many obstacles standing in their way, can she close the distance between them?

Book Review:

The Distance Between Us is actually a good book Caymen and Xander (by the way I hate that name) Alex was better to fit in my own opinion. But the storyline was interesting, I already knew they both were going to end up with each other. Also, I understand why Caymen was upset with her mother for keeping secrets about her family. They were out there struggling whereas her mom (well there family was actually rich). The Robert guy was actually a perk I didn’t understand his hate for Caymen, he probably wasn’t even Xander friend only was using him for who he was. I cannot wait to read the other books by Kasie West. The books I read by her so far was very good.

Book Description:

An irresistible story from Kasie West that explores the timeless question What do you do when you fall for the person you least expect?

When Autumn Collins finds herself accidentally locked in the library for an entire weekend, she doesn’t think things could get any worse. But that’s before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn’t know much about Dax except that he’s trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he’s not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her.

Only he doesn’t come. No one does.

Instead, it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend the next couple of days living off vending-machine food and making conversation with a boy who clearly wants nothing to do with her. Except there is more to Dax than meets the eye. As he and Autumn at first grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly, open up to each other, Autumn is struck by their surprising connection. But can their feelings for each other survive once the weekend is over and Autumn’s old life, and old love interest, threaten to pull her from Dax’s side?

Book Review:

Spoilers….

This book was actually good, I wasn’t disappointed, but it wasn’t as good as her other book I owned and read “Fill in boyfriend.” But I did like Autumn and Dax story, I was rooting for them too, and I like how her friends accepted him. And Dallin was wrong for treating her the way he did. Plus I believe she should’ve told her friends about her anxiety attacks, I know that I have panic disorder there’s no way I would do something that I know will lead to a panic attack. I was glad when they put the pillow over her, and she screamed at them and finally told them about her anxiety attacks.

When it came to talking to Dax, I believe it was easier for her to talk to him beside her friends, it can be like that. Because it’s like that with me, I cannot talk to my family or best friend about anything including my panic attacks, but my guy friend I can. With Dax and Autumn, I believe he did calm her as to where her friends aren’t calm and have her doing things she knew she shouldn’t be doing.

Any and Gia plan would work when Nate came over. I couldn’t stand the girl Jule she was not Gia friend, and her own friends were not her friends either. Smh.

I really liked this story not sure I got the part about Bradley in the description I assume he was going to tell her friends, but it was Jules wack self I believe that was jealous of Gia. And wanted what Gia had and even though Claire and Lancy were mad at her if they were her REAL friends, they would’ve forgiven her for the lie, she was telling. Plus it’s like the female turn a blind eye towards what the Jules girl was doing and ignored everything that Gia had done smh. I was glad when she mad new friends who actually cared.
